Security system and method of using a security system

Abstract

The present application relates to a security system and a method of using a security system. The security system comprises: an electronic access system for a security area of subjects; a radio transponder; a radio station for identifying the transponder; a control and evaluation unit, which is connected to the radio station for evaluating the information read; an entry area with an entry station, through which the security area can only be entered, by which the subjects can pass before arriving at the security area and after leaving the security area, the entry station being activated when the subjects pass through the entry area, the permitted subjects having a transponder with an identification, the permitted subjects with the transponder being able to pass through the entry area, the control and evaluation unit being designed to: read and check the transponder in a first area and a second area when the subjects enter the security area, only allowing the passage through the entry area and the entry into the security area when the transponder has been effectively read and checked in the first area and the second area, the control and evaluation unit registering the permitted subjects in the security area.
