Abstract

Compact planetary gear system comprising a first stage (2) with: a first sun gear (13) centered on a longitudinal axis (X) of the gear system (1); a plurality of first planet gears (7) meshing with the first sun gear (13); a first ring gear (4) centered on the longitudinal axis (X), surrounding the first planet gears (7), and meshing with them; a first retaining member (5) pivotably holding the plurality of first planet gears (7) and provided with an insert (57) centered on the longitudinal axis (X); wherein the plurality of first planet gears (7) consists of four first planet gears (7) evenly divided between a first set (71) and a second set (72);and wherein the first planet gears (7) of the first set (71) and of the second set (72) are each arranged on different planes aligned parallel to each other and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (X), characterized in that the first stage (2) also comprises a plurality of first auxiliary gears (10) equal to the number of first planet gears (7), wherein the first auxiliary gears (10) are each engaged with a corresponding pair consisting of a first planet gear (7) of the first set (71) and a first planet gear (7) of the second set (72).
