Abstract

The invention relates to user devices and estimating devices, and methods of operating them. The invention describes communication techniques. In one respect, the positioning estimator (e.g., gNB, LMF, position server, UE, etc.) determines the configuration of the paired downlink positioning reference signal (DL-PRS) resource, which is paired for the first and second DL-PRS, time-compensated relative to the first DL-PRS by a time compensation interval; the first and second DL-PRS are assigned to the same transmission source. The entity estimates the location of the coupled DL-PRS resource configuration transmitted to the UE, and performs measurements based on the coupled DL-PRS resource configuration.
