[0009] An object of the present invention is to provide a home appliance, particularly a cooking device, having a timer unit which is easy to assemble / disassemble and has a simplified structure.
[0010] In order to achieve the above objective, the present invention is a home appliance, particularly a cooking device, comprising a body provided to surround a receiving cavity into which at least one object can be placed, a control panel provided on a side where a front opening is located, enabling external access to the receiving cavity, and having at least one control element on a front face thereof for controlling a process in the receiving cavity, and wherein said control panel comprises a timer unit having a timer configured for performing a time setting related to the process in the receiving cavity. The invention is wherein the timer unit comprises a support frame structure onto which the timer is removably attached and which is configured to be connected to a rear face of the control panel opposite the front face, and a cover frame having a front cover positioned between a timer front face of the timer facing the control panel and the rear face, and provided corresponding to a control panel opening of the control panel.

In the following detailed description, the timer unit (7) according to the subject matter invention is described as applied to a cooking device, for example, an oven, solely for exemplification purposes. However, said embodiment can also be applied to any home appliance (1 ) such as a washing machine or dishwasher.
[0052] Referring to Figure 1 , the home appliance (1 ) has a body (2) provided surrounding a receiving cavity (4) into which at least one object can be placed. On the body (2), there is a front opening

A time setting can be performed by means of an adjustment shaft (16) of said timer unit (7) and a control knob (38) connected to the adjustment shaft (16). [0056] Referring to Figure 3, there is a control panel opening (9) on the control panel (5). The timer unit (7) is connected to the control panel (5) corresponding to the control panel opening (9). The timer unit (7) in its most general form comprises a timer (13) configured such that a time setting can be made from the control panel (5), a support frame structure (18) to which the timer (13) is detachably attached, and a cover frame (12) having a front cover (11 ). On a timer front face (17) of the timer (13) facing the control panel (5), there is an indicator part (15). The indicator part (15) is provided corresponding to the control panel opening (9). The timer (13) comprises a timer housing (14) provided surrounding the indicator part (15). In more detail, the timer housing (14) consists of a timer front face (17) on which the indicator part (15) is formed, and a bottom wall, a top wall, and opposing side walls surrounding its four sides. That is, the timer housing (14) is configured defining an enclosure for the indicator part (15). The timer housing (14) has an essentially rectangular or square periphery. The timer (13) also has the adjustment shaft (16) functionally associated with the indicator part (15) and provided rotatably for performing a specific time setting. The adjustment shaft (16) can be a rod extension having an essentially cylindrical form. On the other hand, as seen in Figure 4, the timer (13) has an electrical connection part (24) for receiving or transmitting an electrical signal.

To attach the timer (13) to the support frame structure (18), the timer (13) is moved towards the support frame opening (19) in an assembly direction (ml ). As seen in Figure 5, there is at least one abutment wall (31 ) on the timer housing (14). Said abutment walls (31 ) can be created by bending the free ends of the walls of the timer housing (14). When the timer (13) is moved towards the support frame opening (19) in the assembly direction (ml ), the abutment walls (31 ) rest against a frame front face (41 ) of the support frame structure (18) facing the timer (13). As seen in Figure 6, the timer (13) also comprises fastening elements (32, 33) configured to rest against relevant abutment portions (35, 36) of the timer housing (14) on a face opposite the frame front face (41 ). Preferably, the timer housing (14) has at least one upper fastening element (32) on an upper part thereof, and at least one lower fastening element (33) on a lower part opposite the upper part. The timer housing (14) preferably has two upper fastening elements (32) and two lower fastening elements (33). Said fastening elements (32, 33) are movable fastening members provided capable of moving in the up-down direction. In more detail, there is a guiding slope (37) on each of the fastening elements (32, 33). When the timer (13) is moved towards the support frame opening (19) in the assembly direction (ml ), the guiding slope (37) of the upper fastening elements (32) contacts the periphery of the support frame opening (19), causing the upper fastening elements (32) to be pushed in a downward direction (a1 ). When the upper fastening elements (32) pass the support frame opening (19) and reach the rear part of the support frame structure (18), they move in an upward direction (a2) returning back to their original position level, and in this state, they rest against the upper abutment portion (36). Similarly, when the timer (13) is moved towards the support frame opening (19) in the assembly direction (ml ), the guiding slope (37) of the lower fastening elements (33) contacts the periphery of the support frame opening (19), causing the lower fastening elements (33) to be pushed in an upward direction (a2). When the lower fastening elements (33) pass the support frame opening (19) and reach the rear part of the support frame structure (18), they move in a downward direction (a1 ) returning back to their original position level, and in this state, they rest against the lower abutment portion (35). Thus, the timer (13) is attached to the support frame structure (18). When it is desired to detach the timer (13) from the support frame structure (18), the timer (13) needs to be pulled in a disassembly direction (m2). In this case, the upper fastening elements (32) and the lower fastening elements (33) behave as described in detail above, and thus the timer (13) is separated from the support frame structure (18).

