Abstract
Description
[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0002] This application claims the benefit of U.S. patent application No. 17 / 808,184, filed on June 22, 2022, entitled “SEMI-STATIC AND DYNAMIC SUBBAND CONFIGURATION,” which is expressly incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. Technical Field
[0003] Aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to wireless communication systems, and more particularly to full-duplex communications. Certain features enable and provide improved communications, including sub-band full-duplex configurations for wireless communications. Background Art
[0004] Wireless communication networks are widely deployed to provide various communication services such as voice, video, packet data, messaging, broadcast, etc. These wireless networks may be multiple-access networks capable of supporting multiple users by sharing the available network resources. Such networks may be multiple-access networks capable of supporting communication for multiple users by sharing the available network resources.
[0005] A wireless communication network may include several components. These components may include wireless communication devices, such as a base station (or Node B) that may support communication for several user equipments (UEs). A UE may communicate with a base station via a downlink and an uplink. A downlink (or forward link) refers to a communication link from a base station to a UE, and an uplink (or reverse link) refers to a communication link from a UE to a base station.
[0006] The base station may send data and control information to the UE on the downlink, or receive data and control information from the UE on the uplink. On the downlink, the transmission from the base station may encounter interference caused by transmissions from neighboring base stations or other wireless radio frequency (RF) transmitters. On the uplink, the transmission from the UE may encounter interference from other UEs communicating with neighboring base stations or from uplink transmissions of other wireless RF transmitters. This interference may degrade performance on both the downlink and uplink.
[0007] As the demand for mobile broadband access continues to grow, the potential for interference and congested networks grows with more UEs accessing long-range wireless communication networks and more short-range wireless systems deployed in communities. Research and development continues to advance wireless technologies to not only meet the growing demand for mobile broadband access, but also to improve and enhance the user experience with mobile communications.
[0008] Full-duplex mode, in which one or more wireless communication devices simultaneously transmit and receive on the same time slot, can be used to promote various efficiencies in wireless communication, such as enhancing capacity, resource utilization, or spectral efficiency. However, full-duplex mode implementations often introduce problems with various forms of interference and clutter. For example, a wireless communication device operating in full-duplex mode may experience self-interference from its signal transmission to its signal reception. In addition, a wireless communication device that transmits and / or receives signals according to a full-duplex mode implementation may experience clutter associated with full-duplex communication (e.g., received reflection instances of a transmitted signal). Full-duplex communication may therefore present challenges in achieving the desired efficiency in any particular implementation. Summary of the invention

[0036] The "Detailed Description" set forth below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings is intended as a description of various configurations and is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. Rather, the "Detailed Description" includes specific details for providing a thorough understanding of the subject matter of the present invention. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that these specific details are not required in every case, and in some instances, well-known structures and components are shown in block diagram form for clarity of presentation.
[0037] The present disclosure provides systems, devices, methods and computer-readable media that support sub-band full-duplex configuration for wireless communication. When supporting sub-band full-duplex operation according to some examples, semi-static configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands and one or more guard bands can be implemented via radio resource control (RRC) signaling configured for sub-band full-duplex communication. RRC signaling may, for example, include sub-band frequency configuration mode information used in implementing semi-static sub-band full-duplex communication and sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information. In supporting sub-band full-duplex operation according to further examples, the dynamic configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands and one or more guard bands may be implemented by RRC signaling in combination with medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) and / or downlink control information (DCI) signaling. RRC signaling may, for example, include using multiple sub-band frequency configuration modes for sub-band full-duplex operation and multiple sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration modes to pre-configure sub-band frequency configuration mode information used in wireless communication devices and sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information. MAC-CE and / or DCI signaling may select and / or activate one or more sub-band frequency configuration modes among a plurality of sub-band frequency configuration modes and one or more sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration modes among a plurality of sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration modes used in implementing dynamic sub-band full-duplex communication. According to various aspects of the present disclosure, signaling (e.g., RRC signaling, MAC-CE signaling, and / or DCI signaling) for configuring user sub-band full-duplex communication for sub-band full-duplex communication may include sub-band full-duplex time slot periodicity information for sub-band full-duplex communication. Signaling configured for sub-band full-duplex communication may additionally or alternatively include sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information for sub-band full-duplex communication.
[0038] Specific implementations of the subject matter described in the present disclosure may be implemented to achieve one or more of the following potential advantages or benefits. In some aspects, the present disclosure provides a technique for sub-band full-duplex for wireless communication, which provides a sub-band full-duplex configuration for mitigating or avoiding problems with various forms of interference and clutter. Semi-static sub-band full-duplex configurations and / or dynamic sub-band full-duplex configurations according to examples of the present disclosure may be selectively implemented to enable and provide improved communications with respect to specific situations, communication environments, channel conditions, etc. Specific implementations of sub-band full-duplex configurations according to the concepts of the present disclosure provide increased uplink duty cycles, resulting in reduced latency (e.g., downlink signals may be received in time slots that were originally specified as uplink-only time slots by time slot format information, which may achieve latency savings), improved uplink coverage, etc. Additionally or alternatively, specific implementations of sub-band full-duplex configurations according to the concepts of this document provide enhanced system capacity, resource utilization, and / or spectral efficiency, and implement flexible and dynamic uplink / downlink resource adaptation according to uplink / downlink traffic in a robust manner, etc.
[0039] The present disclosure as a whole relates to providing or participating in authorized shared access between two or more wireless communication devices in one or more wireless communication systems (also referred to as wireless communication networks). In various specific implementations, various techniques and devices can be used in wireless communication networks, such as code division multiple access (CDMA) networks, time division multiple access (TDMA) networks, frequency division multiple access (FDMA) networks, orthogonal FDMA (OFDMA) networks, single carrier FDMA (SC-FDMA) networks, LTE networks, GSM networks, fifth generation (5G) or new radio (NR) networks (sometimes referred to as "5G NR" networks, systems or devices) and other communication networks. As described herein, the terms "network" and "system" can be used interchangeably.
