1125 results about "Fire door" patented technology

A fire door is a door with a fire-resistance rating (sometimes referred to as a fire protection rating for closures) used as part of a passive fire protection system to reduce the spread of fire and smoke between separate compartments of a structure and to enable safe egress from a building or structure or ship. In North American building codes, it, along with fire dampers, is often referred to as a closure, which can be derated compared against the fire separation that contains it, provided that this barrier is not a firewall or an occupancy separation. In Europe national standards for fire doors have been harmonised with the introduction of the new standard EN 16034, which refers to fire doors as fire-resisting door sets. Starting September 2016, a common CE marking procedure was available abolishing trade barriers within the European Union for these types of products. In the UK, it is Part B of the Building Regulations that sets out the minimum requirements for the fire protection that must be implemented in all dwellings this includes the use of fire doors. All fire doors must be installed with the appropriate fire resistant fittings, such as the frame and door hardware, for it to fully comply with any fire regulations.

Disclosed is an incombustible composition for a fire door/wall, the fire door/wall using the incombustible composition, and a method of producing the fire door/wall. The incombustible composition includes 1 to 80 wt % of organic or inorganic fiber, 1 to 80 wt % of fly ash or bottom ash, 1 to 80 wt % of fire-proofing agent, 1 to 30 wt % of curing fire-retardant resin, and 1 to 40 wt % of incombustible hollow filler. Furthermore, the method includes providing the incombustible composition, mixing the fly ash or bottom ash, fire-proofing agent, and curing fire-retardant resin with each other, adding the organic or inorganic fiber into a mixture, shattering the mixture containing the organic or inorganic fiber, mixing an incombustible hollow body with the shattered mixture by use of a mixer using air, pressing the resulting mixture using a high pressure hot press to form a board or a square timber, constructing a frame of the fire door/wall using the board and/or square timber, and embedding an incombustible core material into the fire door/wall. As well, 1 to 70 wt % of the incombustible composition may be made of a waste material. Accordingly, the incombustible composition is advantageous in that the production costs are reduced, and that it is useful as a construction finishing and interior material because no fire and toxic gases occur when the incombustible composition is on fire.

Fire-fighting coordinated control system

The invention discloses a fire-fighting coordinated control system. The fire-fighting coordinated control system comprises a fire-fighting module, an evacuation module and a fire control room, whereinthe fire-fighting module includes a fire detector, a manual alarm button, a smoke evacuation system, a fire door, a fireproof roller-blind door, a fire hydrant pump and a gas extinguishing device; the fire detector includes smoke detectors and heat detectors which are arranged at a plurality of positions; the evacuation module includes extension telephones for fire-fighting, a fire emergency broadcasting system, a fire alarm, an evacuation indication system and fire-fighting emergency lighting; each extension telephone for fire-fighting is individually linked with an operator for fire-fighting; the fire control room includes a fire alarm controller, a fire-fighting linkage controller, fire-fighting control graph display, the operator for fire fighting and a fire-fighting power supply monitor; and the fire-fighting linkage controller is used for linkage control of the equipment of the fire-fighting module and the evacuation module. By means of coordination between the fire-fighting module, the fire control room and the evacuation module, the fire-fighting coordinated control system performs linkage control of working of fire-fighting equipment, and can timely put out a fire and guide the masses to evacuate.
