[0001] A Rescue Device

[0002] Technical field

[0003] The technical solution refers to a rescue device, in particular a rescue bag, a rescue collar or a rescue ring far rescuing people who nave got into distress on water surfaces. especially at sea., but also possibly people in inaccessible areas, for example in the snow on the mountains, and especially in poor visibility, especially in the dark.

[0004] Background art

[0005] Currently, the effort of the rescue units is to bring people who have got into difficulties. especially at sea, into direct contact with the rescuers, and for this 3 whole range of support aids are used. One such aid is a rescue bag with a rope, and the rescuer's endeavor is to get this rescue bag, which is equipped with a rope, one end of which is properly lashed to a rescue vessel or helicopter, to the proximity of the person who is in distress in an .1naccessib1e place, to make it possible to get said person in distress aboard the rescue vessel by rope. The procedure i s simil a r in the ca se of a rescue col lar or a rescue ring , which are tied to the rescue vessel and allow a person in dist ress to grab hold of these devices via a rope , or to wrap the device around the chest of a person in distress , who is then pul led on board of the rescue vessel or helicopter .

[0006] Thi s i s not an easy task, especial ly in rough seas where , despite the person in di stress being relatively close to the rescue vessel , due to the often high waves it is possible to lose eye contact with such a person , which is not easy to restore , making it dif ficult to deliver them a rescue bag or other means of rescue . It should be taken into account that the rescue craft is not capable of turning and similar maneuvers with a small radius . But at the same time , it is not advi sable for a rescue boat to approach a person who is in dist ress too close to avoid said person being inj ured by the rescue boat in rough seas s o the person in distress may lose eye contact with the rescue device and may exper ience great di ff iculties finding it again .

[0007] Dif ficulties are compounded in poor visibility and especially in the dark, when it .1 s extremely dif ficult for a person in dist ress to find a rescue bag with a rope or other rescue device offered by the rescue vessel , even if the rescue device is located relatively close to the person .

Detailed description of the invention technical solution refers to a rescue device, especially escuing people at sea or other bodies of water, but it can also be used for rescuing people who got into distress in other dangerous areas, for example in the mountains, especially in the case of limited visibility or within otherwise difficult conditions.

[0024] The simplest means of rescuing people is to offer a person in distress in the water or in a dangerous area in the mountains, a rescue rope or a rescue ring or a rescue collar to get that person to a safe place, for example from the water to a boat or a rescue helicopter,

[0025] Example 1

[0026] Example 1 according to the present technical solution is based on a rescue device, which is a rescue bag 10, as can be seen

[0027] The rescue device consists of a rescue bag IQ, which is made of textile, possibly equipped with an impermeable layer, in which the rescue rope 2 is stored, and which is equipped with a power source 3, which powers at least one light guide 5 arranged on the outer surface 4 of the rescue ban 10.

[0028] The light guide 5 is equipped with a translucent or transparent cover 6, as shown schematically in Fig. 8, which is made in the shape of a sleeve and minimally limits the light transmission from the light guide 5. This transparent cover 0 allows the output light of the light guide to be colored in a different color according to the chosen color of the transparent cover 6. The transparent cover 6 is equipped with an attachment strip 2 / which enables continuous attachment of the light guide 5 with the transparent cover 6 to the outer surface 4 of the rescue bag 10. The attachment can be made by sewing, through stitches 14, into the seam of the body 1 of the rescue device, but also by other means, for example with velcro

[0029] The body q the rescue bag 10 is preferably formed in a folded form in the shape of two truncated cones, which adjoin each other with a larger base. The upper part of the body 1 of the rescue device is closed with a clamp 19 or another means, for example a strap with rivet knobs, after being filled with the rescue rope 2. In the open form, as shown in Fig. 4, the upper part of the rescue bag body 2 is further expanded, which facilitates folding of the rescue rope 2 in the rescue bag 10, even if the rescue operation has to be repeated, and also facilitates emptying of the rescue rope 2 from;the body 1 of the rescue device in the case of its actual use for the given purpose.

[0030] The body 1 of the rescue bag 10 is provided with a handle 8 at one end in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the rescue bag 10, by using which a person in distress can easily grab hold the rescue system. At the other end in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the rescue bag 10, there is a cap 13, which, when opened by the crew of the rescue vessel, makes it possible to attach the rescue rope 2 to the rescue vessel through the eyelet 12 and throw the rescue bag 10 as close as possible to the person in distress.