[0040] A CDMA network may implement, for example, a radio technology such as Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA), cdma2000, etc. UTRA includes Wideband-CDMA (W-CDMA) and Low Chip Rate (LCR). CDMA2000 covers IS-2000, IS-95, and IS-856 standards.
[0041] For example, a TDMA network may implement a radio technology such as the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). The Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) defines the standards for the GSM EDGE (Enhanced Data Rate GSM Evolution) Radio Access Network (RAN) (also known as GERAN). GERAN is the radio component of the network of GSM / EDGE together with connecting base stations (e.g., Ater and Abis interfaces) and base station controllers (A interfaces, etc.). The radio access network represents a component of the GSM network through which telephone calls and packet data are routed from the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and the Internet to subscriber phones (also known as user terminals or user equipment (UE)) and from subscriber phones to the PSTN and the Internet. The network of a mobile phone operator may include one or more GERANs, which may be coupled to the UTRAN in the case of a UMTS / GSM network. Additionally, the operator network may also include one or more LTE networks, or one or more other networks. Various network types may use different radio access technologies (RATs) and RANs.
[0042] OFDMA network can implement radio technology such as Evolved UTRA (E-UTRA), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11, IEEE 802.16, IEEE 802.20, flash-OFDM, etc. UTRA, E-UTRA and GSM are part of Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS). Specifically, Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a UMTS version using E-UTRA. UTRA, E-UTRA, GSM, UMTS and LTE are described in documents provided by an organization named "3rd Generation Partnership Project" (3GPP), and cdma2000 is described in documents from an organization named "3rd Generation Partnership Project 2" (3GPP2). These various radio technologies and standards are known or under development. For example, 3GPP is a collaboration between telecommunications association groups to define a globally applicable third generation (3G) mobile phone specification. 3GPP LTE is a 3GPP plan to improve the UMTS mobile phone standard. 3GPP can define the specifications of next generation mobile networks, mobile systems and mobile devices. The present disclosure may describe certain aspects with reference to LTE, 4G or 5G NR technology; however, the description is not intended to be limited to a particular technology or application, and one or more aspects described with reference to one technology may be understood to be applicable to another technology. Additionally, one or more aspects of the present disclosure may relate to shared access to wireless spectrum between networks using different radio access technologies or radio air interfaces.
[0043] 5G networks are expected to have diverse deployments, diverse spectrum, and diverse services and devices that can be implemented using a unified air interface based on OFDM. To achieve these goals, in addition to developing new radio technologies for 5G NR networks, further enhancements to LTE and LTE-A are also being considered. 5G NR will be able to scale to provide coverage (1) to massive Internet of Things (IoT), with ultra-high density (e.g., about 1M nodes / km 2 ), ultra-low complexity (e.g., about 10s of bits / sec), ultra-low power consumption (e.g., about 10+ years of battery life), and deep coverage with the ability to reach challenging locations; (2) including mission-critical control with strong security to protect sensitive personal, financial, or classified information, ultra-high reliability (e.g., about 99.9999% reliability), ultra-low latency (e.g., about 1 millisecond (ms)), and users with a wide range of mobility or lack of mobility; and (3) providing services with enhanced mobile broadband (including extremely high capacity (e.g., about 10Tbps / km 2 ), coverage of extremely high data rates (e.g., multi-Gbps rates, 100+Mbps user experience rates), and deep awareness with advanced discovery and optimization).
[0044] Devices, networks, and systems may be configured to communicate via one or more portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The electromagnetic spectrum is typically subdivided into various categories, bands, channels, etc. based on frequency / wavelength. In 5G NR, two initial operating bands have been identified as frequency ranges designated FR1 (410 MHz-7.125 GHz) and FR2 (24.25 GHz-52.6 GHz). Frequencies between FR1 and FR2 are typically referred to as mid-band frequencies. Although a portion of FR1 is greater than 6 GHz, FR1 is often referred to (interchangeably) as the "below 6 GHz" band in various documents and articles. Similar naming issues sometimes arise for FR2, which is often (interchangeably) referred to as the "millimeter wave" (mmWave) band in documents and articles, although it is different from the extremely high frequency (EHF) band (30 GHz-300 GHz) identified as the "mmWave" band by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
[0045] In view of the above aspects, unless otherwise specifically stated, it should be understood that if the term "below 6 GHz" or the like is used herein, it can broadly represent frequencies that can be less than 6 GHz, can be within FR1, or can include mid-band frequencies. In addition, unless otherwise specifically stated, it should be understood that if used herein, the term "mmWave" or the like can broadly represent frequencies that can include mid-band frequencies, can be within FR2, or can be within the EHF band.
[0046] 5G NR devices, networks, and systems can be implemented using optimized OFDM-based waveform features. These features may include scalable parameter sets and transmit time intervals (TTIs); a common flexible framework that efficiently multiplexes services and features using dynamic, low-latency time division duplex (TDD) designs or frequency division duplex (FDD) designs; and advanced wireless technologies such as massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), robust mmWave transmission, advanced channel decoding, and device-centric mobility. The scalability of parameter sets in 5G NR and the scaling of subcarrier spacing can effectively address the operation of various services across different spectrums and different deployments. For example, in various outdoor and macro coverage deployments of less than 3GHz FDD or TDD implementations, the subcarrier spacing may appear at 15kHz, such as over bandwidths of 1MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz, 20MHz, etc. For various other outdoor and small cell coverage deployments with TDD greater than 3GHz, the subcarrier spacing may appear at 30kHz over 80MHz / 100MHz bandwidth. For various other indoor broadband implementations, using TDD on the unlicensed portion of the 5GHz band, the subcarrier spacing may occur at 60kHz over a 160MHz bandwidth. Finally, for various deployments transmitting over mmWave components at 28GHz TDD, the subcarrier spacing may occur at 120kHz over a 500MHz bandwidth.
