Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present specification relates to a compound and an organic light-emitting device including the same.
[0002] This application claims priority to and the benefit of Korean Patent Application Nos. 10-2023-0036948 and 10-2024-0038563 filed on March 21, 2023 and March 20, 2024, respectively, in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Background Art
[0003] The organic light-emitting phenomenon generally refers to the phenomenon of converting electrical energy into light energy using organic materials. An organic light-emitting device utilizing the organic light-emitting phenomenon generally has a structure including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an organic material layer therebetween. Here, in many cases, the organic material layer has a multilayer structure composed of different materials to improve the efficiency and stability of the organic light-emitting device, and for example, the organic material layer may be composed of a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, a light-emitting layer, an electron transport layer, an electron injection layer, and the like. In the structure of such an organic light-emitting device, if a voltage is applied between the two electrodes, holes are injected into the organic material layer from the positive electrode and electrons are injected into the organic material layer from the negative electrode, and when the injected holes and electrons meet each other, excitons are formed, and light is emitted when the excitons fall back to the ground state again.
[0004] There is a continuing need to develop new materials for the aforementioned organic light-emitting devices.
