Description

Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to an information processing device, an information processing system, and an information processing method. Background Technology

[0002] Various technologies have been proposed to alleviate congestion around facilities hosting events (e.g., concerts) (see, for example, International Publication No. 2016 / 079778). In conventional technologies, a bus service operator's traffic control system performs service provision during events by switching the mode of bus stops present at the event facility so that dedicated buses can depart from such stops, thereby reducing the number of people waiting for buses.

[0003] However, traditional technologies have room for improvement in providing users with more helpful information. For example, in situations with large crowds, it is foreseeable that a surge of people will enter transportation facilities such as buses, increasing wait times. Therefore, it is difficult for users to accurately know how much waiting time they need to be prepared for. That is, traditionally, users have difficulty knowing accurately the amount of time required to travel from their point of origin (the activity facility) to their destination (including the time spent traveling by public transportation). Summary of the Invention

[0004] The present invention is made in view of the above circumstances, and its object is to provide an information processing device, an information processing system, and an information processing method that can provide users with useful information.

[0005] To address the aforementioned problems and achieve the objective, the information processing apparatus according to the present invention includes an acquisition unit, an estimation unit, and a providing unit. The acquisition unit acquires dwell information related to a user's dwell time at facilities along the route from the origin to the destination. The estimation unit estimates the required time to reach the destination based on the dwell information acquired by the acquisition unit. The providing unit provides content based on the required time estimated by the estimation unit.

[0006] According to the present invention, useful information can be provided to users. Attached Figure Description

[0015] Figure 9 This is a flowchart illustrating the processing procedure performed by an information processing device according to an embodiment. Detailed Implementation

[0016] In the following, embodiments of the information processing apparatus, information processing system, and information processing method disclosed in this application will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments shown below.

[0017] First, we will use Figure 1 and Figure 2 An outline of the information processing method according to an embodiment is provided. Figure 1 and Figure 2 This is a diagram illustrating an outline of an information processing method according to an embodiment. The information processing method according to the embodiment comprises, as... Figure 1 The information processing device 10 shown performs this operation. Additionally, as... Figure 1 As shown, the information processing apparatus 10 according to the embodiment can be communicatively connected to a terminal device 40 owned by user U, in which various information can be sent and received.

[0018] Here, Figure 1 This illustrates a scenario where, after an activity concludes at the activity facility (P1, the departure point), user U intends to take a train from the nearest station A (P2, the destination).

[0019] In this scenario, many other users who participated in the activity may also be taking the train from the nearest station A, just like user U. If other users flock to station A and gather there, the scheduled time for user U to travel from departure point P1 to board the train at destination P2 may increase. Therefore, it is crucial to accurately provide users with the required amount of time.

[0020] However, as Figure 2As shown, other users after the event include those who go directly to station A and those who stop at facilities P3 or P4 located in the middle of the route. These users spend a certain amount of time traveling to station A, making it difficult to estimate the level of congestion in which time zone. That is, other users move in different ways, making it difficult to accurately estimate the amount of time required to reach destination P2.

[0021] Therefore, in the information processing method according to the embodiment, by taking into account the stay of another user at facilities P3 and P4, the amount of time required to reach destination P2 is estimated with high accuracy, and content based on the estimated amount of time required is provided.

[0022] Specifically, such as Figure 2 As shown, the information processing device 10 first acquires dwell information related to the dwelling of one or more users (another user as described above) at facilities P3 and P4 (step S1). Facilities P3 and P4 are facilities where the other user can stay. Facilities P3 and P4 can be of any type, such as restaurants, retailers, bookstores, or parks.

[0023] In addition, although Figure 2 The diagram illustrates that facilities P3 and P4 exist outside of the activity facility that serves as the departure point P1, but they could also be shops within the activity facility (e.g., a merchandise department), shops within the station area that serves as the destination P2, etc. In other words, facilities P3 and P4 can be any facility, as long as another user is likely to stay in such a facility and spend a certain amount of time there.

[0024] The stay information includes the following: whether another user is currently staying at facility P3 or P4, whether he / she / they are heading to facility P3 or P4, or whether he / she / they have obtained (used) a coupon provided by facility P3 or P4, etc.

[0025] For example, dwell information is information about the number of other users present around facilities P3 and P4 (this number information is based on fixed cameras 60 set up along routes, etc. (see...) Figure 3 The information includes images of the facilities P3 and P4, information related to the use of rewards (e.g., coupons) provided to another user, information based on changes in the location information of another user, etc., details of which will be described later.

