Abstract

The invention relates to an axial impeller (1) for a pump (2), in particular for an underwater cleaner, with at least one impeller blade (4) having at least one leading edge (5). To reduce the risk of injury from the axial impeller (1), it is provided that the impeller blade (4) has at least one protective element (7) in the region of at least one leading edge (5), and that the impeller blade (4) has at least one positive locking element (10) in the region of the leading edge (5), wherein the positive locking element (10) is formed by at least one bore (9) or punching.
