A large transaction management method and device

Abstract

This invention provides a method and apparatus for managing large transactions. When a scheduled task is executed, the method queries the running information of large transactions currently running in the system based on a script file generated in a specified directory. If the resources required for the SQL corresponding to the currently running large transaction are sufficient and the scheduled task has not ended, execution continues. If the required resources are insufficient, appropriate handling operations are performed according to the type of running information. In this embodiment of the invention, when a scheduled task is executed, the system transaction running status is automatically monitored. When a large transaction is identified, appropriate targeted handling is performed on different types of large transaction SQL information based on resource usage. Through fully automated monitoring and handling, not only can the risk of misoperation that may be caused by manual management and maintenance be avoided, greatly improving server stability, but also alarms can be responded to quickly, handling time can be shortened, and the purpose of reducing operation and maintenance difficulty and improving work efficiency can be achieved.