[0026] Then, in the information processing method according to the embodiment, the amount of time required to reach destination P2 is estimated based on the stay information (step S2). For example, the information processing device 10 predicts the amount of time required for each user to reach destination P2 based on the stay information, in order to predict the number of users present at destination P2 in each time zone. Then, the information processing device 10 estimates the amount of time required from user U's departure time to destination P2 based on the predicted number of users.

[0027] Then, in the information processing method according to the embodiment, content based on the estimated required time is provided to the user U's terminal device 40 (step S3). Figure 2 The example shown illustrates providing information related to the required time, such as "It will take X minutes to get to station A by train immediately." Details of the content provided by the information processing device 10 will be described later.

[0028] Therefore, in the information processing method according to the embodiment, by considering the dwell time of another user, the amount of time required to reach the destination is estimated, so that user U can accurately know the amount of time required to reach the destination. That is, in the information processing method according to the embodiment, useful information can be provided to user U.

[0029] Next, we will use Figure 3 To illustrate a configuration example of an information processing system according to an embodiment. Figure 3 This is a block diagram illustrating a configuration example of an information processing system 1 according to an embodiment.

[0030] like Figure 3 As shown, the information processing system 1 includes an information processing device 10 that performs information processing methods, a terminal device 40, a fixed camera 60, and a coupon server 100, which are communicatively connected via a network N such as the Internet. Furthermore, although... Figure 3 For the sake of simplicity, each of the terminal device 40, the fixed camera 60, and the coupon server 100 is shown individually, but multiple of them may be provided.

[0031] Terminal device 40 is a device owned and used by user U or other users. Alternatively, a smartphone or tablet terminal may be used as terminal device 40, but it is not limited to these.

[0032] Terminal device 40 includes, for example, a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, which detects location information indicating the user's location (more precisely, the location of terminal device 40) based on signals from GPS satellites or similar devices. Terminal device 40 can transmit the detected location information to information processing device 10.

[0033] In addition, the terminal device 40 can receive various information provided by the information processing device 10 and display it on a display unit (not shown) or output sound.

[0034] The fixed camera 60 is installed on the road, inside the facility, around the facility, around the departure point, or around the destination.

[0035] The fixed camera 60 captures images along the user's movement route, within the facility, around the facility, around the departure point, or around the destination, and sends the captured images to the information processing device 10. Furthermore, while the images from the fixed camera 60 are video data, it is not limited to this, and the fixed camera can also provide still image data, etc.

[0036] Alternatively, the fixed camera 60 can be a human detection sensor that detects people along the user's movement route, inside the facility, around the facility, around the departure point, or around the destination. For example, a thermoelectric sensor using infrared signals or similar methods can be used as a human detection sensor.

[0037] The coupon server 100 is a server that provides coupons as rewards that can be used in the facility to the user's terminal device 40. In addition to coupons, rewards can also be points, facility tickets, etc., that can be used in the facility. Furthermore, the coupon server 100 can provide information to the information processing device 10 regarding the user's use of rewards.

[0038] Information regarding usage, such as the number of rewards used or the number of rewards issued (the planned number of rewards).

[0039] Next, we will use Figure 4 To illustrate a configuration example of the information processing apparatus 10 according to an embodiment. Figure 4 This is a functional block diagram illustrating an example configuration of the information processing apparatus 10 according to an embodiment. Additionally, Figure 4 The block diagram only shows the components that are functional blocks necessary to explain the features of this embodiment and omits illustrations of general components.

[0040] in other words, Figure 4 Each component shown in the block diagram is conceptual in function and does not necessarily have to be physically configured as shown. For example, the specific pattern of distribution or integration of the various functional blocks is not limited to its illustration, but can be fully or partially functionally or physically distributed or integrated (and thus configured) in any unit according to various loads and usage conditions.

[0041] like Figure 4 As shown, the information processing device 10 includes a communication unit 11, a control unit 20, and a storage unit 30.

[0042] The communication unit 11 is a communication interface connected to the communication network N for bidirectional communication, and performs the sending and receiving of information with the terminal device 40, the fixed camera 60, the coupon server 100, etc.

[0043] The control unit 20 includes an acquisition unit 21, an estimation unit 22, and a provisioning unit 23, and includes, for example, a computer having a central processing unit (CPU), read-only memory (ROM), random access memory (RAM), hard disk drive, input / output ports, etc., as well as various circuits.

[0044] For example, the computer's CPU reads and executes a program stored in ROM to serve as the acquisition unit 21, estimation unit 22, and provision unit 23 of the control unit 20.

