AI Technical Summary
The power generation performance of roofing material type solar cell modules is degraded due to shadows cast by thicker roofing materials, which can be thicker than the solar cell modules, depending on the direction of sunlight.
A roofing material cover with a side chamfered portion is used to reduce the height between its upper and side surfaces, minimizing shadowing on the solar cell module's power generation surface, and is fixed using locking pieces and fasteners to ensure secure attachment.
This configuration reduces shadowing, thereby suppressing deterioration in power generation performance and ensuring efficient construction by allowing pre-cutting of roofing materials before installation, thus enhancing construction efficiency and preventing moisture infiltration.

Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a roofing cover that is attached to a roofing material that is arranged together with a solar cell module, and to a method of installing a roofing material-type solar cell module using the same. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, there exists a roofing material type solar cell module that is placed on a sheathing board together with a roofing material on the roof of a building (Patent Document 1). A roofing material such as a roof tile is placed around the roofing material type solar cell module.
[0003] When such a roofing-type solar cell module is placed on a sheathing board, the roofing material may be cut due to a dimensional relationship with the solar cell module that makes it impossible to place the roofing material in its original size. In this case, to protect the cut surface, a sheet metal cover may be attached to the roofing material placed adjacent to the solar cell module. The cover described in Patent Document 1 has a vertical surface facing the solar cell module. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2019-78097 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] However, with this type of cover shape, if the roofing material is thicker than the solar cell module, depending on the direction of sunlight, the cover may cast a shadow on the power generation surface of the solar cell module, which could result in a decrease in power generation performance.
[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide a roofing material cover that suppresses a decrease in the power generation performance of a roofing material-type solar cell module, and a method for installing a roofing material-type solar cell module. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] The roofing material cover of the present invention is a roofing material cover that is attached to a roofing material that is placed adjacent to a solar cell module when a roofing material-type solar cell module is placed on the roof of a building together with the roofing material, and is equipped with a cover upper surface that faces upward when attached to the roofing material, a cover side surface that faces the side surface of the solar cell module in a direction that intersects with the direction toward the eaves and ridge, and a lateral chamfer located between the cover upper surface and the cover side surface.
[0008] With this configuration, the height between the top surface of the cover and the side surface of the cover from the sheathing board can be reduced by the amount of the side chamfer, making it less likely that the shadow of the roofing material cover will fall on the power generation surface of the solar cell module. Because the shadow of the roofing material cover can be reduced, it is possible to suppress a decrease in the power generation performance of the roofing material-type solar cell module.
[0009] In addition, the roofing material cover is provided on the upper surface of the cover, and when multiple roofing material covers are used, it is equipped with a locking piece that secures the other roofing material cover by clamping the end of the other roofing material cover, and the locking piece may be detachable from the main body of the roofing material cover.
[0010] With this configuration, multiple roofing material covers can be secured using the fastening pieces. For example, since fastening pieces may not be used for roofing material covers located at the extreme ridge side, removing unnecessary fastening pieces can eliminate the impact of unnecessary parts on the appearance and on corrosion and dirt that may occur over time.
[0011] In addition, in the roof material cover, the edge of the portion of the engaging piece into which the end of the other roof material cover is introduced may be raised upward in the attached state.
[0012] With this configuration, it is easy to introduce the end of another roof material cover between the main body of the roof material cover and the locking piece.
[0013] The roof material cover may also be provided with a sheathing board fixing portion that is located at the ridge edge of the main body of the roof material cover in the attached state and is fixed to the sheathing board of the roof via a fastener.
[0014] According to this configuration, the roof material cover can be fixed to the sheathing board using fasteners at the sheathing board fixing portion, so that it can be securely fixed to the roof.
[0015] In addition, in the roof material cover, the ridge side edge portion in the attached state may be positioned higher than the eaves side portion.
[0016] With this configuration, the ridge side edge is raised, which can prevent moisture from penetrating into the sheathing board through the ridge side edge.
