Abstract
A process for removing heavy métal ions from a phosphoric acid containing stream, may include adding a diluted solution of a dialkyldithiophosphate compound having an alkyl chain length ranging from 8 to 12 carbon atoms to the phosphoric acid containing stream to form heavy métal ion complexes; and separatingthe heavy metal ion complexes from the phosphoric acid containing stream.
