Abstract

To provide a commodity treatment device and a measuring / packaging apparatus that can enhance workability in identifying a commodity contained in a container.SOLUTION: A measuring / packaging device 1 comprises: a capture part 16 which captures an image of a commodity G contained in a container to obtain a captured image; a storage part 61 which stores a plurality of pieces of commodity information identifying the commodity and container information linked to the commodity and identifying the kind of the container, respectively; and an identification part 62 which identifies the commodity G contained in the container based upon the captured image. The identification part 62 acquires, based upon the captured image, a commodity, which may be a candidate among a plurality of commodities associated with the plurality of pieces of commodity information stored in the storage part 61, as a first candidate, identifies the container, and then uses the container information to acquire the commodity linked to the identified container as a second candidate. The identification part 62 identifies the commodity contained in the container based upon the first candidate and the second candidate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
