[0021] For example, when an electronic component such as a relay is operated in an electrical connection box, a large current flows through it. Therefore, if the operator's finger touches the contact portion of the relay, there is a possibility of electric shock. In this regard, by covering the contact portion of the relay with a cover member, the occurrence of adverse situations such as electric shock can be prevented.
[0022] On the other hand, since a large current flows through the relay, heat is generated in the relay and the contact portion of the relay. However, as described above, when the contact portion of the relay is covered with a cover member, the heat is easily retained in the cover member. That is, the air in the cover member removes heat from the relay and the contact portion of the relay and moves, but it is not released to the outside due to the cover member, and the hot air is retained in the cover member. When the cover member is filled with heat, the cover member and the surrounding insulating resin parts melt and lose insulation, and there is a possibility that a short circuit or other undesirable situation will occur.
[0023] However, the electrical connection box of Patent Document 1 does not take such a problem into consideration and cannot solve it.
[0024] Therefore, an object is to provide an electrical junction box that can cover the contact portion of an electronic component to prevent the contact portion from being exposed and prevent heat from being retained in the contact portion. Effects of the present disclosure
[0025] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to cover the contact portion of the electronic component to prevent the contact portion from being exposed and to prevent heat from being retained in the contact portion. Description of Embodiments of the Invention
[0026] First, the embodiments of the present disclosure will be described by way of examples. In addition, at least a part of the embodiments described below may be arbitrarily combined.
[0027] (1) An electrical junction box according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a box body in which an electronic component that generates heat when energized is installed, and includes a cover member that covers the periphery of terminals including terminals installed on side surfaces of the electronic component, and the cover member has a vent hole for ventilation between the inside and the outside.
[0028] In this embodiment, the cover member covers the periphery of the terminal including the terminal provided on the side surface of the electronic component, and the vent of the cover member allows ventilation inside and outside the cover member. Therefore, the contact portion of the electronic component is covered to prevent the contact portion from being exposed, and the heat from the contact portion can be prevented from being retained in the cover member.
[0029] (2) In the electrical connection box involved in the embodiment of the present disclosure, the electronic component is assembled on a base, and the base is set on the box body. The cover part has: a facing plate, which is arranged to face the side surface of the electronic component; and an anti-electric shock plate, which is set on the edge of the facing plate separated from the box body, blocking the gap between the facing plate and the side surface to suppress electric shock, and the vent includes a first vent formed on the anti-electric shock plate.
[0030] In this embodiment, the anti-electric shock plate blocks the gap between the facing plate of the cover member and the side surface of the electronic component to suppress electric shock, and the first vent formed in the anti-electric shock plate allows ventilation inside and outside the cover member. Therefore, the contact portion of the electronic component is covered, which can suppress electric shock caused by the exposure of the contact portion, and can prevent heat from the contact portion from being retained in the cover member.
[0031] (3) In the electrical connection box according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the first ventilation port is formed in an edge portion of the electric shock protection plate that is closer to the side surface of the electronic component.
[0032] In this embodiment, the first vent is formed at an edge portion close to the side surface of the electronic component. In other words, the first vent is formed on the upper side of the contact portion of the electronic component, that is, on the path of the rising air that takes heat from the contact portion and becomes high temperature. Thus, the high-temperature air can be quickly released to the outside of the cover member, preventing the heat from the contact portion from being retained in the cover member.
[0033] (4) In the electrical connection box according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the vent includes a second vent formed in the electric shock protection plate to be separated from the one edge portion.
[0034] In this embodiment, in addition to the first vent, the second vent is formed at a position separated from the one edge portion in the anti-electric shock plate. Thus, the high-temperature air in the cover member is released more quickly to the outside of the cover member, which can more effectively prevent the heat from the contact portion from being retained in the cover member.
[0035] (5) In the electrical junction box according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the first ventilation opening has a comb shape that is open toward the other edge portion that faces the one edge portion.
[0036] In this embodiment, the first vent is in a comb shape that is open toward another edge portion facing the one edge portion, thereby ensuring that electric shock caused by exposure of the contact portion of the electronic component is suppressed, and the vent is enlarged to release the high-temperature air in the cover member to the outside of the cover member.
[0037] (6) In the electrical junction box according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the vent includes a third vent formed in the facing plate.