[0045] In addition, at least some or all of the acquisition unit 21, estimation unit 22 and providing unit 23 of the control unit 20 may be provided, which are composed of hardware such as ASIC or FPGA.

[0046] Furthermore, the storage unit 30 is, for example, a storage device composed of a storage device such as non-volatile memory, flash memory, or hard disk drive. This storage unit 30 stores user information 31, various programs, etc.

[0047] User information 31 is information about users (including user U and / or another / other users). Figure 5 This is a diagram showing an example of user information 31. (For example...) Figure 5 As shown, user information 31 includes items such as "user ID", "location", "attributes", and "reward usage", and these items are related to each other.

[0048] "User ID" is identification information that identifies the user. "Location" is information indicating the user's location (more precisely, the location of the terminal device 40). "Location" is represented, for example, by coordinates such as latitude and longitude. Furthermore, if the user is located at a predetermined facility, "location" can be a location within the facility. For example, if the user is in a stadium or concert hall, "location" can be the location of a seat in the stadium or concert hall.

[0049] "Attributes" are attribute information that represents a user's characteristics. Attributes include information such as a user's age, gender, address, hobbies, or preferences, which are examples and not limitations.

[0050] "Rewards Usage" includes information about how the rewards have been used. For example, "Rewards Usage" includes information such as whether the rewards have been used, the type of rewards issued, or the number of rewards issued.

[0051] In addition, although Figure 5 The example shown conveniently provides abstract descriptions such as “Location #1”, “Attribute #1”, and “Reward Usage #1”, while actually storing string information as described above or specific information such as scores or values.

[0052] Next, the various functions of the control unit 20 (acquisition unit 21, estimation unit 22, and provision unit 23) will be explained.

[0053] The acquisition unit 21 acquires various types of information. For example, the acquisition unit 21 acquires participant quantity information related to the number of users participating in the activity. For example, the acquisition unit 21 acquires the number of tickets sold for the activity as participant quantity information.

[0054] In addition, the acquisition unit 21 obtains information about whether the user is participating in the activity as a group (family, friends, etc.) based on the information entered by the user when purchasing the ticket.

[0055] Furthermore, the acquisition unit 21 can acquire (estimate) participant number information based on images from the fixed camera 60 installed in the event facility. Additionally, the acquisition unit 21 can acquire departure information based on the images from the fixed camera 60, indicating that another user / other user has left after the event ends.

[0056] For example, based on images captured by fixed cameras 60 that capture images of audience seating, acquisition unit 21 obtains the number of other users remaining in their seats or the number of other users leaving as departure information. Alternatively, in the case of a large event facility, departure information can be obtained based on images of various areas captured by multiple fixed cameras 60.

[0057] In addition, the acquisition unit 21 acquires dwell information related to the dwelling of another / other user in the facility. For example, the acquisition unit 21 acquires dwell information estimated based on images from the fixed camera 60. Specifically, based on images from the fixed camera 60, the acquisition unit 21 acquires the following information as dwell information: the number of another / other user around or inside the facility, or a dwell time amount indicating how long each other user stayed in the facility.

[0058] Furthermore, the acquisition unit 21 acquires the number of other users who have already stayed at the facility, or who will stay at the facility from now on, as stay information based on the images from the fixed camera 60. That is, the acquisition unit 21 acquires the number of other users who have already stayed at the facility or who will stay at the facility from now on as stay information. Therefore, by using the images from the fixed camera 60, highly accurate stay information can be acquired.

[0059] In addition, although the acquisition unit 21 mentioned above acquires the dwell information as an estimation result, the acquisition unit 21 itself can estimate the dwell information based on the image, or it can acquire the dwell information estimated by another server.

[0060] In addition, the acquisition unit 21 acquires estimated dwell time information based on the usage of rewards provided to another user. Specifically, the acquisition unit 21 acquires information about reward usage from the coupon server 100. For example, the acquisition unit 21 acquires information such as whether the reward has been used, the amount of reward used, or the amount of reward issued (the planned amount).

[0061] Then, based on the usage of rewards, the acquisition unit 21 acquires the number of other users who have already stayed at the facility (or have already used rewards), or the number of other users who intend to stay at the facility (or intend to use rewards) from now on, as stay information. Therefore, by using information on reward usage, highly accurate stay information can be obtained.

[0062] Additionally, the acquisition unit 21 can obtain the usage of rewards from the coupon server 100 to estimate dwell time information, or it can obtain dwell time information estimated by another server.

