Abstract

A transcutaneous nerve stimulation patch arrangement comprising at least one patch (1) designed for placement on the skin and comprising: a flexible backing layer (2); an adhesive layer (12) arranged on a skin-facing surface of the backing layer (2); a removable release liner covering the adhesive layer prior to use; at least two conductive electrodes (3) integrated into at least one patch (1) and positioned to contact the skin when the adhesive layer (12) is attached to the user's skin; a stimulation unit integrated into at least one patch (1) and electrically connected to the electrodes (3), the stimulation unit being configured to generate electrical impulses, preferably at frequencies between 1–100 Hz and preferably with pulse widths between 100–500 µs;a power source (5) integrated into at least one patch (1) and electrically connected to the stimulation unit; a control circuit configured to regulate the delivery of electrical impulses according to predefined stimulation patterns, wherein the control circuit is configured to automatically initiate the stimulation when at least one patch is applied to the skin.
