Description

[0001] The invention relates to a sun protection roller blind according to the combination of features of the preamble of patent claim 1 of the invention.

[0002] DE 10 2005 057 248 A1 discloses a sun protection roller blind integrated into the sill of an interior door panel of a vehicle, comprising a roller blind fabric that can be wound up onto a shaft. The roller blind fabric has a tension rod at its free end with a handle mounted on the same pivoting or rotating base. The handle can be used to raise or lower the roller blind. The sun protection roller blind, including the tension rod and handle, is arranged in a shaft in the interior door panel. The shaft is covered by a pivoting or rotating shaft cover. When the shaft cover is closed, the handle rests on a push button within a recess in the interior door panel, which can be used to lift the handle to grasp it. Furthermore, when the shaft cover is closed, the roller blind is integrated flush with the sill of the interior door panel, so that neither the shaft cover nor the handle protrude from the sill.Above the said interior door panel, the vehicle door has hook-shaped retaining means into which the roller blind fabric can be hooked with its tension rod. DE 10 2007 021 305 A1 describes a sun protection roller blind integrated into a parapet of the interior door panel of a vehicle, with a roller blind fabric that can be wound up onto a shaft, which roller blind fabric has a tension rod with a hook element at its free end. A handle is pivotably or rotatably mounted on the hook element. By means of the handle, the hook element can be fixed to the upper edge of a movable window pane. When the roller blind fabric is wound up, the hook element and the handle are arranged in a recess in the interior door panel. US 2012 / 0049564 A1 describes a sun protection roller blind with a roller blind fabric that can be wound up onto a shaft and a tension rod-like stiffening element consisting of two stiffening plates.A handle designed as a two-armed lever is pivotally mounted on the said stiffening element. One lever arm forms a fastening hook at its free end, while the other lever arm forms a grip. When the roller blind fabric is wound up, the handle is arranged in a recess in the interior door panel. US 2003 / 0192651 A1 describes a screening component for an architectural opening, such as a window in a building structure with a glass pane simulated by glazing bars. The screening component has several retractable roller blind components arranged parallel to horizontal frame elements of a window frame, each with a shaft and a roller blind fabric made of a fabric material wound thereon. All roller blind components are operatively connected and operable with a single handle.Said handle comprises a base component slidably guided in a slot of a vertical frame element of the window frame. A pivoting arm is arranged on said base component for easier handling. DE 100 10 026 A1 describes a roller blind assembly for a motor vehicle side window, the upper frame contour of which is defined by a curved roof contour. At the upper end of a roller blind strip that can be pulled off a roll, it comprises a pivoting flat profile with a side edge that follows the roof contour.

[0003] The object of the invention is to create an alternative sun protection roller blind with regard to the state of the art, which requires a minimized installation space and is comfortable to handle.

[0004] Starting from a sun protection roller blind for a window of a vehicle, with a roller blind fabric, which is attached at one end to a shaft and can be wound up thereon and at the other end has at least one pivotally mounted handle, by means of which the roller blind fabric can be transferred from a first, retracted operating position, in which the roller blind fabric is wound up on said shaft, into a second, extended operating position, in which the roller blind fabric is at least partially unwound from the shaft and the window is at least partially covered, and can be fixed in this second operating position, wherein the roller blind fabric is guided in a guide slot of an interior panel of a vehicle door, and wherein the at least one handle is designed as a lever with at least one lever arm, the stated object is achieved in that a handle is pivotally mounted at the free end of the at least one lever arm,and that in the first operating position of the roller blind fabric, the handle including the pivoting handle is arranged within a recess in a parapet of the said interior panel.

[0005] Due to the relatively large handles of state-of-the-art roller blinds, the sill of the interior paneling of conventional vehicle doors must also be relatively wide to prevent the handle from disadvantageously extending beyond the door sill into the interior of the vehicle. However, the trend in new vehicle developments is towards narrower door sills, meaning that the installation space for the handle of the roller blind is no longer sufficient to fully integrate it into the door sill. This is where the invention described below comes in. Due to the pivoting or foldable design of the handle relative to at least one lever arm of the handle, the dimensions of the handle can be advantageously minimized in the first, retracted operating position of the roller blind fabric.Because the roller blind fabric is guided in a guide slot in the interior panel of a vehicle door and, in the first operating position of the roller blind fabric, the handle including the pivoting handle is arranged within a recess in a parapet of the said interior panel, disadvantageous overhang of the handle over the said interior door panel or parapet is effectively avoided, even in the case of narrow door parapets.

[0006] The subclaims describe preferred developments or embodiments of the invention.