[0017] The installation method for a roofing material-type solar cell module of the present invention includes a roofing material cutting process in which the roofing material is cut to dimensions corresponding to the intended placement location before being transported to the site, and a cover attachment process in which the roofing material cover is attached to the cut roofing material at the site.
[0018] According to this configuration, the roofing material can be cut in advance before being transported to the site, which improves the efficiency of construction work on site and prevents the problem of dust on site. [Effects of the Invention]
[0019] As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a roofing material cover that suppresses a decrease in the power generation performance of a roofing material type solar cell module, and a method for installing a roofing material type solar cell module. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0021] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 9. Note that the directions expressed in the following description are those in terms of the direction in which the device is disposed on the roof R of a building.
[0022] As shown in FIG. 9 , when a roofing material-type solar cell module 3 is arranged together with the roofing material 2 on the roof R of a building, the roofing material cover 1 is attached to the roofing material 2 that is arranged adjacent to the solar cell module 3. When multiple solar cell modules 3 are arranged, the roofing material cover 1 is attached to the roofing material 2 that is arranged adjacent to the assembly of multiple solar cell modules 3. In this specification, the term "roofing material-type" does not refer to an arrangement in which the module is arranged on the roofing material (so as to cover the roofing material), but rather refers to an arrangement in which the module is arranged directly on the sheathing boards 4 (including with a waterproof sheet or the like interposed). Furthermore, the roofing material-type solar module 3 refers to all solar cell modules that can be mixed with the roofing material 2.
[0023] In this embodiment, the roof material cover 1 is attached by fitting it onto the roof material 2 so as to cover the area adjacent to the solar cell module 3. If the roof R is a gable roof, the roof material cover 1 is attached to the eaves side of the roof material 2. The roof R is a sloped roof, extending from the eaves (bottom) side to the ridge (top) side.
[0024] The roofing material 2 is, for example, a roof tile. The solar cell module 3 is plate-shaped and is arranged, for example, with the power-generating surface facing the sun. As shown in Fig. 9, the solar cell module 3 has a different shape from the roofing material 2, and is rectangular when viewed directly facing the roof.
[0025] As shown in Figures 1 to 7, the roofing material cover 1 has a cover upper surface 10 that faces upward when attached to the roofing material 2, a cover side surface 11 that faces the side surface of the solar cell module 3 in a direction that intersects with the direction toward the eaves and ridge, and a side chamfered portion 12 located between the cover upper surface 10 and the cover side surface 11. The direction toward the eaves and ridge is the so-called beam direction. The direction that intersects (is perpendicular to) the direction toward the eaves and ridge is the so-called girder direction.
[0026] In this roofing material cover 1, compared to a configuration without side chamfers 12, the provision of side chamfers 12 makes it possible to eliminate, for example, orthogonal corners between the cover top surface 10 and the cover side surfaces 11. This elimination of the corners allows the height between the cover top surface 10 and the cover side surfaces 11 from the sheathing board 4 to be lowered, making it less likely that the roofing material cover 1 will cast a shadow on the power generating surface (surface) 30 of the solar cell module 3 in the longitudinal direction. For example, if the solar cell module 3 is installed facing south, it is less likely that the roofing material cover 1 will cast a shadow on the power generating surface (surface) 30 during times when the sun is setting. This makes it possible to prevent a decrease in the power generation performance of the roofing material-type solar cell module 3.
[0027] In this embodiment, the side surface of the roofing material 2 adjacent to the solar cell module 3 in the girder direction is a cut surface that is created by cutting the roofing material 2 and exposes the material. Therefore, the roofing material cover 1 covers the cut surface of the roofing material 2. This makes it possible to prevent the appearance of the roof R to which the roofing material 2 and solar cell module 3 are attached from being marred, even if the cut surface of the roofing material 2 is not painted.
[0028] The roofing material cover 1 comprises a main body 5 having a cover upper surface 10, cover side surfaces 11, and side chamfered portions 12, and a locking piece 6 provided on the main body 5 (see FIG. 1).
