Abstract

Reminder of the titleDevice for sleeping with a medical device by Continuous Positive Pressure used for the treatment of sleep apnea. Technical field and statement of the problemThe invention relates to a device for sleeping with a CPAP device without risk of air leakage and removal of the mask. Main characteristics of the solutionIt consists of a T-shirt (1) or a nightie having on its front face a funnel-shaped pocket (2), equipped with a zipper (4) through which the air tube (6) is introduced to keep it in line with the patient's mask (7). Thus, during movements during sleep, the patient moves his mask and the air tube simultaneously in the same direction, canceling any friction force. Intended useThe device according to the invention is particularly intended for better patient acceptance of his Continuous Positive Pressure ventilation treatment.Choice of an illustration to accompany the abstractFigures for the abstract: Fig.1, Fig.2.

Description

Title of the invention: Device for sleeping with a medical device using Continuous Positive Pressure (CPAP)

[0001] General introductory paragraph The present invention mainly relates to a device for sleeping with a medical apparatus by Continuous Positive Pressure used for the treatment of sleep apnea.

[0002] State of the art: existing solution no. 1 The CPAP medical device used to treat sleep apnea is composed of two elements: the CPAP breathing apparatus and the mask that is inserted into the nostrils, under or over the nose, or over the nose and mouth. The patient uses a so-called minimalist or universal mask, i.e. equipped with an air inlet tube connected to the face. The turbine continuously sends pressurized air into the upper airways, thus preventing them from closing. This significantly reduces the number of apneas and hypopneas during sleep. Technical problem - limitation of the existing solution No. 1: during sleep, the patient makes movements that exert a force on the mask in one direction and a force on the air inlet tube in the opposite direction. In most cases, these opposing forces exert such pressure on the mask that they cause an air leak or even the mask to fall off.Which reduces the effectiveness of the treatment and the benefits for the patient.

[0003] State of the art: existing solution no. 2 New so-called "high connection" masks, which swivel 360°, are equipped with an air supply tube connected above the head, allowing the patient more freedom of movement. Technical problem - limitation of the existing solution no. 2: while sleeping, the patient makes movements that exert a force on the mask in one direction and a force on the air supply tube in the opposite direction. In this specific case, there remains a risk of air leakage and removal of the mask. The effectiveness of the treatment is still not optimal for the patient who has difficulty tolerating his CPAP ventilation treatment.

[0004] Presentation of the invention and its characteristics The device according to the invention makes it possible to address this problem. It comprises, in fact, according to a first characteristic, a T-shirt or nightie having a pocket equipped with a zipper through which the air hose of the patient's mask can be inserted and trapped. Reasons why the invention can solve the technical problem raised: this pocket, which is assembled on the front face of the T-shirt or nightie, guides the air hose to keep it in line with the mask. Thus, during sleep, the patient makes movements that exert force on the mask and the air tube in the same direction. With no pressure exerted on the mask, there is no longer any risk of air leakage or the mask being removed. The effectiveness of the treatment is then optimal for the patient, who better accepts their CPAP ventilation treatment.

[0005] According to particular embodiments: - a piece of fabric can be used from a sewing pattern drawn in the shape of a funnel - a zipper can be provided on the piece of fabric to introduce and trap the air hose. - the piece of fabric can be assembled to a T-shirt or a nightie acting as a support, the whole representing the invention.

[0006] Description of the figure The attached drawing illustrates the invention. The attached table shows the different sizes of the invention.

[0007] [Fig.l] represents a front view of the device of the invention.

[0008] [Fig.2] shows the different sizes of the invention.

[0009] Method of carrying out the invention by a person skilled in the art (mandatory) With reference to this drawing, the device comprises a piece of fabric designed in the shape of a funnel (2) on which a zipper (4) has been sewn right through in its center. The whole is assembled (3) on the front face of a T-shirt or a nightie (1) thus forming the guide system of the pipe.

[0010] The zipper (4) in the closed position allows the air inlet hose (6) of the PPC machine (8) to be held (5) in line with the patient's mask (7).

[0011] As a non-limiting example, the device can be assembled to a T-shirt or nightie with or without sleeves for women of size M and having dimensions of 47cm wide and 38cm long. In all cases the device will be assembled on all styles and types of T-shirt or nightie, of all sizes and materials and will be designed for both men and women.

[0012] The device according to the invention is particularly intended for better acceptance by the patient of his treatment by Continuous Positive Pressure ventilation.