[0038] In this embodiment, the third vent is formed in the facing plate of the cover member, so that the outside air flows into the cover member through the third vent. As a result, the circulation of the air ventilated inside and outside the cover member is shortened, and the efficiency of heat dissipation achieved by releasing the high-temperature air in the cover member to the outside can be improved.
[0039] (7) In the electrical junction box according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the pedestal includes a clamping mechanism that clamps the facing plate, and the facing plate includes an engaging protrusion that engages with an engaging portion formed on the clamping mechanism.
[0040] In this embodiment, when the cover member is installed, the clamping mechanism clamps the facing plate of the cover member, and the engaging protrusion of the facing plate engages with the engaging portion of the clamping mechanism. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the cover member from being accidentally removed.
[0041] [Details of the Embodiment of the Invention] Hereinafter, an electrical connection box according to an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to these examples, but is indicated by the claims, and is intended to include all changes within the meaning and scope equivalent to the claims. (Implementation method 1)
[0042] Figure 1 is a perspective view of an electrical junction box 100 according to Embodiment 1. Figure 2A to Figure 2B It is a top view and a side view of the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment. Figure 2A is a top view of the electrical connection box 100, Figure 2B 1 is a side view of the electrical junction box 100 .
[0043] The electrical connection box 100 is mounted on the outside of an object to be mounted, such as a battery pack 200 (see FIG. 2 ) of an EV (Electric Vehicle). Figure 2B In FIG. 1 , for convenience of explanation, the state in which the electrical connection box 100 is installed in the battery pack 200 is shown.
[0044] The electrical connection box 100 includes, for example, a box body 50 in which a fuse, a substrate, etc. are installed. The box body 50 is flat and has a substantially rectangular shape when viewed from above, and a corner of one end in the longitudinal direction is cut into a stepped shape. The box body 50 is made of, for example, resin, and is composed of a lower case 30 mounted on the assembly object and an upper case 20 covering the lower case 30. In the following, for the sake of convenience, the upper case 20 side is described as the upper side and the lower case 30 side is described as the lower side.
[0045] The lower case 30 is in the shape of a box with one side open on the upper case 20 side. In addition, the upper case 20 is in the shape of a box with one side open on the lower case 30 side. The dimension of the upper case 20 in the length direction and the dimension in the width direction orthogonal to the length direction are slightly larger than those of the lower case 30, and the upper case 20 covers the lower case 30.
[0046] The lower housing 30 includes a bottom wall 31 whose outer side is in contact with the assembly object, and a side wall 33 extending vertically from the edge of the bottom wall 31 toward the upper housing 20 .
[0047] The upper housing 20 has a top wall 21 facing the bottom wall 31 of the lower housing 30 and a side wall 22 surrounding the edge of the top wall 21 and extending vertically toward the lower housing 30. The upper housing 20 is provided with fastening parts 23 at both ends and the middle part in the longitudinal direction for mounting the box 50 to the assembly object.
[0048] Specifically, the fastening parts 23 are provided at two corners of one end in the length direction, and at two corners and between the two corners of the other end. Moreover, in the upper shell 20, three fastening parts 23 are also provided in parallel along the width direction in the middle part in the length direction. Each fastening part 23 is provided protrudingly on the inner side surface of the top wall 21 facing the bottom wall 31, and the other fastening parts 23 except one fastening part 23 in the approximate center of the top wall 21 are provided near the side wall 22 (refer to Figure 2A ).
[0049] Each fastening portion 23 has a bottomed cylindrical shape, and the top wall 21 side is open. In addition, a through hole (not shown) used when the box body 50 is mounted on the assembly object is formed at the bottom of each fastening portion 23. The box body 50 (electrical junction box 100) can be mounted on the assembly object by inserting a screw from the assembly object into the through hole of the fastening portion 23 and screwing it with a nut (not shown) provided in the fastening portion 23.
[0050] In addition, a plurality of ribs 24 are protrudingly provided on an outer side surface 211 of the top wall 21 opposite to the inner side surface in order to prevent warping of the top wall 21 due to gravity, a difference in thermal expansion, and the like.
[0051] Moreover, various connection parts 212 for connecting to other devices are provided at multiple locations on the outer side surface 211 of the top wall 21. In addition, a plurality of assembly seats 213 (pedestals) for relays 400 (electronic components) are provided at approximately the center of the outer side surface 211 of the top wall 21, and the relays 400 are mounted on each assembly seat 213.