[0047] 5G NR's scalable parameter sets facilitate scalable TTIs for diverse latency and quality of service (QoS) requirements. For example, shorter TTIs can be used for low latency and high reliability, while longer TTIs can be used for higher spectral efficiency. Efficient multiplexing of long and short TTIs allows transmission to start on symbol boundaries. 5G NR also anticipates a self-contained integrated subframe design where uplink or downlink scheduling information, data, and acknowledgments are in the same subframe. The self-contained integrated subframe supports communications in unlicensed or contention-based shared spectrum, and adaptive uplink or downlink can be flexibly configured on a per-cell basis to dynamically switch between uplink and downlink to meet current business needs.
[0048] For clarity, certain aspects of the devices and techniques may be described below with reference to example 5G NR implementations or in a 5G-centric manner, and 5G terminology may be used as illustrative examples in portions of the description below; however, the description is not intended to be limited to 5G applications.
[0049] Furthermore, it should be understood that in operation, a wireless communication network adapted according to the concepts herein can operate using any combination of licensed spectrum or unlicensed spectrum depending on load and availability. Therefore, it will be apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art that the systems, devices, and methods described herein can be applied to other communication systems and applications beyond the specific examples provided.
[0050] Although various aspects and specific implementations are described in this application by the illustration of some examples, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that additional specific implementations and use cases may be generated in many other arrangements and scenarios. The innovation described herein can be implemented across many different platform types, devices, systems, shapes, sizes, and packaging arrangements. For example, specific implementation or use can be implemented via integrated chip specific implementation or other devices based on non-module components (e.g., end-user devices, vehicles, communication equipment, computing equipment, industrial equipment, retail equipment or purchasing equipment, medical equipment, AI-enabled devices, etc.). Although some examples may or may not specifically point to use cases or applications, the applicability of various types of described innovations may occur. The scope of specific implementation can range from chip-level or modular components to non-modular, non-chip-level specific implementations, and further to aggregated, distributed or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) devices or systems containing one or more described aspects. In some practical environments, the equipment in combination with the various aspects and features described may also necessarily include additional components and features for implementing and practicing the various aspects claimed and described. It is intended that the innovations described herein may be implemented in a wide variety of embodiments of different sizes, shapes, and configurations, including both large and small devices, chip-level components, multi-component systems (e.g., radio frequency (RF) chains, communication interfaces, processors), distributed arrangements, end-user devices, and the like.
[0051] Figure 1 1 is a block diagram illustrating details of an example wireless communication system according to one or more aspects. The wireless communication system may include a wireless network 100. The wireless network 100 may, for example, include a 5G wireless network. As will be appreciated by those skilled in the art, Figure 1 Components appearing in are likely to have related corresponding components in other network arrangements (including, for example, cellular-style network arrangements and non-cellular-style network arrangements (e.g., device-to-device or peer-to-peer or ad hoc network arrangements, etc.)).
[0052] Figure 1The illustrated wireless network 100 includes many base stations 105 and other network entities. A base station may be a station that communicates with a UE, and may also be referred to as an evolved Node B (eNB), a next generation eNB (gNB), an access point, etc. Each base station 105 may provide communication coverage for a specific geographic area. In 3GPP, the term "cell" may refer to a specific geographic coverage area of a base station or a base station subsystem serving the coverage area, depending on the context in which the term is used. In the specific implementation of the wireless network 100 herein, the base station 105 may be associated with the same operator or different operators (e.g., the wireless network 100 may include multiple operator wireless networks). Additionally, in the specific implementation of the wireless network 100 herein, the base station 105 may provide wireless communication using one or more frequencies (e.g., one or more frequency bands in a licensed spectrum, an unlicensed spectrum, or a combination thereof) in the same frequency as an adjacent cell. In some examples, a separate base station 105 or UE 115 may be operated by more than one network operating entity. In other examples, each base station 105 and UE 115 may be operated by a single network operating entity.
[0053] A base station may provide communication coverage for a macro cell or a small cell (e.g., a pico cell or a femto cell) or other type of cell. A macro cell generally covers a relatively large geographic area (e.g., several kilometers in radius) and may allow unrestricted access by UEs with a service subscription with a network provider. Small cells (such as pico cells) will generally cover a relatively small geographic area and may allow unrestricted access by UEs with a service subscription with a network provider. Small cells (such as femto cells) will generally also cover a relatively small geographic area (e.g., a home) and, in addition to unrestricted access, may also provide restricted access by UEs associated with the femto cell (e.g., UEs in a closed subscriber group (CSG), UEs of users in a home, etc.). A base station for a macro cell may be referred to as a macro base station. A base station for a small cell may be referred to as a small cell base station, a pico base station, a femto base station, or a home base station. In Figure 1 In the example shown, base stations 105d and 105e are conventional macro base stations, while base stations 105a-105c are macro base stations implemented using one of 3-dimensional (3D), full-dimensional (FD) or massive MIMO. Base stations 105a-105c use their higher-dimensional MIMO capabilities to employ 3D beamforming in elevation and azimuth beamforming to increase coverage and capacity. Base station 105f is a small cell base station, which can be a home node or a portable access point. The base station can support one or more (e.g., two, three, four, etc.) cells.
[0054] Wireless network 100 may support synchronous or asynchronous operation. For synchronous operation, base stations may have similar frame timings, and transmissions from different base stations may be approximately aligned in time. For asynchronous operation, base stations may have different frame timings, and transmissions from different base stations may not be aligned in time. In some cases, the network may be enabled or configured to handle dynamic switching between synchronous or asynchronous operation.
