A sterilization container for medical instruments includes a receptacle with a bottom wall and an open top, there being a multiplicity of vent openings in the bottom wall. A container comprises a tray body having a top lid portion and a bottom portion. The top lid portion and bottom portion form a re-closable seal around their periphery. A top tab extends from the top lid portion. A bottom tab extends from the bottom portion. A locking mechanism is formed in the top and bottom tabs for substantially permanent engagement. A perforation line in at least one of the top and bottom tabs isolates the locking mechanism, whereby the perforation line must be broken when gaining access inside the tray body.

Compositions and methods for manufacturing sheets having a starch-bound matrix reinforced with fibers and optionally including an inorganic mineral filler. Suitable mixtures for forming the sheets are prepared by mixing together water, unmodified and ungelatinized starch granules, an auxiliary water-dispersible organic polymer, fibers, and optionally an inorganic mineral filler in the correct proportions to form a sheet having desired properties. The mixtures are formed into sheets by passing them between one or more sets of heated rollers to form green sheets. The heated rollers cause the auxiliary polymer to form a skin on the outer surfaces of the sheet that prevents the starch granules from causing the sheet to adhere to the rollers upon gelation of the starch. The green sheets are passed between heated rollers to gelatinize the starch granules, and then to dry the sheet by removing a substantial portion of the water by evaporation. The starch and auxiliary polymer form the binding matrix of the sheets with the fibers and optional inorganic filler dispersed throughout the binding matrix. The starch-bound sheets can be cut, rolled, pressed, scored, perforated, folded, and glued to fashion articles from the sheets much like paper or paperboard. The sheets are particularly useful in the mass production of containers, such as food and beverage containers.

Disclosed is a package for storing a product, such as smokeless tobacco, which includes, inter alia, a container that has opposing upper and lower surfaces, and a container sidewall that extends between the upper and lower surfaces to define an interior for storing a plurality of products. The upper surface of the container has an apex intermediate a first region and a second region and the container sidewall defines an opening sized and configured to release at least one of the products. The package also includes an outer cover having an upper section and a cover sidewall depending from the upper section. The present invention relates to an improved cellular phone casing capable of storing a cellular phone (a mobile phone) from an external impact when a cellular phone is stored in a bag and is carried and capable of preventing a cellular phone from moisture in rain or at a beach. The cellular phone storing casing comprises a casing body that has an inner storing space having a certain size and depth for storing a common cellular phone wherein an upper side of the same is opened for an easier storing and unloading of a cellular phone; a cover body that is fabricated in separation with the casing body and stores or unloads in a state that a cellular phone is sealed in the inner storing space of the casing body wherein the cover body is opened and closed with respect to the casing body; a hinge connection part that is designed so that the cover body is rotatable with respect to one surface of the casing body; and a locking part sealingly engages or opens the cover body with respect to the casing body.

A container and method are provided for storing fat containing liquid products, such as infant or baby formula, or other milk-based products. The container includes a body defining a storage chamber for receiving the aseptic fat containing liquid product, and a first aperture in fluid communication with the storage chamber. The body does not leach more than a predetermined amount of leachables into the fat containing liquid product and does not undesirably alter a taste profile of the fat containing liquid product. A container closure assembly includes a stopper receivable within the first aperture for hermetically sealing the storage chamber. The stopper includes a first material portion defining an internal surface in fluid communication with the storage chamber forming at least most of the surface area of the container closure that can contact any fat containing liquid product within the storage chamber and that does not leach more than a predetermined amount of leachables into the fat containing liquid product or undesirably alter a taste profile of the fat containing liquid product. A second material portion of the stopper either (i) overlies the first material portion and cannot contact any product within the storage chamber, or (ii) forms a substantially lesser surface area of the container closure that can contact any product within the storage chamber in comparison to the first material portion. The second material portion is needle penetrable for filling the storage chamber with product, and a resulting needle aperture formed in the second material portion is thermally resealable such as by the application of laser energy to seal the product within the storage chamber. A sealing portion of the container closure is engageable with the body prior to needle filling the storage chamber to thereby form a substantially dry hermetic seal between the container closure and body.

