The specific implementation scheme is as follows: a tile preview request sent by a first terminal is received, wherein the tile preview request comprises a target position of a target tile in a target map and a target segmentation mode identifier of the target map, and the target map is a map uploaded by a user. Then, when the target segmentation mode identifier exists in each segmentation mode identifier stored in advance, a target positioning algorithm identifier corresponding to the target segmentation mode identifier is determined according to a preset correspondence between each segmentation mode identifier and a positioning algorithm identifier, and a target positioning algorithm is acquired. Then, the storage path of the target tile is located by using the target positioning algorithm, the target tile is acquired, and the target tile is returned to the first terminal, so that the first terminal displays the target tile. Thus, the preview function is provided for the map uploaded by the user.