[0007] The handle, in its rest position, is then placed on the side of the handle facing away from the roller blind fabric and can be folded down from the handle for operation. This means that for unwinding the roller blind fabric, the handle can be conveniently enlarged in size by folding the handle down from the handle. As further provided by the invention, the handle preferably has a stop that limits the pivoting angle “α” of the handle. This measure makes the roller blind fabric easier to manipulate for fixing in its second operating position. In extensive tests, an angle “α” of 110° to 130°, preferably of approximately 120°, has proven advantageous. As further provided by the invention, the handle, in its rest position, be it in the first or second operating position of the roller blind fabric, is placed on the handle, designed as a two-armed lever, under spring force. This advantageously results in an automatic minimization of the installation space of the handle after the grip is operated.

[0008] The at least one handle is preferably designed as a two-armed lever with a first and a second lever arm. Advantageously, a positive-locking element is formed at the free end of the first lever arm, which corresponds to a stationary positive-locking counter-element for fixing the second operating position of the roller blind fabric. The handle is preferably pivotably mounted at the free end of the second lever arm.

[0009] Advantageously, the recess in the sill of the interior trim is designed such that the handle, including the grip and preferably the form-fitting element, is arranged below the upper edge of the recess, or preferably adjoins or almost adjoins the plane of the upper edge of the recess, or more preferably, at least in sections, is flush with the upper edge of the recess. The last-described alternative results in a homogeneous contour of the sill without steps, projections, or the like. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the recess is delimited on the vehicle interior side by an uninterrupted edge of the sill formed by the interior trim of the vehicle door, resulting in a particularly favorable contour of the sill.

[0010] To ensure even winding and unwinding of the roller blind fabric, the handle is pivotally mounted on a tension rod connected to the roller blind fabric, which is attached to the free end of the roller blind fabric along its entire or almost entire length. To achieve simple and cost-effective fixation of the roller blind fabric in its second operating position, the form-locking element is preferably rod- or hook-shaped. A rod-shaped form-locking element extends along the free end of the roller blind fabric or its tension rod and is received by preferably U-shaped form-locking counter-elements that are fixed or formed on the vehicle door or vehicle body or vehicle window. If, on the other hand, a hook-shaped form-locking element is preferred, the form-locking counter-element is formed, for example, by a rod or slotted receptacle into which the hook-shaped form-locking element is hooked.

[0011] The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment schematically illustrated in the drawings. However, it is not limited to this embodiment, but encompasses all embodiments defined by the patent claims. They show: Fig. 1 a perspective view of an interior door panel of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, with a sun blind according to the prior art in a first, retracted operating position, with a handle for manually operating the sun blind, Fig. 2 the sun protection roller blind according to the state of the art in a second, extended operating position, Fig. 3 a detailed representation of the handle of an embodiment of a sun protection roller blind designed according to the invention at a time “t0” in the first, retracted operating position thereof, Fig. 4 cut “II” according to Fig. 3, Fig. 5 the section “II” according to Fig. 3 at a time “t1” at the beginning of the transfer of the sun blind of the Fig. 3 into a second, extended operating position of the same, and Fig. 6 the sun protection blind of the Fig. 3 at a time “t2” in the second, extended operating position thereof.

[0012] The Fig. 1 and Fig. For the sake of clarity, Figures 2 and 3 show only an interior panel 1 of a vehicle door, into which a sun protection roller blind according to the prior art is integrated. The sun protection roller blind conventionally consists of a roller blind fabric 2 made of plastic, metal, natural fibers, or a composite of said materials. The roller blind fabric 2 is fastened at one end to a shaft (not shown in the drawing) in a manner known per se and can be wound onto this shaft. For this purpose, the shaft is spring-loaded in the winding direction. The interior panel 1 of the vehicle door has a parapet 1a, which adjoins a window (not shown in the drawing). Within the parapet 1a, a guide slot 3 of a shaft 4 of the said interior panel 1 is formed. The shaft is arranged in the shaft 4. The roller blind fabric 2 passes through the guide slot 3 of the shaft 4. Fig. 1 shows the sun protection roller blind in a first, retracted operating position 5 of the roller blind fabric 2, whereas Fig. 2 shows the roller blind 2 in a second, extended operating position 6 covering the window of the vehicle door, which is not shown in the drawing.

[0013] The roller blind 2 has at its other end or at its free end a tension rod 7 extending along the edge of the roller blind 2 ( Fig. 2). A handle 8 is pivotally mounted on said tension rod 7. The handle 8 is designed as a two-armed lever with a first and a second lever arm 9, 10. The first lever arm 9 is directed essentially towards the outside of the vehicle, whereas the second lever arm 10 is directed towards the inside of the vehicle, i.e. towards the vehicle occupant (not shown in the drawing). At the free end of the first lever arm 9, a form-locking element 11 is formed, which engages with elements fixed or formed on the vehicle door or vehicle body (not shown in the drawing) and in Fig. 2 extremely schematically illustrated form-locking counter-elements 12 for fixing the second operating position 6 of the roller blind 2. According to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the positive locking element 11 is rod-shaped and extends along the free end of the roller blind fabric 2 or its tension rod 7. The rod-shaped positive locking element 11 is received by preferably U-shaped positive locking counter-elements 12 by hooking the rod-shaped positive locking element 11 into the U-shaped positive locking counter-elements 12 from above. The second lever arm 10 of the handle 8 forms a gripping piece 13, which serves to manipulate the roller blind fabric 2 during its transfer from its first, retracted to its second, extended operating position 5, 6 and back.