A soft sided insulated container assembly includes a first portion having an insulated, soft sided external wall structure, and a second portion that defined a lid co-operable with the first portion. The lid includes an auxiliary access opening and closure member that are smaller than the main opening, and that can be operated one-handed. A rigid work surface is provided, typically immediately adjacent to the secondary closure member, the work surface providing a place for holding or mixing a drink or for preparing a snack. In some embodiments the work surface may be movable relative to the container, whether slidable in a co-planar or parallel planar manner in translation, or folding as in a foldable shelf. The entire container assembly may be foldable or collapsible to a storage condition, and the rigid member, whether fixed or movable, does not impede that folding or collapsing.

The assembly has a lid fitted over the top of the shell, and a foot pedal positioned adjacent the bottom of the shell, with a portion of the foot pedal positioned inside the periphery of the shell. A tamper-evident rigid plastic food container system wherein the outer periphery of the mating surfaces of the lid and tray are permanently bonded together after the food product has been placed in the tray, a set of perforated rows at an inner periphery, the interconnect of which needs to be torn into order to open the lid. Intentional, inadvertent or malicious ingress into the container can only be made by tearing at the perforations thereby evidencing the potential tampering and contamination of the packaging contents. A can (1) having a spout that can, after opening, be securely resealed and can be opened and closed with an easy operation. The can (1) has a spout (3) that is opened by lifting and pulling a pull-ring (6) fixed on a top wall (2) of a can body (1a) with a rivet (5) to bend a sealing tongue portion (4) toward the inside of the can. A container having an openable lid includes a body and a lid. The body includes a base, at least one wall extending upwardly from the base, and a first surface disposed near a top of the at least one wall. The lid is adapted to engage a top of the at least one wall when the container is in a closed position, and includes a second surface disposed near a bottom of the lid. A foam gasket is permanently attached to and located on one of the first and second surfaces, and provides a seal between the lid and the body when the container is in a closed position. Childproof packaging for a product such as matches or pharmaceutical tablets includes a sleeve and a container for the product within the sleeve. The package includes two pairs of latches, with each latch of a pair oppositely located on the package. A user must use both hands simultaneously, with a respective hand operating a respective pair of latches, to hold the latches in an unlatched condition and also simultaneously to apply pressure to the container to slide it outwardly relatively to the sleeve. Such a two-handed, five finger operation to open the package requires a dexterity that is easy for adults but very difficult for children. Each latch may be a spring arm mounted tab or button which seats in an aperture in the sleeve.

A clam-shell container comprising a cover hingedly connected to a tray, with both the cover and tray having cooperating structures that form a leak-proof seal when the clam-shell container is closed. The container and cooperating structures are formed such that the user can effect the formation of the leak-proof seal in a single step. A cassette for containment, storage and processing of material samples, having a top member that is slideably attachable to and detachable from the base member with minimal force and relaxed requirement for precision in the alignment operation. The top member is hingeably connected to the base member when attached and is positively locked to the base member in the attached closed position. A hermetic sample holder for use in performing microanalysis of a sample under a controlled atmosphere environment. The sample holder comprises a sample holder body with a sample cavity to receive the sample and a cover movably mounted to the holder body between an open position to allow access to the cavity and a closed position to seal the cavity. The cover is secured in and released from the closed position at least in part by a pressure differential between the cavity and the ambient atmosphere. The cover may be biased toward the open position. A disposable cup lid for placement onto a drinking cup is provided, having a tear tab which is generally aligned with the orientation of the extruded plastic sheet material from which the cup lid is made. There is a first, generally centrally located region in the lid, which has a higher elevation than the cup rim receiving recess at the periphery of the lid; and there is an indentation formed in the central region which is provided so as to accommodate the tear tab when it is folded back around a U-shaped hinge to create a drink-through opening in the cup lid. The indentation has a pair of detents located at its edges so as to hold and retain the tear tab in place when the foldback flap is folded back about the U-shaped hinge and the tear tab is inserted into the indentation.
