Abstract

Improved compositions comprising stem cell exosomes are provided, together with methods of making and using the same for modulating a skin condition. The compositions provided comprise isolated stem cell exosomes having increased levels of heat shock stress response molecules.Uses of compositions containing exosome for conditioning human skin include inducing increased skin integrity through cellular renewal, enhancing skin water content or moisture, reducing transepidermal water loss, skin peeling and desquamation, improving skin thickness, enhancing skin tensile properties, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture, reducing skin pore size, enhancing skin luster, improving skin age spots, improving skin tone, and improving the appearance of scars and skin abrasions.
