It relates specifically, but is not limited to, sports socks, compression sleeves, technical stockings, independent textile bands, or any stretchable or modified textile designed to be worn during physical activities that heavily stress the calf muscles.
[0005] The invention falls within the field of functional textiles that allow for adjusting the pressure exerted on the calf, and relates more broadly to equipment designed to improve the comfort, support and mechanical management of this anatomical area during sporting activity.
[0006] It finds particular application in sports involving accelerations, changes of support, repeated contractions or intense muscular demands on the calf, such as football, rugby, basketball, handball, running, athletics, cycling or indoor sports.
[0007] 2. Claim of priority
[0008] This international application claims priority from French application FR2413377, filed on December 3, 2024. The content of that earlier application is incorporated herein by reference, in accordance with Rule 26bis.1 of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), for the disclosure elements actually contained in the said French application. Certain claims, technical features, and embodiments described in this international application constitute additional developments or variations that are not included in French application FR2413377 and therefore do not benefit from the aforementioned priority date. This international application thus constitutes an expansion of the initial disclosure, including both features benefiting from French priority and new features introduced in the international filing.

[0010] Modern sportswear, such as compression socks, sleeves, or stockings, typically applies uniform compression directly to the calf. This compression results from the structural elasticity of the fabric and cannot be adjusted.
[0011] This uniform compression has several technical limitations.
[0012] - it is not locally adjustable and cannot be reduced or increased on a specific portion of the calf;
[0013] - it does not take into account the varied morphologies of calves (thin, thick, asymmetrical, very muscular, short or long);

[0015] - it can cause muscle discomfort, skin markings, pain, excessive tension or discomfort;
[0016] - it does not allow any dynamic modulation during phases of effort, explosiveness, recovery or the onset of muscle fatigue (swelling, congestion).
[0017] In sports, particularly football, many players make small cuts in their socks around the calf to relieve compression. These cuts:

[0021] To the applicant's knowledge, no prior art document discloses a textile article that allows for controlled and targeted pressure release at the calf level, adaptation to different morphologies, controlled dynamic modulation possibly multi-zone during activity, as well as a durable, reproducible and industrializable solution.
[0022] 4. Technical problem
[0023] The invention aims to overcome the aforementioned limitations by providing a solution that simultaneously addresses:
[0024] - the excessive, uniform and non-adjustable compression exerted on the calf by classic sports textiles;
[0025] - the lack of adaptation to variations in shape, size and volume of the calf which occur in the same user depending on the phases of effort, this muscle area being subject to rapid fluctuations in volume and congestion;
[0026] - the failure to take into account morphological differences between users, as calves exhibit great inter-individual diversity (diameter, taper, muscle profile, asymmetries), whereas existing standardized sizes do not cover this structural variability;
[0027] - the impossibility of making a dynamic and localized adjustment of the compression specifically at the level of the calf, allowing either to lighten the textile constraint, or to increase the compression on a delimited area if desired;
[0028] - the absence of a solution combining comfort, mechanical stability, reliable textile support, protection of sensitive muscle areas and adaptation to variations in tension at the calf level, all without alteration of the textile as in artisanal cuts.

Summary of the Invention The invention relates to a sports textile article intended to cover the calf totally or partially and configured to allow controlled, localized, progressive, and reversible modulation of the compression exerted on the calf. The article comprises a main textile structure, generally stretchable, associated with at least one local decompression element, including an opening and / or a slightly compressive or non-compressive textile zone, as well as at least one mechanical modulation element, including a fold-down section and / or a mechanical tightening means.
[0030] Local decompression elements reduce or even eliminate the pressure exerted by conventional compression garments, while mechanical modulation elements allow for the voluntary, progressive, and reversible reintroduction, adjustment, or increase of compression. These distinct yet working components offer personalized modulation of pressure applied to the calf, adaptable to morphological variations, muscular stresses, and different phases of athletic activity.

[0052] The invention relates to a sports textile article intended to cover totally or partially the calf of a user, comprising:
[0053] 1. a main textile structure, generally stretchable, serving as mechanical support and forming the basic envelope of the article;
[0054] 2. at least one local decompression element, consisting either of an opening in the textile structure, or of a weakly compressive or non-compressive textile area;
[0055] 3. at least one mechanical modulation element, including a folding part and / or a mechanical tightening means intended to increase, reduce or adjust compression locally at the calf level.
[0056] These elements are distinct from each other, but configured to cooperate in order to allow controlled, localized, progressive and reversible modulation of the compression exerted at the calf level.

1. A textile article intended to cover totally or partially the calf of a user, such as a sock, a sleeve or an independent textile band, characterized in that it comprises, at the calf, a slightly compressive or non-compressive textile zone (3) optionally delimited by a peripheral border (4), said zone (3) being associated with at least one tightening means (6,6b) configured to allow the user to reversibly and personally modulate the tension exerted at the calf during activity, without removing the article, in order to reduce or prevent excessive compression, locally adapt the pressure to the morphology of the user, improve comfort, promote mobility and reduce the risk of muscle strain related to textile compression during an activity requiring the wearing of a textile covering the calf.