[0055] UE 115 is dispersed throughout the wireless network 100, and each UE may be stationary or mobile. It should be understood that, although in the standards and specifications promulgated by 3GPP, mobile devices are generally referred to as UEs, such devices may be additionally or otherwise referred to as mobile stations (MS), subscriber stations, mobile units, subscriber units, wireless units, remote units, mobile devices, wireless devices, wireless communication devices, remote devices, mobile subscriber stations, access terminals (AT), mobile terminals, wireless terminals, remote terminals, mobile phones, terminals, user agents, mobile clients, clients, gaming devices, augmented reality devices, vehicle components, vehicle devices or vehicle modules or some other suitable terminology by those skilled in the art. In this document, a "mobile" device or UE does not necessarily have the ability to move and may be fixed. Some non-limiting examples of mobile devices (for example) may include one or more specific implementations of UE 115, including mobile phones, cellular phones, smart phones, session initiation protocol (SIP) phones, wireless local loop (WLL) stations, laptops, personal computers (PCs), notebooks, netbooks, smart books, tablet computers, and personal digital assistants (PDAs). The mobile device may additionally be an IoT or "Internet of Everything" (IoE) device, such as a car or other transportation vehicle, a satellite radio, a global positioning system (GPS) device, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) device, a logistics controller, a drone, a multi-rotor helicopter, a quad-rotor helicopter, a smart energy or security device, a solar panel or solar array, city lighting, tap water or other infrastructure; industrial automation and enterprise equipment; consumer and wearable devices, such as glasses, wearable cameras, smart watches, health or fitness trackers, mammal implantable devices, gesture tracking devices, medical devices, digital audio players (e.g., MP3 players), cameras, game consoles, etc.; and digital home or smart home devices, such as home audio, video and multimedia devices, appliances, sensors, vending machines, smart lighting, home security systems, smart meters, etc. In one aspect, a UE may be a device including a universal integrated circuit card (UICC). In another aspect, a UE may be a device that does not include a UICC. In some aspects, a UE that does not include a UICC may also be referred to as an IoE device. Figure 1The UE 115a-115d of the specific implementation illustrated in the figure are examples of mobile smart phone type devices accessing the wireless network 100. The UE may also be a machine specially configured for connected communications (including machine type communications (MTC), enhanced MTC (eMTC), narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), etc.). Figure 1 The illustrated UEs 115e - 115k are examples of various machines that access the wireless network 100 and are configured for communication.
[0056] A mobile device, such as UE 115, may be able to communicate with any type of base station, whether macro, pico, femto, relay, etc. Figure 1 In the figure, the communication link (represented as a lightning ball) indicates the wireless transmission between the UE and the serving base station (which is a base station designated to serve the UE on the downlink or uplink) or the expected transmission between the base stations and the backhaul transmission between the base stations. The UE can operate as a base station or other network node in some scenarios. The backhaul communication between the base stations of the wireless network 100 can be carried out using wired or wireless communication links.
[0057] In operation, at the wireless network 100, base stations 105a-105c use 3D beamforming and collaborative spatial techniques (e.g., coordinated multipoint (CoMP) or multi-connectivity) to serve UEs 115a and 115b. Macro base station 105d performs backhaul communications with base stations 105a-105c and small cells (base station 105f). Macro base station 105d also transmits multicast services that are subscribed to and received by UEs 115c and 115d. Such multicast services may include mobile TV or streaming video, or may include other services for providing community information, such as weather emergencies or alerts, such as Amber alerts or gray alerts.
[0058] The wireless network 100 of the specific implementation supports mission critical communications with ultra-reliable and redundant links for mission critical devices such as UE 115e as drones. The redundant communication links with UE 115e include links from macro base stations 105d and 105e and small cell base station 105f. Other machine type devices such as UE 115f (thermometer), UE 115g (smart meter) and UE 115h (wearable device) can communicate directly with base stations such as small cell base station 105f and macro base station 105e through the wireless network 100, or in a multi-hop configuration by communicating with another user device that relays its information to the network, such as UE 115f communicating temperature measurement information to smart meter UE 115g, which then reports it to the network through small cell base station 105f. The wireless network 100 may also provide additional network efficiency through dynamic, low-latency TDD communications or low-latency FDD communications (eg, in a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) mesh network between UEs 115i-115k communicating with a macro base station 105e).
[0059] Figure 2 1 is a block diagram illustrating an example of a base station 105 and a UE 115 according to one or more aspects. The base station 105 and the UE 115 may be Figure 1 For a restricted association scenario (as described above), base station 105 may be any one of the base stations in the UE and one of the UEs. Figure 1 The small cell base station 105f in the example of FIG. 105 and the UE 115 may be a UE 115c or 115d operating in the service area of the base station 105f, which will be included in the list of accessible UEs of the small cell base station 105f in order to access the small cell base station 105f. The base station 105 may also be some other type of base station. Figure 2 As shown in FIG. 1 , the base station 105 may be equipped with antennas 234a through 234t and the UE 115 may be equipped with antennas 252a through 252r for facilitating wireless communication.
