Floating structures for offshore wind turbines and methods of installing them

Abstract

The invention relates to a supporting structure for offshore basket turbines, comprising a buoy intended to be partially submerged and on which a basket turbine mast is designed to mount and transfer weights attached to the buoy and intended to be submerged under the buoy. The buoy comprises a main structure, either circular or polygonal with at least five sides; a central tubular structure with an adjustable diameter to accommodate the wind turbine mast and including a movable section to adjust the buoy's water level; firstly, horizontal struts distributed around the vertical axis and connecting the main structure to the central structure; and secondly, diagonal bracing distributed around the main axis and connecting the main structure to the central structure at angles ranging from 15° to 60° with the horizontal bracing.