Thus, the timer unit (7) is perfectly centered on the rear face (22) of the control panel (5), relative to the control panel (5). As seen in Figure 7, preferably the width of the support frame structure (18) is greater than the width of the recessed portion (23). Similarly, the connection holes (29) also correspond to the respective corresponding connection holes (43). By passing a connection element (34) (for example, a screw or bolt) through said respective connection hole (29) and respective corresponding connection hole (43), the support frame structure (18) is connected to the rear face (22) of the control panel (5). In this state, the cover frame (12) is positioned between a timer front face (17) of the timer (13) facing the control panel (5) and the rear face (22) of the control panel (5), and is compressed between the timer front face (17) and the rear face (22) with a sandwich effect without the use of any external connection elements. Thus, the cover frame (12) having the front cover (11 ) is connected to the control panel (5) in a simple, inexpensive, and secure manner without needing any additional connection elements. Claims
CLAIMS1. A home appliance (1 ), particularly a cooking device, comprising a body (2) provided to surround a receiving cavity (4) into which at least one object can be disposed, a control panel (5) provided on a side where a front opening (3) is located, enabling external access to the receiving cavity (4), and having at least one control element (10) on a front face (8) thereof for controlling a process in the receiving cavity (4), and wherein said control panel (5) comprises a timer unit (7) having a timer (13) configured for performing a time setting related to the process in the receiving cavity (4) characterized in that the timer unit (7) comprises; a support frame structure (18) onto which the timer (13) is removably attached and which is configured to be connected to a rear face (22) of the control panel (5) opposite the front face (8) and a cover frame (12) having a front cover (11 ) positioned between a timer front face (17) of the timer (13) facing the control panel (5) and the rear face (22), and provided corresponding to a control panel opening (9) of the control panel (5).
2. A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 1 , wherein a recessed portion (23) on the rear face (22) of the control panel (5), is shaped and dimensioned according to the cover frame (12), and into which the cover frame (12) rests.
3. A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 1 or 2, wherein an indicator part (15) is provided on the timer front face (17) corresponding to the control panel opening (9).

A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 3, wherein the cover frame (12) has a cover frame opening (42) shaped and dimensioned according to the control panel opening (9) and the indicator part (15), and which is covered by the front cover (11 ) when the front cover (11 ) is attached to the cover frame (12).
5. A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 3 or 4, wherein the timer (13) comprises a timer housing (14) provided surrounding the indicator part (15), and the support frame structure (18) has a support frame opening (19) provided corresponding to the timer housing (14).

A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 5, wherein the timer housing (14) has at least one abutment wall (31 ) configured to rest against a frame front face (41 ) of the support frame structure (18) facing the timer (13), in a state where the timer (13) is attached to the support frame structure (18).

A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 6, wherein the timer (13) comprises fastening elements (32, 33) configured to rest against relevant abutment portions (35, 36) of the timer housing (14) on a rear face opposite the frame front face (41 ), in a state where the timer(13) is attached to the timer (13) support frame structure (18).
8. A home appliance (1 ) according to any one of Claims 5 to 7, wherein the cover frame (12) has at least one support leg (26) shaped and dimensioned according to the timer housing(14).

A home appliance (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein, for connecting the support frame structure (18) to the control panel (5), the support frame structure (18) comprises at least one first connection part (20, 21 ), and the control panel (5) comprises at least one corresponding connection part (27, 28) provided corresponding to the respective first connection part (20, 21 ).
10. A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 9, wherein the connection parts (20, 21 ) are configured defining a receiving recess (44), and the corresponding connection parts (27, 28) are configured as raised portions shaped and dimensioned to fit at least partially into the respective receiving recess (44).

A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 9 or 10, wherein; each connection part (20, 21 ) and corresponding connection part (27, 28) has a respective connection hole (29, 43) through which a connection element (34) passes, for connecting the support frame structure (18) to the control panel (5).
12. A home appliance (1 ) according to any one of Claims 3 to 11 , wherein; the timer (13) has an adjustment shaft (16) associated with the indicator part (15) and provided rotatably for performing a time setting related to the process in the receiving cavity (4), and passing through corresponding shaft openings (25, 30) of the cover frame (12) and the control panel (5).
13. A home appliance (1 ) according to Claim 12, wherein; there is a control knob (38) attached to a free end (45) of the adjustment shaft (16).
14. A home appliance (1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein; the timer (13) is an analog timer.