[0029] The main body 5 is made of, for example, sheet metal, and in this embodiment, is formed by bending a sheet metal such as a steel plate. The outer surface of the main body 5 is painted or plated as necessary. The main body 5 may also be made of other materials such as a resin molded product.
[0030] Furthermore, in addition to the cover top surface 10, cover side surfaces 11, and side chamfers 12, the main body 5 also has an eave-side surface 13 facing the eaves, and an eave-side chamfer 14 located between the cover top surface 10 and the eave-side surface 13. The provision of the eave-side chamfer 14 reduces the height between the cover top surface 10 and the cover side surface 11 from the sheathing board 4, making it less likely that the roofing material cover 1 will cast a shadow on the power generation surface (surface) 30 of the solar cell module 3 in the beam direction. This prevents a decrease in the power generation performance of the roofing material-type solar cell module 3. In this way, by providing chamfers in two locations (the side chamfers 12 and the eave-side chamfer 14), the unit can accommodate a wider range of solar radiation directions (both the girder direction and the beam direction).
[0031] Furthermore, the main body 5 has an extension 15 that extends from the edge of the eaves-side surface 13 on the sheathing board 4 side toward the ridge side along the sheathing board 4 (see Figure 2). The main body 5 also has a ridge-side edge 16 located at the end on the ridge side.
[0032] The cover upper surface 10 is a surface that is approximately parallel to the sheathing boards 4 when the roof material cover 1 is installed (see Figure 1). The cover side surface 11 is a surface that is approximately perpendicular to the sheathing boards 4 when the roof material cover 1 is installed. The eaves side surface 13 is a surface that is approximately perpendicular to the sheathing boards 4 when the roof material cover 1 is installed. The extension portion 15 is a surface that is approximately parallel to the sheathing boards 4 (see Figure 3).
[0033] The side chamfer 12 is a portion having a flat surface that extends obliquely downward from one edge 100 that extends diagonally in the longitudinal direction of the cover upper surface 10 when facing the cover upper surface 10 (see FIG. 1). For example, the side chamfer 12 has a shape in which the dimension in the longitudinal direction increases toward the eaves side. In other words, the side chamfer 12 faces obliquely with respect to the normal direction and the longitudinal direction of the cover upper surface 10. In this embodiment, the eaves-side end of the side chamfer 12 is continuous with the eaves side chamfer 14. Note that although the side chamfer 12 in this embodiment is composed of a flat surface, it may also be composed of a curved surface or a combination of two or more flat surfaces.
[0034] The eaves chamfered portion 14 is a portion having a flat surface that extends obliquely downward from the eaves side edge 101 of the cover upper surface 10. The eaves chamfered portion 14 has a shape with approximately the same width dimension in the longitudinal direction. Note that although the eaves chamfered portion 14 in this embodiment is composed of a flat surface, it may also be composed of a curved surface or a combination of two or more flat surfaces.
[0035] When attached to the roofing material 2, the ridge side edge 16 is located, for example, higher than the portion closer to the eaves than the ridge side edge 16 (for example, the cover upper surface 10) (see Figures 5, 6, and 8). With this configuration, the ridge side edge 16 is raised higher than the cover upper surface 10, which prevents moisture from penetrating into the sheathing boards 4 through the ridge side edge 16 during rainfall, etc. Furthermore, because the ridge side edge 16 is raised, it is possible to prevent wind from blowing into the undersides (the surfaces facing the sheathing boards) of other roofing material covers 1 and roofing materials 2 located on the ridge side (which can cause other roofing material covers 1 and roofing materials 2 to fall off the roof R due to typhoons or gusts of wind).
[0036] In this embodiment, the roofing material cover 1 is provided with a sheathing board fixing portion 7 that is located at the ridge edge 16 of the main body 5 of the roofing material cover 1 when attached to the roof R and is fixed to the sheathing boards 4 of the roof R via fasteners (for example, wood screws or bolts) (see FIG. 1). With this configuration, the roofing material cover 1 can be fixed to the sheathing boards 4 at the sheathing board fixing portion 7 using fasteners, allowing for secure fixation to the roof R.