[0060] At the base station 105, the transmit processor 220 may receive data from the data source 212 and control information from the controller 240 (such as a processor). The control information may be for a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), a physical control format indicator channel (PCFICH), a physical hybrid ARQ (automatic repeat request) indicator channel (PHICH), a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), an enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH), an MTC physical downlink control channel (MPDCCH), etc. The data may be for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), etc. Additionally, the transmit processor 220 may process (e.g., encode and symbol map) the data and the control information, respectively, to obtain data symbols and control symbols. The transmit processor 220 may also generate reference symbols, such as for a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), and a cell-specific reference signal. The transmit (TX) MIMO processor 230 may perform spatial processing (e.g., pre-coding) on data symbols, control symbols, or reference symbols, if applicable, and may provide an output symbol stream to modulators (MODs) 232a to 232t. For example, the spatial processing performed on the data symbols, control symbols, or reference symbols may include pre-coding. Each modulator 232 may process a corresponding output symbol stream (e.g., for OFDM, etc.) to obtain an output sample stream. Additionally or alternatively, each modulator 232 may process the output sample stream (e.g., analog-convert, amplify, filter, and up-convert it) to obtain a downlink signal. The downlink signals from modulators 232a to 232t may be transmitted via antennas 234a to 234t, respectively.
[0061] At the UE 115, antennas 252a to 252r may receive downlink signals from the base station 105 and may provide received signals to demodulators (DEMODs) 254a to 254r, respectively. Each demodulator 254 may condition (e.g., filter, amplify, downconvert, and digitize) a corresponding received signal to obtain input samples. Each demodulator 254 may further process the input samples (e.g., for OFDM, etc.) to obtain received symbols. The MIMO detector 256 may obtain received symbols from the demodulators 254a to 254r, perform MIMO detection on the received symbols when necessary, and provide detected symbols. The receive processor 258 may process (e.g., demodulate, deinterleave, and decode) the detected symbols, provide decoded data for the UE 115 to the data sink 260, and provide decoded control information to the controller 280 (e.g., a processor).
[0062] On the uplink, at the UE 115, the transmit processor 264 may receive and process data from a data source 262 (e.g., for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH)) and control information from a controller 280 (e.g., for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH)). Additionally, the transmit processor 264 may also generate reference symbols for reference signals. The symbols from the transmit processor 264 may be pre-decoded by the TX MIMO processor 266, if necessary, further processed by the modulators 254a through 254r (e.g., for SC-FDM, etc.), and transmitted to the base station 105. At the base station 105, the uplink signal from the UE 115 may be received by the antenna 234, processed by the demodulator 232, detected by the MIMO detector 236, if necessary, and further processed by the receive processor 238 to obtain decoded data and control information transmitted by the UE 115. Receive processor 238 may provide the decoded data to a data sink 239 and the decoded control information to controller 240 .
[0063] The controllers 240 and 280 may direct the operation at the base station 105 and the UE 115, respectively. The controller 240 or other processors and modules at the base station 105 or the controller 280 or other processors and modules at the UE 115 may perform or direct the performance of various processes for the techniques described herein, such as performing or directing Fig. 9 and Fig.11 The execution shown, or performing or directing the execution of other processes for the techniques described herein. Memories 242 and 282 may store data and program codes for base station 105 and UE 115, respectively. Scheduler 244 may schedule UEs for data transmission on a downlink or uplink.
[0064] In some cases, the UE 115 and the base station 105 may operate in a shared radio spectrum band, which may include licensed or unlicensed (e.g., contention-based) spectrum. In the unlicensed frequency portion of the shared radio spectrum band, the UE 115 or the base station 105 may traditionally perform a medium sensing procedure to compete for access to the spectrum. For example, the UE 115 or the base station 105 may perform a listen-before-talk or listen-before-send (LBT) procedure (such as a clear channel assessment (CCA)) before communicating to determine whether the shared channel is available. In some specific implementations, the CCA may include an energy detection procedure to determine whether there are any other active transmissions. For example, the device may infer that a change in the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of the power meter indicates that the channel is occupied. Specifically, the signal power concentrated in a certain bandwidth and exceeding a predetermined noise floor may indicate another wireless transmitter. CCA may also include detection of a specific sequence indicating the use of the channel. For example, another device may send a specific preamble before sending a data sequence. In some cases, the LBT procedure may include the wireless node adjusting its own backoff window based on the amount of energy detected on the channel or acknowledgement / negative acknowledgement (ACK / NACK) feedback for its own transmitted packets (as a manifestation of a collision).
[0065] The deployment of a communication system (such as a 5G NR system) can be arranged with various components or components in a variety of ways. In a 5G NR system or network, a network node, a network entity, a mobility element of a network, a RAN node, a core network node, a network element or a network equipment (such as a base station (BS), or one or more units (or one or more components) performing base station functions) can be implemented in an aggregated or decomposed architecture. For example, a BS (such as a Node B (NB), an evolved NB (eNB), an NR BS, a 5GNB, an access point (AP), a transmit receive point (TRP) or a cell, etc.) can be implemented as an aggregated base station (also referred to as an independent BS or a monolithic BS) or a decomposed base station.
[0066] The aggregated base station can be configured to utilize a radio protocol stack physically or logically integrated within a single RAN node. The decomposed base station can be configured to utilize a protocol stack physically or logically distributed between two or more units, such as one or more central or centralized units (CU), one or more distributed units (DU), or one or more radio units (RU). In some aspects, the CU can be implemented within a RAN node, and one or more DUs can be co-located with the CU, or alternatively, can be geographically or virtually distributed in one or more other RAN nodes. The DU can be implemented to communicate with one or more RUs. Each of the CU, DU, and RU can also be implemented as a virtual unit, namely a virtual central unit (VCU), a virtual distributed unit (VDU), or a virtual radio unit (VRU).
[0067] Base station type operations or network designs may take into account the aggregated nature of base station functionality. For example, a disaggregated base station may be used in an integrated access backhaul (IAB) network, an open radio access network (O-RAN (network configurations such as those initiated by the O-RAN Alliance)), or a virtualized radio access network (vRAN, also known as a cloud radio access network (C-RAN)). Decomposition may include distributing functionality across two or more units at various physical locations, as well as virtually distributing functionality of at least one unit, which may enable flexibility in network design. Various units of a disaggregated base station or disaggregated RAN architecture may be configured for wired or wireless communication with at least one other unit.
