A method performed by a V2X application enabler, VAE, server in a vehicle-to-everything, V2X, communication system, the method comprising: receiving, from a first VAE client associated with a first V2X user equipment, UE, a group information update request for requesting to update group information of a group to update a group leader of the group from the first V2X UE to a second V2X UE; in response to receiving the group information update request, sending, to the second V2X UE, a group information update consent request based on identifying a capability associated with the second V2X UE; receiving, from the second V2X UE, a group information update consent response including information informing whether the group information update consent request is accepted by the second V2X UE; sending, to the first VAE client, a group information update response informing success or failure for the group information update request; and based on success for the group information update request, updating the group information, wherein the group information update consent request includes a group identity associated with the group and related information related to the update of the group information, the related information including information indicating whether the update of the group information is a time-limited update or a permanent update. 2.The method of claim 1, further comprising: based on success for the group information update request, triggering a group information update notification to at least one other V2X UE and a V2X application specific server in the group about the updated group information. The updating of the group information is associated with changing the group leader of the group from the first V2X UE to the second V2X UE.

The method of claim 8, wherein, wherein the group information update consent response includes information informing that the group information update consent request is accepted by the second V2X UE in a case that the group information update consent response includes information informing that the group information update consent request is accepted by the second V2X UE.

The method of claim 8, wherein, the group information update is associated with changing a group leader of the group from the first V2X UE to the second V2X UE, and wherein the group information update consent response includes information informing that the group information update consent request is accepted by the second V2X UE in a case that the second V2X UE accepts to lead the group. 11.A V2X application enabler (VAE) server in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication system, the VAE server comprising: a transceiver; and a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to: receive, from a first VAE client associated with a first V2X user equipment (UE), a group information update request for requesting to update group information of a group to update a group leader of the group from the first V2X UE to a second V2X UE; in response to receiving the group information update request, send, to the second V2X UE, a group information update consent request based on identifying a capability associated with the second V2X UE; receive, from the second V2X UE, a group information update consent response including information informing whether the group information update consent request is accepted by the second V2X UE; send, to the first VAE client, a group information update response informing success or failure of the group information update request; and update the group information based on identifying success of the group information update request, wherein the group information update consent request includes a group identity associated with the group and related information about the update of the group information, the related information including information indicating whether the update of the group information is a time-limited update or a permanent update. The VAE server of claim 11, wherein, trigger, based on identifying success of the group information update request, a group information update notification about the updated group information to at least one other V2X UE and a V2X application specific server in the group. 13.A V2X application enabler (VAE) server in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication system, the VAE server comprising: a transceiver; and a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to control to: determining that a group leader of a group associated with a first V2X user equipment (UE) and a second V2X UE is updated from the first V2X UE to the second V2X UE, sending, to a second VAE client associated with the second V2X UE, a group information update consent request for a group information update of a group associated with the first V2X UE and the second V2X UE; sending, to a first VAE client associated with the first V2X UE, an indication about the group information update; receiving, from the second VAE client, a group information update consent response including information informing whether the group information update consent request is accepted by the second V2X UE; and updating the group information based on a success of the group information update consent request, wherein the group information update consent request includes a group identification associated with the group and related information about the update of the group information, the related information including information indicating whether the update of the group information is a time-limited update or a permanent update.
