A method for inducing multi-bud growth on rhizomes of Paris polyphylla and its understory planting

Abstract

This invention discloses a method for inducing multi-bud growth on rhizomes of Paris polyphylla and its understory planting. The method involves topping the rhizomes and using a solution containing 100 mg·L⁻¹ ‑1 GA3 and 10 mg·L ‑1 Induction was achieved by soaking in a mixed aqueous solution of NAA, followed by spraying three more times with a solution containing 50 mg·L⁻¹ after planting under the forest canopy. ‑1 GA3 and 5 mg·L ‑1 A mixed aqueous solution of NAA is used. In March or April of the following year, the divided rhizomes with buds are planted in pre-prepared forest land. Brassinolide and foliar fertilizer are sprayed three times consecutively from April to May each year. The tops are removed in May or June, and superphosphate is applied in July or August. Base fertilizer and compound fertilizer are applied in October or November. Using this method, multi-bud rhizome seedlings can be efficiently induced, overcoming problems such as low bulb division rate and reducing artificial planting costs. Simultaneously, by spraying brassinolide and foliar fertilizer, and applying topdressing at different times, photosynthesis and disease resistance are improved, resulting in increased yield and quality.