[0052] A bus bar 500 described later is connected to each relay 400 . In addition, a contact portion between the bus bar 500 and the relay 400 is covered by a cover member 40 .
[0053] Figure 3 FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view showing an enlarged state of the cover member 40 in the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment. Figure 4 This is a partial perspective view showing, in an enlarged manner, a state in which the cover member 40 of the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment is removed.
[0054] The mounting seat 213 is a concave portion that is rectangular when viewed from above. That is, in the mounting seat 213, from the bottom surface 221 (refer to Figure 8 ) are provided with plates upwardly on each edge of the relay 400. The relay 400 is in a rectangular parallelepiped shape and is mounted on the mounting seat 213 from the bottom side, with the upper surface 402 exposed. A cover member 40 is installed between the relay 400 and the mounting seat 213.
[0055] The relay 400 has two terminals 405 spaced apart in the horizontal direction on one side 401 (side), and the busbars 500 are connected to the terminals 405 respectively. The terminal 405 is cylindrical in shape with a threaded portion formed on the inner peripheral surface, and only one end portion is exposed from the one side 401, and the remaining portion is buried in the relay 400. The bolt 300 is passed through a through hole formed at one end of the busbar 500 and screwed into the terminal 405, so that the busbar 500 is screwed and fixed to the terminal 405. In addition, a strip-shaped shielding plate 406 extending in the longitudinal direction is protruded in the center of the one side 401 and between the two terminals 405.
[0056] In addition, the relay 400 has an engaging protrusion 404 protruding from a side surface 403 adjacent to the one surface 401 , which engages with an engaged portion 220 of the mounting seat 213 to be described later.
[0057] The assembly seat 213 has a rectangular plate portion 216 facing one side 401 of the relay 400. The rectangular plate portion 216 has a middle portion corresponding to the terminal 405 of the relay 400 cut off except for the two lateral end portions 216a. An engaging groove 219 is provided between the two end portions 216a at a position corresponding to the shielding plate 406 of the relay 400. The inner side of the engaging groove 219 corresponds to the shape of the shielding plate 406 and engages with the shielding plate 406. The longitudinal dimension of the engaging groove 219 is shorter than that of the shielding plate 406, and both ends are open. Therefore, the upper end of the shielding plate 406 is disengaged from the upper end of the engaging groove 219 (refer to Figure 4 ).
[0058] A notch 217 (engaging portion) is formed at each end 216a of the rectangular plate portion 216 to engage with an engaging protrusion 45 of the cover member 40 described later. The notch 217 is a rectangular shape extending in the longitudinal direction. The end 216a and the clamping column 218 together constitute the clamping mechanism 215. The clamping column 218 and the clamping mechanism 215 will be described in detail later.
[0059] In the assembly seat 213, an open portion 213a is provided in the middle of the plate portion adjacent to the rectangular plate portion 216 in the horizontal direction. The open portion 213a is provided with a clamped portion 220 that is clamped with the clamping protrusion 404 of the relay 400. The clamped portion 220 is in an inverted U shape. The relay 400 is held in the assembly seat 213 by the clamped portion 220 being clamped with the clamping protrusion 404.
[0060] The mounting seat 213 is provided with clamping mechanisms 215 for clamping the cover member 40 at both ends of the rectangular plate portion 216. As described above, the clamping mechanism 215 is composed of the end 216a of the rectangular plate portion 216 and the clamping column 218. The two clamping columns 218 have the same shape.
[0061] Figure 5 2 is a schematic longitudinal sectional view of the clamping mechanism 215 in a state where the cover member 40 is installed in the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment. Figure 6 yes Figure 5 The arrow VI is pointing to the view, Figure 7 2 is a schematic longitudinal sectional view of the clamping mechanism 215 in the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment, in a state where the cover member 40 is removed. Figure 8 2 is a schematic longitudinal sectional view of the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment in which the cover member 40 and the rectangular plate portion 216 of the mounting seat 213 are omitted. Figure 8 , for convenience, the state where the bolts 300 and the bus bar 500 are removed is shown.
[0062] Each clamping column 218 is protruded from the bottom surface 221 of the assembly seat 213 at the inner side of each end portion 216a and is separated from each end portion 216a (see Figure 8 ). Each clamping column 218 is a flat rectangular box extending in the longitudinal direction, and the bottom surface 221 side is open.
