Abstract

A camera support is provided for a camera, the camera having an optical axis, a plan footprint and a center of gravity. The camera support includes a support body and a flange element. The support body is so structured as to enable fixedly attaching the camera to the camera support in a manner to thereby provide a fixed and predetermined spatial orientation between the camera optical axis and the camera support. The flange element is fixedly attached to the support body, the flange element including flange zones projecting outwardly with respect to the plan footprint, the flange zones enabling the camera support to be affixed to an external structure via fasteners at the flange zones. Also provided is a camera assembly including the camera support and a camera. Also provided is a camera system including a plurality of camera assemblies.
