Method and apparatus for p2p group communication between non-ap multi-link devices

Abstract

A non-access point (non-AP) multi-link device (MLD) comprising a first affiliated non-AP station 530 and a second affiliated non-AP station 230, wherein the non-AP MLD comprises an upper MAC sublayer 424a common to the first and second affiliated non-AP stations 530, 230. A single service access point (SAP), e.g. MAC SAP, is provided to upper layers, wherein the upper MAC sublayer 424a is configured to receive from the SAP an entering data flow with an associated indication to identify the entering data flow, wherein the indication is a stream classification service identifier (SCSID) identifying an SCS stream. The non-AP MLD comprises a tagging function at upper layers, configured to tag data flow prior to sending the data flow to the SAP interface, wherein the tagging comprises associating an SCSID to the data flow. The upper MAC sublayer 424a may transfer the entering data flow to a single lower MAC sublayer from two lower MAC sublayers 424b corresponding to the first and second affiliated non-AP stations 530, 230 respectively.