[0063] The two main surfaces of the clamping column 218 face the end 216a and the relay 400. One of the two main surfaces on the relay 400 side is open, and an upper end 218c is provided at the upper portion. The one end of the bus bar 500 is inserted from below between the clamping column 218 and one surface 401 of the relay 400, and is positioned by the upper end 218c (refer to Figure 6 ).
[0064] In addition, the clamping column 218 has a force-applying portion 218a formed on the other main surface thereof, which is cut into and raised along the side wall 218b near each side wall 218b. The lower side of the force-applying portion 218a is shorter than the side wall 218b, and the lower end thereof protrudes toward the end 216a. Figure 7 As shown, the force applying portion 218a is arranged at a position corresponding to the notch 217 of the end portion 216a.
[0065] FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing the cover member 40 of the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment. Fig. 9A 4 is a perspective view showing the front side of the cover member 40. Fig. 9B 4 is a perspective view showing the back side of the cover member 40. The cover member 40 is made of, for example, an insulating material, and as described above, covers the contact portion of one side 401 of the relay 400. That is, the cover member 40 covers substantially the entire surface of the one side 401 including the terminal 405 (bolt 300) of the relay 400 and one end of the bus bar 500 connected to the terminal 405.
[0066] The cover member 40 has a facing plate 44 disposed facing away from one surface 401 in the installed state. The facing plate 44 is rectangular and is interposed between the end 216a and the clamping column 218 with its two long sides facing each other in the longitudinal direction in the installed state, and is clamped by the end 216a and the clamping column 218.
[0067] As described above, the facing plate 44 has two engaging protrusions 45 protruding from the front side thereof to engage with the notches 217 of each end portion 216a. In addition, the middle portion 46 in the lateral direction of the facing plate 44 protrudes outward. The middle portion 46 is substantially C-shaped in a cross-sectional view, and the engaging groove 219 is accommodated inside the middle portion 46 when the cover member 40 is installed.
[0068] At both ends of the facing plate 44 in the longitudinal direction (lateral direction), side walls 47 are provided extending toward the relay 400 (see Figure 4 The side wall 47 is a substantially rectangular shape extending in the longitudinal direction, and the dimension of the facing plate 44 and the one surface 401 in the facing direction (hereinafter referred to as the facing direction) becomes smaller as it approaches the lower end.
[0069] An upper edge plate 41 (anti-electric shock plate) is provided on the upper side edge of the facing plate 44, that is, the edge of the facing plate 44 separated from the box 50, extending on the relay 400 side. The upper edge plate 41 is a rectangular shape extending along the upper side edge of the facing plate 44. The upper edge plate 41 blocks a gap 600 between the facing plate 44 and a surface 401 of the relay 400. In the facing direction, the size of the upper edge plate 41 is larger than the gap 600. In addition, in the lateral direction, the size of the upper edge plate 41 is larger than that of the facing plate 44.
[0070] Therefore, when the cover member 40 is mounted, the other edge 41b of the upper edge plate 41 facing the edge 41a disposed close to the one surface 401 extends outward from the facing plate 44. In addition, both ends of the upper edge plate 41 in the longitudinal direction extend outward from the side wall 47.
[0071] The upper edge plate 41 has a protruding portion 43 in the middle of the longitudinal direction. The protruding portion 43 has one surface 401 open and is substantially C-shaped in a cross-sectional view. When the cover member 40 is mounted, the upper end of the shielding plate 406 is accommodated inside the protruding portion 43 .
[0072] In addition, the upper edge plate 41 has a first vent 42 for ventilation of the inside and outside of the cover member 40. The first vent 42 is provided at an edge portion 41a. Specifically, the first vent 42 is formed by cutting off the middle portion of an edge portion 41a along the edge portion 41a. The first vent 42 is an elongated rectangle and is provided at both sides of the protrusion 43 in the upper edge plate 41. The first vent 42 is provided directly above the terminal 405. In the said opposite direction, the first vent 42 is spaced 700 (refer to Figure 6 ) For example, 2 to 4 mm.
[0073] Hereinafter, mounting of relay 400 in electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment will be described.