[0014] Again Fig. As can be further seen from Figure 1, the handle 8, including the form-locking element 11 and the grip 13, is arranged within a recess 14 of the parapet 1a of the interior panel 1. The parapet 1a is designed to be relatively wide, so that the grip 13 does not disadvantageously extend beyond the interior panel 1 or its parapet 1a into the vehicle interior.

[0015] As already explained above, the trend in new vehicle developments is towards narrower door sills 1a, so that the installation space for the handle 13 of the sun protection roller blind is no longer sufficient to fully integrate it into the sill 1a. To counteract this situation, based on the prior art described above, a handle 15 is now pivotably mounted at the free end of the second lever arm 10. This means that the second lever arm 10 no longer forms a handle 13 itself, but rather a handle 15 is mounted on the second lever arm 10 in such a way that the handle 15, in a rest position 16 of the second lever arm, is placed on the side of the handle 8, which is designed as a two-armed lever, facing away from the roller blind fabric 2 ( Fig. 3 and Fig. 4). Preferably, the handle 15 is placed in said rest position 16 by means of one or more spring elements not shown in the drawing, spring-loaded according to the direction arrow 17, on the handle 8 designed as a two-armed lever ( Fig. 4).

[0016] Again Fig. As can be further seen from Figure 4, according to this exemplary embodiment, the free end of the gripping piece 15 does not rest directly on the handle 8 designed as a two-armed lever, but rather has a spacing that facilitates the vehicle occupant's finger gripping behind it for comfortable handling of the sun blind. Of course, it may also be advisable, and is accordingly encompassed by the invention, to place the gripping piece 15 almost entirely on the handle 8 designed as a two-armed lever, provided that means are provided that allow said gripping behind the gripping piece 15 at its free end.For example, a suitable recess for engaging behind can be provided at the free end of the handle 15 and / or the handle 15 itself can be designed as a rocker, which allows the said free end to first be lifted from the handle 8 designed as a two-armed lever and then to be engaged behind (not shown in the drawing).

[0017] The invention will be further described in its function below. As already explained above, the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 based on Fig. 1 the sun protection roller in a state in which its roller blind 2 is in the first, retracted operating position 5 at a time "t0". Assuming that the roller blind 2 is to be pulled in front of the window of the vehicle door (not shown in the drawing), at a time "t1" the grip 15 of the handle 8 is first grasped behind and folded down by the handle 8, which is designed as a two-armed lever ( Fig. 5). Now, the roller blind fabric 2 can be pulled off the shaft and moved upwards along the window to be covered according to the direction arrow 18 into the second operating position 6 and fixed at a time "t2" in this second operating position 6 to a door section or to a body section above the window ( Fig. 6). For fixation, the conventional rod-shaped form-locking elements 11 of the first lever arm 9 of the handle 8, as already described above, are provided, which in turn are received by U-shaped form-locking counter-elements 12. However, the invention is not limited to such mutually corresponding form-locking elements 11 and form-locking counter-elements 12, but also encompasses, for example, a hook-shaped form-locking element 11, which is positively received by a correspondingly designed form-locking counter-element 12, such as a receiving rod or a receiving slot (not shown in the drawing). To limit the pivoting angle "α" of the handle 15, a corresponding stop is formed on the second lever arm 10 and / or on the handle 15 (not shown in the drawing). The pivoting angle "α" is approximately 110° to 130°, preferably approximately 120°.This measure makes it easier to manipulate the roller blind fabric 2 for securing it in its second operating position 6. When the handle 15 is released, it automatically springs back into its rest position 16 due to spring force (directional arrow 17), in which it rests on or is pressed against the handle 8, which is designed as a two-armed lever.

[0018] As in particular the Fig.3, the recess 14 in the parapet 1a of the interior panel 1 is designed such that the handle 8, including the form-fitting element 11 and grip 15, is partially flush with the upper edge 19 of the recess 14. This results in a largely homogeneous profile of the parapet 1a without steps, projections, or the like. Furthermore, according to this embodiment of the invention, the recess 14 is delimited on the vehicle interior side by an uninterrupted edge 20 of the parapet 1a formed by the interior panel 1 of the vehicle door, resulting in a particularly favorable parapet profile.

[0019] The above-described embodiment of the sun blind designed according to the invention is essentially based on a sun protection blind for covering the window of a vehicle door. Of course, any window of a vehicle that is to be covered is also encompassed by the invention, in particular other side windows outside said vehicle doors, as well as rear windows and roof windows.