[0031] The body 1 of the rescue bag IQ is provided inside with a power source 3 for the light guide 5_, wherein at the place of attachment of the power source 3 openings 9 are made m the nooy 1 or m e rescue oag 10, whicn arlow water to access the liquid sensor 15 of the power source 3 in order to initiate the power source 3 to start emitting light rays. In addition to the liquid sensor 15, the power source 3 is also equipped with an impact sensor 16, which ensures the initiation of the power source 3 upon impact with the water surface or snow.

[0032] The power source 3 of the rescue device is stored in the foam case 17, for the production of which foam with closed pores is used. The foam case 17 protects the power source 3 from impacts and ensures the unsinkability of the rescue bag 10.

[0033] In order to improve the orientation of not only the person in distress in adverse conditions, it is advantageous to use not just the light guide 5 placed on the body 1 of the rescn bag 19, but to use also another light guide 18 to be arrange on part of the length of the rescue rope 2.

[0034] In the event that the crew of the vessel finds that a person near the vessel is in distress, they open the cap 13 of the rescue bag 10, fasten the eyelet 12 at the end of tne rescue rope 2 to the vessel and throw the rescue bag 10 with the rescue rope 2 to the water near the person in distress. Upon impact on the water surface, the impact sensor 16 switches on the electric circuit of the light guide 5, which starts to light or flash to make it easier for a person in distress to find the rescue bag. At the same time, water reaches the liquid sensor 15 of the power source 3 of the light guide 5 through the openings 9 and through the hole around the handle _8, so that the start of the activity of the light guide 5 is doubly insured and will enable a person in distress to more easily find the handle 8_ for self-rescue even under adverse light conditions. The liouid sensor 15 must be able to react to both fresh and salt sea water.

[0035] Example 2 according to the present technical solution is based device, which is 11, or a rescue in 5 and Fig. 6.

[0036] The rescue device consists of a rescue collar 11, the body 1 of which is made of a textile tube, which is possibly equipped with an impermeable layer, and is filled with closed-pore foam, or an inflatable tube, or other means that ensures that the rescue collar 11 remains permanently afloat. The body or m e rescue cotrar ir is provnoec witn a power source located inside, which powers at least one light guide arranged on the outer surface 4 of the rescue collar 11.

[0037] The light guide 5 is equipped with a translucent or transparent cover 6, which is made in the shape of a sleeve and minimally limits the light transmission from the light guide 5. This transparent cover y allows the output light to be colored in a different color. The transparent cover 6 is equipped with an attachment strip which enables continuous attachment of the light guide 5 with the transparent cover 6 to the outer surface 4 of the rescue collar 11. The attachment can be made by sewing the attachment strip ]_ into the seams of the body !_ of the rescue device, as indicated in Fig. 8, or possibly by means of velcro or rivet knobs, or by other

[0038] In order to improve the orientation of not only the:person in distress in adverse conditions, it is advantageous to use not just the light guide 5 placed on the body 1 of the rescue bag 10, but to use also another light guide 18 to be arranged on part of the length of the rescue rope 2,

[0039] The body 1 of the rescue collar 11 is advantageously formed in the shape of a ring, or a shape approaching a ring, which facilitates, in the case of larger dimensions of this rescue device, the body 1 to be strung over the head of a person in distress so that the rescue collar 11 reaches below the rescued person’s arm, so that the:person can then be easily pulled to the rescue vessel. The body 1 of the rescue collar IjL is equipped with a handle 8 at one end in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the rescue bag 10, by using which a person in distress can easily grab hold of the rescue system, if he is not able to put the rescue collar 11 over his head and under his arms.

[0040] The body 1 of the rescue collar 11 is provided with a power source 3 located inside for the light guide 5, wherein at the point of attachment of the power source 3 openings 3 are made in the body 1 of the rescue collar 11, which allow water access to the power source 3 and the initiation of the liquid sensor 15 of the power source 3 in order to start emitting light rays, if the impact sensor 16 had not already started the activity of the light guide 5. The liquid sensor 15 must be able to react to both fresh and salty sea water. It is advantageous for the light guide 5 to be placed not only on the body 1 of the rescue bag 10 but also on part of the length of the rescue rope 2.
