Access panel

An access panel for providing access to cables, services or the like through an opening in a floor having a floor covering, is disclosed. The access panel includes a floor frame (10) located in the opening and a lid (100) supported on the frame (10). The frame (10) has a support flange (26) extending around its periphery which extends between the floor covering and the floor deck. The flange (26) provides a ramped edge tapered substantially uniformly over a distance of between 10 and 20 times the maximum thickness of the flange (26). The outermost part of the flange (26) is typically formed from a flexible polymeric material. A rib (20) extends around an aperture in the frame (10) and the height of the rib (20) is lower than the load bearing surface of the floor. The hinge (24, 120) is generally square and defines a pivot surface which extends parallel to and is spaced inwardly from an inner edge of the frame (10). A lid (100) for closing the aperture defines a bearing surface (120) which is adapted to slidably engage on the pivot surface (24) to allow the lid (100) to bear and pivot about the pivot surface (24). The lid (100) includes hatches (104, 106) which are moveable between an open position in which there is an aperture in the lid (100) through which cable services may extend and a closed position in which there is no aperture. Locking means (124, 126) are provided between the hatch (104, 106) and the frame (10) to lock the hatch (104, 106) in place in both the open and closed positions.

Hinge assembly and housing

A hinge assembly adapted for a housing having a main body and a sub-body rotatably positioned on the main body, the hinge assembly including: a first hinge portion adapted to rotatably support both lower sides of the sub-body; and a second hinge portion adapted to rotatably support a rear surface of the sub-body with a surface contact and to maintain a rotated angle of the sub-body. The first hinge portion includes: a hinge protrusion arranged on one side surface of the sub-body; a hinge protrusion inserting-hole arranged on one side surface of a sub-body rotational space and adapted to receive the hinge protrusion; a hinge-hole arranged on the other side surface of the sub-body; a through-hole arranged on the other side surface of a sub-body rotational space to correspond to the hinge-hole; and a hinge locker passing through the through-hole and the hinge-hole. The second hinge portion includes: a curved portion protruding from a bottom surface of the sub-body and having a gear groove arranged on the surface thereof; a window arranged on the sub-body rotational space of the main body and passing through the curved portion; and a pinion rotatably positioned at a predetermined position, the pinion arranged to be rotated together with the sub-body upon the sub-body being rotated in engagement with the gear groove.

Foldable supporting structure and display device

The application provides a foldable supporting structure and a flexible display device. The supporting structure comprises a flexible substrate, first supporting parts and second supporting parts; theflexible substrate is used for arranging an external to-be-folded object; the side, back on to the to-be-folded object, of the flexible substrate comprises a bending area, transition areas and non-bending areas; the non-bending areas are located on two sides of the bending area, and the bending area and the non-bending areas are connected through the transition areas; the first supporting parts are fixedly arranged in the non-bending areas; the second supporting parts are arranged in the transition areas and connected with the first supporting parts; and the thickness of the second supportingparts is decreased progressively from the ends close to the non-bending areas to the ends close to the bending areas. Through the arrangement that the thickness of the second supporting parts is gradually reduced, when the flexible substrate and the external to-be-folded object arranged on the flexible substrate are folded, smooth transition can be achieved to form a standard drop-shaped structure in the bending area and the transition areas.
