Abstract

A system includes: a housing defining an interior configured to receive an electrically insulating fluid; a transformer including an electrically conductive coil assembly inside; a switching assembly inside, the switching assembly including: an input side; an output side; and a switching device that electrically connects the input side and the output side in a closed state and electrically isolates the input side and the output side in an open state; a connecting assembly passing through the housing; a flexible electrical connection electrically connecting the connecting assembly and the input side of the switching assembly; an electrically conductive rigid bus electrically connected to the output side of the switching assembly; and electrically conductive cable electrically connected to the electrically conductive rigid bus and to the transformer.
