Three-part folding packaging cutout with difficult access

Abstract

A three-part, restricted-access folding package blank comprises a container blank (A), a lid blank, and a container reinforcement insert blank. The container blank (A) comprises a rectangular bottom panel (1), adjacent rectangular side wall panels (2, 2', 3, 3'), and between pairs of side wall panels, reinforcing tab panels (23, 23, 23', 23'). It further comprises a side wall (3, 3') reinforcing panel (4, 4'), with reinforcing tabs and a rectangular stabilizing flap (5), and locking tongue panels (21, 2'1) in the central portion of the face of the longer side wall panel (2, 2'). The cover blank includes a rectangular bottom panel (7), adjacent rectangular rim panels (8, 9), and reinforcement tab panels between each pair of rim panels (8, 9). It also includes rim reinforcement panels adjacent to the face of each rim panel (8, 9) and stabilizing tab panels adjacent to the face of the rim reinforcement panels.The longer edge reinforcement panels have trapezoidal holes at the bending line between the edge reinforcement panel and the stabilizing flap panel, in which hole the corresponding lock tongue panel (21, 2'1) of the container (A) in the closed package is locked, and the edge panel (8) in the area corresponding to the hole has a wavy notch, which acts as an actuator, releasing the lock tongue panel (21, 2'1) when the lid edge (8) is pressed above the wavy notch.
