A game resource preloading method and device

Abstract

The application discloses a game resource preloading method and device. The game contains a target virtual character in a game map. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring position information of the target virtual character in the game map, and acquiring position information of preset available game resources in the game map. The available game resources refer to game resources that can play a role for a game player. Target available game resources in a predetermined distance range from the target virtual character are acquired from the available game resources to construct a first target resource set. A first preloading sequence of the target available game resources in the first target resource set is determined based on driving indexes corresponding to the target available game resources in the first target resource set. The target available game resources are preloaded according to the first preloading sequence of the target available game resources. By using the method, the game resource preloading process conforms to the search habit of the player for the available game resources.