[0074] The operator inserts the cover member 40 (opposing plate 44) between the end portion 216a and the clamping column 218 from the lower end of the opposing plate 44. When the opposing plate 44 moves between the end portion 216a and the clamping column 218, the force applying portion 218a of the clamping column 218 presses the opposing plate 44 toward the end portion 216a (see Figure 6Therefore, the facing plate 44 moves downward while being in contact with the inner side surface of the end portion 216a. That is, the engaging protrusion 45 on the front side of the facing plate 44 moves while being in contact with the end portion 216a, and when the engaging protrusion 45 reaches the position of the notch 217 of the end portion 216a, it enters the notch 217, as shown in FIG. Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, it engages with the notch 217.
[0075] When the engagement protrusion 45 is engaged with the notch 217, the lower surface of the other edge portion 41b of the upper edge plate 41 abuts against the upper end surface of the end portion 216a (see Figure 6 In addition, at this time, the lower surfaces of both ends of the upper edge plate 41 in the longitudinal direction also abut against the upper end surface of the plate portion adjacent to the rectangular plate portion 216 (end 216a) (see Figure 3 ).
[0076] Thus, the facing plate 44 is clamped and held by the clamping mechanism 215 (the end portion 216a and the clamping column 218). That is, the cover member 40 is prevented from moving upward by the engagement of the engagement protrusion 45 with the notch 217, and the cover member 40 is prevented from moving downward by the contact between the lower surface of the other edge portion 41b and the upper end surface of the end portion 216a. Both ends of the facing plate 44 in the lateral direction are clamped by the clamping mechanism 215, respectively.
[0077] It should be noted that when removing the cover part 40, the operator unlocks the engagement between the engagement protrusion 45 and the notch 217 by pressing the engagement protrusion 45 toward the side 401 of the relay 400, and then pulls the cover part 40 upward from between the end 216a and the clamping column 218.
[0078] When the power is turned on, a large current flows through the relay 400, so if the operator's finger touches the terminal 405, there is a possibility of electric shock. In contrast, as described above, the electrical connection box 100 of the first embodiment has the cover member 40, and the cover member 40 blocks the gap 600 between the facing plate 44 and the one side 401 of the relay 400. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the fingertip from entering the gap 600 and causing an electric shock.
[0079] As described above, since a large current flows through the relay 400, heat is generated at the relay 400 and the contact portion of the relay 400 (the contact portion of the terminal 405 and the bus bar 500). The air in the cover member 40 takes heat from the relay 400 and the contact portion of the relay 400 and rises (see Figure 6 hollow arrowhead).
[0080] However, when the cover member 40 blocks the gap 600, the air that has absorbed the heat generated in the relay 400 and the contact portion of the relay 400 and has become high temperature is not released to the outside of the cover member 40, and the heat is easily retained in the cover member 40. When the cover member 40 is filled with heat, the cover member 40 and the resin parts around the cover member 40 melt and lose insulation, which may cause a short circuit or other problems.
[0081] In contrast, in the electrical junction box 100 of the first embodiment, the first vent 42 is provided in the cover member 40, so that ventilation can be provided inside and outside the cover member 40. Through such ventilation, the heat generated in the relay 400 and the contact portion of the relay 400 is dissipated to the outside of the cover member 40 and does not stay inside the cover member 40, so that the occurrence of an adverse situation caused by heat staying inside the cover member 40 can be prevented before it occurs.
[0082] In the electrical connection box 100 of the first embodiment, as described above, the first vent 42 is provided just above the contact portion (terminal 405) of the relay 400. That is, the first vent 42 is provided on the moving path of the high-temperature air. Therefore, the first vent 42 can quickly discharge the high-temperature air to the outside of the cover member 40.
[0083] Furthermore, since the interval 700 between the first vent 42 and the surface 401 of the relay 400 is 2 to 4 mm, the fingertips of a person will not enter the gap 600 from the first vent 42. Therefore, the inside and outside of the cover member 40 can be ventilated and the above-mentioned anti-electric shock effect can be ensured. That is, in the electrical connection box 100 of the first embodiment, it is possible to take into account both the prevention of the occurrence of the adverse situation caused by the exposure of the contact portion of the relay 400 and the prevention of the occurrence of the adverse situation caused by the heat retention in the cover member 40.
[0084] In the above, the case where the first ventilation port 42 is provided in one edge portion 41 a is described as an example, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the same effect as described above can be obtained as long as the first ventilation port 42 is provided in the upper edge plate 41 .