[0037] The sheathing board fixing portion 7 is, for example, a protruding piece 7 that protrudes from the main body 5 (ridge-side edge portion 16) toward the ridge. The protruding piece 7 is provided with a through-hole 70. The protruding piece 7 is fixed to the sheathing board 4 with a fastener, and is fixed in a state of surface contact with the sheathing board 4.
[0038] The sheathing board fixing portion 7 may have a different configuration from the protruding piece 7 of this embodiment. For example, the sheathing board fixing portion 7 may not protrude from the main body 5, but may have a through hole 70 provided in a part of the ridge side edge 16 of the roof material cover 1. Furthermore, the sheathing board fixing portion 7 may have a through hole 70 provided in a part of the main body 5 of the roof material cover 1 (a part other than the ridge side edge 16).
[0039] In this embodiment, multiple roofing material covers 1 are used (see FIG. 9). Specifically, the roofing material cover 1 includes a roofing material cover 1a and another roofing material cover 1b that is arranged on the ridge side of this roofing material cover 1a. Furthermore, the roofing material cover 1a is provided, for example, on the cover top surface 10, with a locking piece 6 that secures the other roofing material cover 1b by clamping the end of the other roofing material cover 1b (specifically, the end on the eaves side, in this embodiment, the extension 15) (see FIG. 7).
[0040] The locking pieces 6 are detachable from the main body 5 of the roofing material cover 1. In this configuration, multiple roofing material covers 1 can be secured using the locking pieces 6. Specifically, another roofing material cover 1b is secured to the roofing material cover 1a using the locking pieces 6. For example, a roofing material cover 1 placed at the extreme ridge side may not use the locking pieces 6. Therefore, by removing unnecessary locking pieces 6, it is possible to eliminate the impact of unnecessary components on appearance (the impact on appearance caused by unnecessary locking pieces 6 protruding from the roofing material cover 1) and the impact of corrosion and staining over time (for example, staining caused by rust-colored water dripping from the locking pieces 6). Furthermore, since the eaves side of the other roofing material cover 1b is secured to the ridge side of the roofing material cover 1a using the locking pieces 6, wind resistance can be ensured.
[0041] In this embodiment, the other roofing material cover 1b is fixed to the roofing material cover 1a by fitting the locking piece 6 into the other roofing material cover 1b. More specifically, the extension portion 15 (flat portion) of the other roofing material cover 1b is inserted between the main body 5 and the locking piece 6 of the roofing material cover 1a, thereby achieving the fixation.
[0042] The locking piece 6 is, for example, a plate-shaped member, and has a through hole 60 formed therein. The through hole 60 is, for example, a "daruma hole" as shown in the figure. Because the through hole 60 is a daruma hole, when the locking piece 6 is fastened with a screw through the through hole 60, the locking piece 6 can be removed from the main body 5 of the roof material cover 1 simply by shifting the locking piece 6 without loosening the screw. Therefore, the locking piece 6 can also be removed after another roof material cover 1b has been placed on top of the roof material cover 1a. Note that when the locking piece 6 is removed, the screw may be removed together with the locking piece 6, or may be left in the main body 5. Furthermore, the locking piece 6 can be removed from the main body 5 even after the roof material cover 1 has been attached to the sheathing board 4.
[0043] The locking pieces 6 can be formed so as to be visually distinguishable from the main body 5, for example, by being uncolored or by being a different color from the main body 5, and the position of the locking pieces 6 on the main body 5 can be easily identified. This allows the worker to intuitively align the other roof material covers 1b with the locking pieces 6, improving workability.
