LOAD SUPPORT BAR

Abstract

This disclosure relates to a load-bearing support bar with a coupling mechanism to facilitate extending and shortening the length of the device. The load-bearing support bar may comprise a first elongated member and a second elongated member that can be moved relative to each other, and a handle connected to one of the elongated members that can be moved between an uncoupled position and a coupled position. Moving the handle to the coupled position restricts the movement of the first and second elongated members to a fixed position relative to each other. The handle is configured with a locking mechanism with at least one first lock-release mechanism between the handle and the second elongated member. In some examples, a second lock-release mechanism is positioned on an upper surface of the handle.