[0085] In the upper edge plate 41 , one first vent 42 is provided on each side of the convex portion 43 , but the present invention is not limited thereto. The first vent 42 may be provided at a plurality of locations on each side of the convex portion 43 . (Implementation method 2)
[0086] In the electrical junction box 100 of the first embodiment, the ventilation holes are provided only in the one edge portion 41 a of the upper edge plate 41 , but the electrical junction box 100 of the second embodiment also has ventilation holes in locations other than the one edge portion 41 a of the upper edge plate 41 .
[0087] Fig.10 4 is a perspective view showing the cover member 40 of the electrical connection box 100 according to the second embodiment. In the electrical connection box 100 according to the second embodiment, as in the first embodiment, a first vent 42 is provided at one edge portion 41a of the upper edge plate 41 and directly above the terminal 405 (see FIG. Figure 6 ). In addition, in the electrical junction box 100 according to the second embodiment, the cover member 40 further includes a second vent 48 in the upper edge plate 41 .
[0088] The second vent 48 is a circular through hole that penetrates the upper edge plate 41 inside and outside, and is formed at a position separated from the one edge portion 41a. In the upper edge plate 41, three second vents 48 are formed on both sides of the convex portion 43. The three second vents 48 are formed on the upper edge plate 41 between the one edge portion 41a and the other edge portion 41b, and are arranged at intervals in the length direction of the upper edge plate 41.
[0089] As described above, the electrical connection box 100 of the second embodiment has a first vent 42 formed at an edge portion 41a of the upper edge plate 41 and directly above the terminal 405. Similar to the first embodiment, the heat generated by the relay 400 and the heat generated at the contact portion of the relay 400 are rapidly dissipated to the outside of the cover member 40 and will not be retained on the inside of the cover member 40. Therefore, the occurrence of adverse conditions caused by heat retention in the cover member 40 can be prevented before it occurs.
[0090] Furthermore, the electrical junction box 100 of the second embodiment has the second vent 48 in the upper edge plate 41 in addition to the first vent 42 as described above. Therefore, the cover member 40 can discharge the heat generated by the relay 400 and the contact portion of the relay 400 to the outside of the cover member 40 more quickly through the first vent 42 and the second vent 48.
[0091] In the above, the second vent 48 is described as a circular through hole, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The second vent 48 may be, for example, triangular, rectangular, oval, or rectangular.
[0092] In the above, the case where three second vents 48 are formed on both sides of the convex portion 43 in the upper edge plate 41 is described as an example, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The number of the second vents 48 may be more than three or less than three.
[0093] The same parts as those in Embodiment 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted. (Implementation method 3)
[0094] In the electrical junction box 100 of the first embodiment, the case where the vent is provided only in the upper edge plate 41 is described as an example, but the electrical junction box 100 of the third embodiment also has vents in positions other than the upper edge plate 41 .
[0095] Fig.11 1 is a perspective view showing the cover member 40 of the electrical connection box 100 according to the third embodiment. In the electrical connection box 100 according to the third embodiment, as in the first embodiment, a first vent 42 is provided at one edge portion 41a of the upper edge plate 41 and directly above the terminal 405. In addition, in the electrical connection box 100 according to the third embodiment, the cover member 40 further has a third vent 49 at the facing plate 44.
[0096] The third vent 49 is a slit-shaped through hole that penetrates the facing plate 44 from inside to outside and extends in the longitudinal direction. In the facing plate 44, one third vent 49 is formed on each side of the middle portion 46. Each third vent 49 is formed in the facing plate 44 between the middle portion 46 and the engaging protrusion 45 and close to the middle portion 46. The dimension of the third vent 49 in the lateral direction (hereinafter referred to as the width) is approximately 2 to 4 mm.
[0097] As described above, the electrical connection box 100 of the third embodiment has a first vent 42 formed at an edge portion 41a of the upper edge plate 41 and directly above the terminal 405.
[0098] Furthermore, the electrical junction box 100 of the third embodiment is provided with the third vent 49 in the facing plate 44 in addition to the first vent 42 as described above. External air easily flows into the cover member 40 through the third vent 49, takes heat from the relay 400 and the contact portion of the relay 400 and rises, and is discharged to the outside of the cover member 40 from the first vent 42. Therefore, in the electrical junction box 100 of the third embodiment, compared with the case where the third vent 49 is not formed in the facing plate 44, the circulation of air ventilated inside and outside the cover member 40 is shortened, and the heat dissipation efficiency can be improved.
