Phosphatidylserine and DHA composite, and application thereof in functional preparation

Abstract

Disclosed in the present invention is a phosphatidylserine and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) composite, and its application thereof in a functional preparation, belonging to the field of health-care food. By combining two substances in a specific ratio and further applying them to edible functional preparations, brain entry efficiency of unsaturated fatty acids including DHA is improved. The ratio verifies a synergistic interaction mechanism of two active ingredients. Phosphatidylserine promotes enrichment of fatty acids such as the DHA in a brain by enhancing permeability of a blood-brain barrier, promotes neurogenesis, and enhances learning and memory abilities. Moreover, combination of the phosphatidylserine (PS) and the DHA can significantly improve an expression level of neurotrophic factors and protect and repaire a nervous system. (Figl)