[0063] Furthermore, the acquisition unit 21 can acquire stay information estimated based on the location information of a terminal device owned by another user. Specifically, the acquisition unit 21 acquires the following information as stay information: the location information of another user; the number of other users located around or within the facility; or the number of other users traveling to the facility. Therefore, by using the user's location information, highly accurate stay information can be obtained.

[0064] In addition, the stay information may include the amount of time spent depending on the type of facility. For example, stay information may include a stay of 60 minutes in the case of a restaurant, or a stay of 15 minutes in the case of a merchandise department such as a store. Furthermore, the amount of time spent may be a preset value or may be calculated based on previous actual stay times.

[0065] Based on the dwell information acquired by the acquisition unit 21, the estimation unit 22 estimates the amount of time required to reach the destination. Specifically, the estimation unit 22 calculates the following value as the number of other users traveling to the destination, which is obtained by subtracting the number of other users staying at the facility and the number of other users intending to stay at the facility based on the dwell information from the number of other users participating in the activity (participation quantity information) or the number of other users who have left (departure information).

[0066] Estimation unit 22 calculates the number of other users traveling to their destination in each time zone. Specifically, estimation unit 22 first estimates the arrival time of another user by taking into account the amount of time spent at the facility. For example, estimation unit 22 estimates the arrival time based on the amount of travel time required for him / her / they to travel to their destination and the time spent at the facility.

[0067] Then, based on the estimated arrival time, estimation unit 22 calculates the number of another / other users traveling to (or arriving at) the destination in each time zone, and estimates the number of another / other users in each time zone based on the result of this calculation.

[0068] Then, estimation unit 22 estimates the amount of time required to reach the destination based on the estimated number of other users. The amount of time required can be the time before reaching the destination; for example, if the destination is a transportation facility, the time required to take such a transportation facility can be included in the aforementioned amount of time required.

[0069] Specifically, if the destination is a train, the amount of time from the ticket gate to the platform or including the time before the train departs can be set as the required amount of time.

[0070] That is, based on the number of another / other users in the dwell information, the estimation unit 22 estimates the number of another / other users located from the ticket gate to the platform or the passenger load factor of the train, or obtains and uses the train operation information to estimate the amount of time required before boarding the train.

[0071] Therefore, the estimation unit 22 estimates the required time, including the time required to take transportation facilities, so that more useful information can be provided to the user through the providing unit 23, which is the next unit.

[0072] Furthermore, when the transportation facility is a train, the estimation unit 22 can estimate the amount of time required before boarding the train for each destination. For example, the estimation unit 22 may initially estimate the ratio of users at each destination based on the previous status of the train, and multiply the number of other users in the stop information by such ratio to estimate the number of other users at each destination and estimate the amount of time required before boarding the train for each destination.

[0073] Therefore, the estimation unit 22 estimates the amount of time required before boarding the train for each destination, so that more useful information can be provided to the user by the providing unit 23, which is the next unit.

[0074] Here, use Figures 6 to 8 The method for estimating the amount of time required for calculations performed by estimation unit 22 is explained. Figure 6 This is a diagram showing an example of the timetable required for the station. Figure 7 This is a diagram showing an example of the required timetable for a region. Figure 8 This is a diagram illustrating an example of a method for determining the amount of time required for the calculations performed by estimation unit 22. Additionally, as... Figure 6 and Figure 7 The information of each table shown is pre-stored in storage unit 30.

[0075] in addition, Figures 6 to 8 The area shown, for example, refers to a region obtained by dividing the route from the origin to the destination into units of distance. Figure 6 The timetable shown illustrates the amount of time required for each person in the station area (number of people in the area). Additionally, as... Figure 6 The station timetable shown illustrates the amount of time required for trains to travel to each destination (destination A and destination B).

[0076] For example Figure 6 This shows that when the number of people in the area is "X1" or less, the time required to travel by train to destination A is "a1", and the time required to travel by train to destination B is "b1". Additionally, as... Figure 6 The number of people in the area shown can include the number of people located in and around the station area. Furthermore, the number of people in the area can be further divided into the number of people traveling by train to each destination (the number of people on the platform).

[0077] Figure 7 The timetable shown illustrates the amount of time required for people in each area to travel through the area (the amount of time required to reach nearby areas). For example... Figure 7As shown, when the number of people in the area is "Y1" or less, the time required to pass through the area is "c1".

[0078] Alternatively, settings can be based on previous performance, such as... Figure 6 and Figure 7 The information in each table is shown. Furthermore, tables that consider additional factors such as weather and / or time zones can be generated and stored. Additionally, each table can be generated through artificial intelligence learning.