[0068] Figure 3 A diagram illustrating an example disaggregated base station architecture 300 such as may be implemented by one or more of the base stations 105 is shown. The disaggregated base station architecture 300 may include one or more central units (CUs) 310 that may communicate directly with a core network 320 via a backhaul link, or indirectly with the core network 320 through one or more disaggregated base station units, such as a near real-time (near-RT) RAN intelligent controller (RIC) 325 via an E2 link, or a non-real-time (non-RT) RIC 315 associated with a service management and orchestration (SMO) framework 305, or both. The CU 310 may communicate with one or more distributed units (DUs) 330 via respective midhaul links, such as an F1 interface. The DU 330 may communicate with one or more radio units (RUs) 340 via respective fronthaul links. The RU 340 may communicate with respective UEs 115 via one or more RF access links. In some implementations, a UE 115 may be served simultaneously by multiple RUs 340.
[0069] Each of the units (i.e., CU 310, DU 330, RU 340, and near-RT RIC 325, non-RT RIC 315, and SMO framework 305) may include or be coupled to one or more interfaces configured to receive or send signals, data, or information (collectively, signals) via a wired or wireless transmission medium. Each of the units or an associated processor or controller that provides instructions to the communication interface of these units may be configured to communicate with one or more of the other units via a transmission medium. For example, these units may include a wired interface configured to receive or send signals to one or more of the other units via a wired transmission medium. Additionally, these units may include a wireless interface that may include a receiver, transmitter, or transceiver (such as an RF transceiver) configured to receive or send signals, or both, to one or more of the other units via a wireless transmission medium.
[0070] In some aspects, CU 310 may host one or more higher layer control functions. Such control functions may include RRC, Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP), Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP), etc. Each control function may be implemented using an interface that is configured to communicate signals with other control functions hosted by CU 310. CU 310 may be configured to handle user plane functionality (i.e., central unit-user plane (CU-UP)), control plane functionality (i.e., central unit-control plane (CU-CP)), or a combination thereof. In some specific implementations, CU 310 may be logically split into one or more CU-UP units and one or more CU-CP units. When implemented in an O-RAN configuration, the CU-UP unit may communicate bidirectionally with the CU-CP unit via an interface (such as an E1 interface). As needed, CU 310 may be implemented to communicate with DU 330 for network control and signaling.
[0071] DU 330 may correspond to a logical unit that includes one or more base station functions for controlling the operation of one or more RU 340. In some aspects, DU 330 may host one or more of a radio link control (RLC) layer, a medium access control (MAC) layer, and one or more high physical (PHY) layers (such as modules for forward error correction (FEC) encoding and decoding, scrambling, modulation and demodulation, etc.) at least in part according to a functional split such as defined by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). In some aspects, DU 330 may further host one or more low PHY layers. Each layer (or module) may be implemented using an interface that is configured to communicate signals with other layers (and modules) hosted by DU 330 or with control functions hosted by CU 310.
[0072] The lower layer functionality may be implemented by one or more RUs 340. In some deployments, a RU 340 controlled by a DU 330 may correspond to a logical node that hosts RF processing functions or low PHY layer functions (such as performing Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Inverse FFT (iFFT), digital beamforming, physical random access channel (PRACH) extraction and filtering, etc.), or both, based at least in part on a functional split (such as a lower layer functional split). In such an architecture, the RU 340 may be implemented to handle over-the-air (OTA) communications with one or more UEs 115. In some implementations, real-time and non-real-time aspects of control plane and user plane communications with the RU 340 may be controlled by the corresponding DU 330. In some scenarios, this configuration may enable the implementation of the DU 330 and the CU 310 in a cloud-based RAN architecture (such as a vRAN architecture).
[0073] Various wireless communication devices of wireless network 100 (eg, one or more of UE 115 and / or base station 105) may operate in either half-duplex mode or full-duplex mode. FIG. 4A to FIG. 4C Various configurations of full-duplex mode in a single bandwidth part (BWP) or component carrier (CC) as may be used by wireless communication devices of the wireless network 100 are illustrated. It should be understood that FIG. 4A to FIG. 4C Examples are given regarding duplex mode configurations that may be utilized, and are not intended to be limiting with respect to the particular configurations that may be utilized by wireless communication devices that may implement full-duplex operation in accordance with the concepts of this disclosure.
[0074] As in FIG. 4A to FIG. 4C As can be seen in FIG. 4 , the uplink signal 401 in full-duplex mode overlaps with the downlink signal 402 in time. That is, in these examples, a wireless communication device implementing full-duplex mode for wireless communication transmits and receives simultaneously. A wireless communication device may implement full-duplex mode to communicate with one or more other wireless communication devices also operating in full-duplex mode (e.g., each such wireless communication device transmits and receives simultaneously). Additionally or alternatively, a wireless communication device may implement full-duplex mode for communicating with one or more wireless communication devices operating in half-duplex mode (e.g., although a wireless communication device operating in full-duplex mode may transmit and receive simultaneously, a wireless communication device operating in half-duplex mode may transmit or receive at any particular time, such as where one wireless communication device operating in half-duplex mode receives a downlink signal from a wireless communication device operating in full-duplex mode while another wireless communication device operating in half-duplex mode sends an uplink signal to a wireless communication device operating in full-duplex mode).