[0099] Furthermore, in the electrical connection box 100 of the third embodiment, as described above, the width of the third vent 49 is 2 to 4 mm, so that the fingertips of a person do not enter the gap 600 through the third vent 49. Therefore, the third vent 49 can ventilate the inside and outside of the cover member 40 and prevent the fingertips of a person from contacting the terminal 405 (bolt 300) of the relay 400 or the bus bar 500.
[0100] In the above, the third vent 49 is described as a slit-shaped case, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The third vent 49 may be, for example, triangular, rectangular, or oval.
[0101] In the above description, the case where one third vent 49 is formed on each side of the middle portion 46 in the facing plate 44 is described as an example, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, a plurality of third vents 49 may be formed on each side of the middle portion 46 .
[0102] In the above, the third vent 49 is formed in the portion between the middle portion 46 and the engaging protrusion 45 and close to the middle portion 46 as an example, but the present invention is not limited thereto. When the cover member 40 is installed, the third vent 49 can be formed in a position that does not overlap with the end portion 216a of the mounting seat 213 and is not blocked by the end portion 216a.
[0103] The same parts as those in Embodiment 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted. (Implementation method 4)
[0104] In the electrical junction box 100 according to the first embodiment, the case where the first vent 42 is rectangular is described as an example, but the electrical junction box 100 according to the fourth embodiment has a first vent 42A having a shape different from that of the first vent 42 .
[0105] Fig.12 1 is a perspective view showing the cover member 40 of the electrical connection box 100 according to the fourth embodiment. As described above, in the electrical connection box 100 according to the fourth embodiment, the first vent 42A is formed in the cover member 40. The first vent 42A is provided at the same position as the first vent 42 of the first embodiment, that is, at one edge portion 41a of the upper edge plate 41 and directly above the terminal 405, and penetrates the upper edge plate 41 inside and outside. In the upper edge plate 41, the first vent 42A is formed on both sides of the convex portion 43.
[0106] However, the first vent 42A has a shape different from that of the first vent 42 of Embodiment 1. Each first vent 42A is in a comb shape that opens toward the other edge portion 41b. In detail, each first vent 42A has a comb base 421A formed by cutting the middle portion in the longitudinal direction of one edge portion 41a into an elongated rectangle along one edge portion 41a, and an elongated comb tooth portion 422A extending from the comb base 421A toward the other edge portion 41b. The comb base 421A is formed in the same shape as the first vent 42 of the electrical connection box 100 of Embodiment 1. The comb tooth portions 422A are formed at multiple locations at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction of the comb base 421A. The size of the comb tooth portion 422A in the parallel direction (hereinafter referred to as the width) is approximately 2 to 4 mm.
[0107] As described above, the electrical junction box 100 of the fourth embodiment has the first vent 42A formed at one edge portion 41a of the upper edge plate 41 and directly above the terminal 405, so that the heat generated by the relay 400 and the heat generated at the contact portion of the relay 400 are rapidly dissipated to the outside of the cover member 40. Therefore, the heat does not stay inside the cover member 40, and the occurrence of an adverse situation caused by the heat staying inside the cover member 40 can be prevented before it occurs.
[0108] Moreover, the first vent 42A of the electrical connection box 100 of the fourth embodiment is in a comb shape that is open toward the other edge portion 41b as described above. In other words, in the electrical connection box 100 of the fourth embodiment, in addition to the comb base portion 421A corresponding to the first vent 42 involved in the first embodiment, a plurality of comb teeth 422A are formed on the upper edge plate 41. Therefore, the cover member 40 can discharge the heat generated by the relay 400 and the contact portion of the relay 400 more quickly to the outside of the cover member 40 via the comb base portion 421A and the comb teeth 422A.
[0109] Furthermore, in the electrical connection box 100 of the fourth embodiment, as described above, the width of the comb-tooth portion 422A of the first vent 42A is 2 to 4 mm, so that the fingertips of a person do not enter the gap 600 from the first vent 42A. Therefore, the first vent 42A can ventilate the inside and outside of the cover member 40 and prevent the fingertips of a person from contacting the terminal 405 (bolt 300) of the relay 400 or the bus bar 500.
[0110] The same parts as those in Embodiment 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