[0079] Estimation unit 22 uses Figure 6 and Figure 7 Estimate from the various tables in the table, such as Figure 8 The amount of time required is shown. Figure 8 A diagram illustrating an example of how to calculate the required time along the route from area A7, which includes activity facilities, to the station yard. Specifically, the route from the activity facilities to the station is in the following order: area A7, area A6, area A5, area A4, area A3, area A2, area A1, station front area, station yard.

[0080] When area A7 is the departure point, estimation unit 22 obtains dwell information, which estimates the number of people in each of the following areas: area A7, area A6, area A5, area A4, area A3, area A2, area A1, the front area of the station, and the station yard.

[0081] Then, estimate unit 22 reference Figure 6 and Figure 7 The table shown determines the required time for each region based on the estimated population. Figure 8 In the example shown, the time required for the station area (time required for regional travel) is "T0", the time required for the area in front of the station is "T00", the time required for area A1 is "T1", the time required for area A2 is "T2", the time required for area A3 is "T3", the time required for area A4 is "T4", the time required for area A5 is "T5", the time required for area A6 is "T6", and the time required for area A7 is "T7".

[0082] Additionally, for "T0" and "T00", the input is as follows: Figure 6 The input is one of "a1" to "a7" and "b1" to "b7" as shown, while for "T1" to "T7", the input is as follows: Figure 7 The numbers “c1” to “c7” are shown.

[0083] Then, estimation unit 22 calculates the amount of time required before boarding the train (or arriving at the boarding location) based on the estimated required time for each region. For example, if the departure point is region A7, the required time is calculated by adding the required time amounts "T0" to "T7". That is, the required time is "T0+T00+T1+T2+T3+T4+T5+T6+T7".

[0084] Furthermore, for example, if the departure point is region A3, the required time is calculated by adding the required time amounts "T0" to "T3". That is, the required time is "T0 + T00 + T1 + T2 + T3". Additionally, if the departure point is region A3, the process of determining the required time amounts for regions A4 to A7 is omitted.

[0085] Therefore, estimation unit 22 uses, as Figure 6 and Figure 7 The table shown allows for a high-accuracy estimation of the required time.

[0086] The providing unit 23 provides the required time based on the estimation unit 22. For example, if user U requests a required amount of time, the providing unit 23 sends information about the required amount of time based on user U's current location to the terminal device 40.

[0087] Furthermore, the required time information can be information that directly and simply indicates the required time from the current location to the designated location (before boarding the transportation facility), or it can indicate the required time for each time zone. Additionally, the required time information can be information on the departure time of the train that can be boarded based on the estimation results of estimation unit 22. Furthermore, the required time information can indicate the required time for each destination of the train.

[0088] Furthermore, the information on the required time can be information from the time zone with the shortest required time. Additionally, the information on the required time can be information on the amount of time that should be spent before reaching the time zone with the shortest required time; in other words, information on the recommended amount of time to spend at the stop.

[0089] Furthermore, the providing unit 23 can publish rewards based on this recommended time (rewards related to behaviors suitable for spending the recommended time, such as coupons for dining menus that can be completed within the recommended time), or it can provide information on recommended facilities based on the recommended time (the reasonable time spent at the recommended facility is close to the recommended time). Specifically, in the case of a recommended time of 60 minutes, the providing unit 23 can provide information on recommending a stay at a restaurant (a restaurant is an example of a facility where the reasonable time for use is set to 60 minutes).

[0090] Next, we will use Figure 9 The processing procedure performed in the information processing apparatus 10 according to the embodiment is explained. Figure 9 This is a flowchart illustrating the processing procedure performed by the information processing device 10 according to an embodiment.

[0091] like Figure 9 As shown, firstly, the acquisition unit 21 acquires stay information related to the user's stay at the facility (step S101).

[0092] Then, the estimation unit 22 estimates the amount of time required to reach the destination based on the acquired stop information (step S102). Then, the providing unit 23 provides the content based on the amount of time required estimated by the estimation unit 22 (step S103) and ends the process.

[0093] As described above, the information processing apparatus 10 according to the embodiment includes an acquisition unit 21, an estimation unit 22, and a providing unit 23. The acquisition unit 21 acquires dwell information related to the user's dwell time at facilities along the route from the origin to the destination. Based on the dwell information acquired by the acquisition unit 21, the estimation unit 22 estimates the amount of time required to reach the destination.