[0075] Various configurations can be used with respect to full-duplex mode, such as FIG. 4A to FIG. 4C For example, Figure 4A and Figure 4B An example of in-band full-duplex is shown, where an uplink signal 401 of the full-duplex mode overlaps with a downlink signal 402 in time and frequency. That is, the uplink signal and the downlink signal at least partially share the same time and frequency resources (e.g., the uplink and downlink signals fully or partially overlap in the time domain and the frequency domain). In another configuration of the full-duplex mode, Figure 4C An example of sub-band full-duplex is shown, where an uplink signal 401 in full-duplex mode overlaps with a downlink signal 402 in time, but not in frequency. That is, the uplink signal and the downlink signal at least partially share the same time resources (e.g., full or partial overlap of the uplink and downlink signals in the time domain), but do not share the same frequency resources. Figure 4C In the example illustrated in , uplink signal 401 and downlink signal 402 are separated in the frequency domain by a guard band 403 (eg, a relatively narrow amount of spectrum separating the frequency band occupied by uplink and downlink signals).
[0076] Operation in full-duplex mode, while facilitating various efficiencies in wireless communications (eg, enhanced capacity, resource utilization, and / or spectral efficiency), often introduces problems with various forms of interference and clutter. Figure 5 1 represents a portion of a wireless network 100 selected to illustrate the self-interference and clutter associated with full-duplex mode operation. Specifically, Figure 5 An example full-duplex mode implementation is illustrated, wherein base station 105d operates in full-duplex mode, while UEs 115c and 115d each operate in half-duplex mode. However, it should be understood that the specific base stations and UEs depicted are not intended to be limiting of the various wireless communication stations that may be subject to self-interference and / or clutter or that may implement sub-band full-duplex configurations and sub-band full-duplex communications in accordance with the concepts of the present disclosure. Figure 5, base station 105d receives uplink signal 501 and transmits downlink signal 502 using shared time resources. Thus, in addition to external interference (e.g., interference from other wireless devices operating in or near the coverage area of base station 105d), base station 105d may also experience self-interference 551 associated with the transmission of downlink signal 502 when attempting to receive uplink signal 501. Base station 105d may additionally experience clutter 552, such as may be caused by downlink signal 502 having been reflected from feature 500 (e.g., topological features, such as buildings, terrain, etc. placed in or near the service area of base station 105d) and returning to base station 105d when attempting to receive uplink signal 501. Full-duplex communication may therefore present challenges in achieving the desired efficiency in any particular implementation. Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sub-band full-duplex for wireless communications, which provide sub-band full-duplex configurations, such as may be selectively implemented with respect to specific situations, communication environments, channel conditions, etc. for mitigating or avoiding issues with various forms of interference and clutter.
[0077] Figure 6 6 is a block diagram of an example wireless communication system 600 supporting sub-band full-duplex configuration and communication according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure. In some examples, the wireless communication system 600 may implement aspects of the wireless network 100. For example, the wireless communication network system 600 may implement a 5G NR network. The illustrated example of the wireless communication system 600 includes a UE 115 and a base station 105, such as may correspond to Figure 1 105. Although one UE 115 and one base station 105 are illustrated, in some other implementations, the wireless communication system 600 may include multiple UEs 115 and may include more than one base station 105. For example, the wireless communication system 600 may include multiple 5G-capable UEs 115 and multiple 5G-capable base stations 105, such as UEs and base stations configured to operate according to 5G NR network protocols such as defined by 3GPP.
[0078] The base station 105 may include various components (such as structural components, hardware components) for implementing one or more functions described herein. For example, these components may include one or more processors 652 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "processor 652"), one or more memory devices 654 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "memory 654"), one or more transmitters 656 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "transmitters 656"), and one or more receivers 658 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "receivers 658"). The processor 652 may be configured to execute instructions stored in the memory 654 to perform the operations described herein. In some specific implementations, the processor 652 includes or corresponds to one or more of the receive processor 238, the transmit processor 220, and the controller 240, and the memory 654 includes or corresponds to the memory 242.
[0079] According to aspects of the present disclosure, the memory 654 includes or is configured to store sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 661 and sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662. The sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 661 may include program code that, when executed by the processor 652, causes the base station 105 and / or its components to perform sub-band full-duplex functions as described herein.
[0080] The subband full-duplex configuration logic 661, when executed by the processor 652, may utilize various information stored as the subband full-duplex configuration information 662 (e.g., subband frequency configuration mode information, subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information, subband full-duplex time slot periodicity information, and / or subband full-duplex time slot offset information) to select and / or establish one or more subband full-duplex configurations to be utilized with respect to a particular situation, communication environment, channel conditions, etc. Some example subband full-duplex configuration logic 661 may thus cause the base station 105 to send (e.g., via the transmitter 656) RRC signaling 671, which includes subband frequency configuration mode information and subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information for configuring one or more wireless communication devices (e.g., UE 115) for subband full-duplex communication. The RRC signaling 671 may, for example, include subband frequency configuration mode information and subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information used in implementing semi-static subband full-duplex communication. The RRC signaling 671 may additionally or alternatively include subband frequency configuration mode information and subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode information used in pre-configuring a wireless communication device with multiple subband frequency configuration modes and multiple subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes for dynamic subband full-duplex operation. Some example subband full-duplex configuration logic 661 may thus cause the base station 105 to send (e.g., via the transmitter 656) MAC-CE signaling 672 and / or DCI signaling 673 to control one or more wireless communication devices (e.g., UE 115) regarding selecting and / or activating one or more subband frequency configuration modes in a plurality of subband frequency configuration modes and one or more subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes in a plurality of subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes for dynamic subband full-duplex communication.
[0081] According to some examples, the signaling for sub-band full-duplex communication sent by the base station 105 (e.g., RRC signaling 671, MAC-CE signaling 672, and / or DCI signaling 673) may include sub-band full-duplex time slot periodicity information for sub-band full-duplex communication. The signaling configured for sub-band full-duplex communication sent by the base station 105 may additionally or alternatively include sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information for sub-band full-duplex communication.
