Abstract

This invention relates to the field of battery module technology, specifically to a tooling for applying insulating tape to the base plate of a battery module. The tooling includes a conveying mechanism with a placement component mounted on it. After the base plate is pasted along its long side by the first tape-applying component, the placement component continues to convey the module and contacts a rotation drive, rotating 90 degrees. When tape needs to be applied to all four sides of the base plate, the tooling can be placed on the placement component and conveyed via the conveying mechanism. First, tape is applied to the two long sides of the base plate. Then, through the interaction between the rotation drive and the placement component, the battery module rotates during conveying. Finally, tape is applied to the two short sides of the base plate. The entire adhesion process is automated, and the adhesion of the long and short sides is seamless, greatly improving adhesion efficiency and effectiveness while reducing the workload of workers.