[0044] Furthermore, because the locking pieces 6 are pre-attached to the main body 5 of the roofing material cover 1, it is possible to prevent a so-called "careless mistake" at the installation site of the roofing material cover 1 etc. on the sheathing boards 4 from forgetting to attach the locking pieces 6 and having to redo the installation. The removed locking pieces 6 can also be used for other purposes, such as as fixing brackets (snap clips) for sheet metal members around the roof R that are different from the roofing material cover 1. This means that there is no need to discard the locking pieces 6 that are no longer needed for the roofing material cover 1, which is economical.
[0045] The edge 61 of the locking piece 6, which is the portion that introduces the end (extension 15) of the other roof material cover 1b below the locking piece 6, is raised upward when attached to the roof material 2. Specifically, the edge 61 of the locking piece 6 is raised diagonally upward in this attached state (see Figure 8). With this configuration, a space S can be provided between the edge 61 and the main body 5, making it easy to introduce the end (specifically, the eaves-side end, in this embodiment, the extension 15) of the other roof material cover 1b between the main body 5 of the roof material cover 1 and the locking piece 6. Furthermore, the raised shape of the edge 61 prevents the eaves-side end of the other roof material cover 1b from getting stuck between the locking piece 6 and the roof material cover 1a, and prevents it from getting stuck between the roof material 2 and the upper surface of the locking piece 6.
[0046] Below, we will explain a method for installing a roofing material-type solar cell module 3, which includes fixing the roofing material cover 1 to the sheathing boards 4. The installation method for the solar cell module 3 includes, for example, a roofing material cutting step in which the roofing material 2 is cut to dimensions corresponding to the intended installation location before being delivered to the site, and a cover attachment step in which the roofing material cover 1 is attached to the cut roofing material 2 at the site. With this installation method, the roofing material 2 can be cut in advance (pre-cut) before being delivered to the site, which improves installation efficiency at the site and eliminates the problem of dust at the site. Furthermore, this installation method includes an arrangement step in which the roofing material 2 with the roofing material cover 1 attached and the solar cell module 3 are placed on the sheathing boards 4.
[0047] The roofing material cutting process is a process of cutting the roofing material 2 adjacent to the solar cell module 3, for example, when the dimension in the girder direction of the solar cell module 3 is not a multiple of the dimension in the same direction of the roofing material 2. For example, if the dimension in the girder direction of the solar cell module 3 is 546 mm, the dimension in the same direction of the roofing material 2 is set to 273 mm. Furthermore, in the cover attachment process, the overlap amount of the roofing material cover 1 over the cut surface of the roofing material 2 (the overlap amount in the girder direction) can be adjusted by sliding the roofing material cover 1 relative to the roofing material 2, thereby making it possible to accommodate the size of the gap between the roofing material 2 and the solar cell module 3.
[0048] The roofing material cover of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, the configuration of one embodiment can be added to the configuration of another embodiment, or part of the configuration of one embodiment can be replaced with the configuration of another embodiment. Furthermore, part of the configuration of one embodiment can be deleted.
[0049] The roofing material cover 1 of the above embodiment is not limited to the shape shown in Figures 1 to 9, but may have other shapes. For example, although not mentioned in the above description, it may have a shape that is symmetrical in the longitudinal direction of the solar cell module 3 because it is used on the opposite side in the longitudinal direction.
[0050] Furthermore, although the roofing material cover 1 in the above embodiment is provided with the sheathing board fixing portion 7 that is fixed to the sheathing board 4 of the roof R via a fastening portion, this does not have to be provided. In this case, the roofing material cover 1 may be fixed to the sheathing board 4 with an adhesive.
[0051] In the above embodiment, the ridge side edge 16 of the roof material cover 1 is located above the main body 5 when installed, but in some cases it may be located below or at the same height.
[0052] Furthermore, in the roofing material cover 1 of the above embodiment, the locking piece 6 was detachable from the main body 5 of the roofing material cover 1, but it may also be fixed to the main body 5 in an undetachable manner. In this case, the locking piece 6 may be integrated with the main body 5. For example, a claw portion formed by cutting out a part of the main body 5 may be used as the locking piece 6.
