An RFID and raspberry pi pico based trolley for automated billing and food nutrition display

Abstract

The present invention is related to an RFID and Raspberry Pi Pico based trolley for automated billing and food nutrition display. The present invention represents an intelligent smart trolley system for automated billing and displaying of nutritional information using RFID and Raspberry Pi Pico. Each product will have an RFID tag that will be detected by the RFID reader connected to the trolley. This system retrieves product details, calculates calories, sugar, fat, and protein using Machine Learning algorithms in a runtime environment and displays the overall bill on an OLED screen. It has a buzzer for unauthorized items in the trolley, Wi-Fi connectivity for cloud synchronization, and payment through QR / UPI displayed on the trolley screen. The present invention improves efficiency in retail sectors by reducing manpower and developing health-oriented smart shopping.
