Some televisions have allowed picture in picture for watching programs while navigating menus and split screen functionality that allows users to watch more than one television program at a time. However, this functionality has generally been limited to displaying programs and menus on the same screen at a reduced size. Televisions have also been arranged in arrays to allow single television sets to be physically placed in an array to each display part of a larger picture that is captured in the entire array.

CLAIMSWhat is claimed is:
1. A television system, comprising: a first display configured to display streaming video content; a second display configured to display secondary content related to the video content, wherein the second display is physically distinct from the first display; and one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions that cause the one or more processors to: perform an automatic content recognition (ACR) analysis on the video content displayed on the first display; based on the ACR analysis, identify a first content item included in the video content displayed on the first display; while continuing to display the video content including the first content item on the first display in a continuous streaming mode, display first secondary content related to the first content item on the second display.
2. The television system of claim 1, wherein the secondary content is displayed in an interactive live action card on the second display and includes content corresponding to the first content item.

The television system of claim 1, wherein the instructions further cause the one or more processors to: based on a second ACR analysis, identify a second content item included in the video content displayed on the first display after identifying the first content item; and while continuing to display the video content including the second content item on the first display in the continuous streamlining mode, replace the first secondary content related to the first content item with second secondary content related to the second content item on the second display.
4. The television system of claim 1, wherein the displaying of the first secondary content is subject to a timing threshold during which the ACR analysis performs successful identifications of the first content item.
5. The television system of claim 4, wherein the displaying of the first secondary content is further subject to a consistency threshold during which the ACR analysis performs consistent identifications of the first content item until the timing threshold is reached.
6. The television system of claim 1, wherein the instructions further cause the one or more processors to: based on a second ACR analysis, determine a break in display of the video content on the first display; and cease displaying the first secondary content on the secondary display during the break in display of the video content on the first display.
7. The television system of claim 6, wherein the instructions further cause the one or more processors to: based on a third ACR analysis, determine that the break in display of the video content on the first display is over; determine that the break did not reach a break time threshold; and based on the determination that the break did not reach the break time threshold, display second secondary content on the second display related to a second content item displayed on the first display without waiting for a timing threshold.
8. The television system of claim 1, wherein the video content is a movie or television show, and the content item is a character in a scene of the movie or television show currently being displayed on the first display.
9. The television system of claim 8, wherein the first secondary content is a description of the character in the scene of the movie or television show currently being displayed on the first display.
10. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured for execution by one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions that cause the one or more processors to perform the functions of any of claims 1-9.
