Abstract
The present invention relates to a new product obtained from the grinding of eggshells, considered as waste, for use as a novel adsorbent for removing dyes in solution from wastewater from various industries. The size of the ground eggshell particles should be approximately 0.2 mm. The standard dye considered in this study is Basic Blue Setacryl Blue W-FGRL. The results showed remarkable adsorption efficiencies of the ground eggshells with respect to the basic blue dye. The operating parameters of the adsorption are also presented and discussed.