[0082] After one or more wireless communication devices have been configured for sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., appropriate sub-band full-duplex configuration information is provided via RRC signaling 671, MAC-CE signaling 672, and / or DCI signaling 673), the program code of the sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 661, when executed by the processor 652, may cause the base station 105 and / or its components to communicate (e.g., via the transmitter 656 and the receiver 658) messages 674 (e.g., control and / or user data, payload data, etc.) via at least one uplink and at least one downlink of the sub-band full-duplex communication session. For example, the base station 105 may participate in the sub-band full-duplex communication session communication using the sub-band full-duplex communication configuration via one or more uplinks and one or more downlinks established with respect to one or more UEs 115 according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration mode corresponding to the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode corresponding to the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information. According to some aspects, base station 105 may operate in full-duplex mode (e.g., uplink / downlink multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO)) to simultaneously send and receive messages (e.g., message 674 including uplink and downlink messages, such as may correspond to UEs) to / from UEs operating in half-duplex mode (e.g., uplink MU-MIMO and downlink MU-MIMO). Figure 5 For example, the first UE may receive a message (e.g., a downlink message including message 674, message 682) sent by the base station 105 operating in full-duplex mode at the second UE using the sub-band full-duplex communication configuration according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration mode corresponding to the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode corresponding to the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information. Figure 5 502) simultaneously with the downlink signal 502) to send a message to the base station 105 (e.g., message 681 including an uplink message of message 674, and such as may correspond to Figure 5 uplink signal 501).
[0083] The transmitter 656 is configured to send reference signals, synchronization signals, control information, and data to one or more other devices, and the receiver 658 is configured to receive reference signals, control information, and data from one or more other devices. For example, the transmitter 656 may send signaling and / or control information (e.g., RRC signaling 671, MAC-CE signaling 672, DCI signaling 673, etc.) and data (e.g., one or more messages in message 674) to the UE 115, and the receiver 658 may receive signaling and / or control information and data (e.g., one or more messages in message 674) from the UE. In some implementations, the transmitter 656 and the receiver 658 may be integrated into one or more transceivers. Additionally or alternatively, the transmitter 656 or the receiver 658 may include or correspond to a reference signal. Figure 2 One or more components of a base station 105 are described.
[0084] UE 115 may include various components (such as structures, hardware components) for performing one or more functions described herein. For example, these components may include one or more processors 602 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "processor 602"), one or more memory devices 604 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "memory 604"), one or more transmitters 616 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "transmitters 616"), and one or more receivers 618 (hereinafter collectively referred to as "receivers 618"). Processor 602 may be configured to execute instructions stored in memory 604 to perform the operations described herein. In some specific implementations, processor 602 includes or corresponds to one or more of receiving processor 258, transmitting processor 264, and controller 280, and memory 604 includes or corresponds to memory 282.
[0085] According to aspects of the present disclosure, memory 604 includes or is configured to store sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 and sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606. Sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 661 may include program code that, when executed by processor 652, causes base station 105 and / or its components to perform sub-band full-duplex functionality as described herein.
[0086] The subband full-duplex configuration logic 605, when executed by the processor 602, may utilize various information stored as the subband full-duplex configuration information 606 (e.g., subband frequency configuration mode information, subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information, subband full-duplex time slot periodicity information, and / or subband full-duplex time slot offset information) to determine, select, and / or activate one or more subband full-duplex configurations to be utilized with respect to a particular situation, communication environment, channel conditions, etc. Some example subband full-duplex configuration logic 605 may thus cause the UE 115 to receive (e.g., via the receiver 618) RRC signaling 671, which includes subband frequency configuration mode information and subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information for configuring the UE for subband full-duplex communication. As described above, the RRC signaling 671 may include the subband frequency configuration mode information and the subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information used in implementing semi-static subband full-duplex communication. The RRC signaling 671 may additionally or alternatively include subband frequency configuration mode information and subband symbol and slot time configuration mode information used in pre-configuring the UE 115 with a plurality of subband frequency configuration modes and a plurality of subband symbol and slot time configuration modes for dynamic subband full-duplex operation. Some example subband full-duplex configuration logic 605 may thus cause the UE 115 to receive (e.g., via the receiver 618) MAC-CE signaling 672 and / or DCI signaling 673, thereby providing control of the UE 115 regarding selecting and / or activating one or more of the plurality of subband frequency configuration modes and one or more of the plurality of subband symbol and slot time configuration modes for dynamic subband full-duplex communication.
[0087] According to some examples, signaling (e.g., RRC signaling 671, MAC-CE signaling 672, and / or DCI signaling 673) for sub-band full-duplex communication received by UE 115 may include sub-band full-duplex time slot periodicity information for sub-band full-duplex communication. Signaling configured for sub-band full-duplex communication received by UE 115 may additionally or alternatively include sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information for sub-band full-duplex communication.
[0088] After the UE 115 has been configured for a sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., appropriate sub-band full-duplex configuration information has been provided via RRC signaling 671, MAC-CE signaling 672, and / or DCI signaling 673), the program code of the sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605, when executed by the processor 602, may cause the UE 115 and / or its components to communicate (e.g., via the transmitter 616 and / or the receiver 618, depending on full-duplex mode or half-duplex mode operation) a message 681 (e.g., uplink control and / or user data, payload data, etc.) and / or a message 682 (e.g., downlink control and / or user data, payload data, etc.) via at least one uplink or downlink of a sub-band full-duplex communication session. For example, UE 115 may participate in a sub-band full-duplex communication session communication with base station 105 using at least one uplink and / or at least one downlink of a sub-band full-duplex communication configuration according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration pattern corresponding to the sub-band frequency configuration pattern information and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration pattern corresponding to the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration pattern information. According to some aspects, at a second UE 115 operating in half-duplex mode to receive a message (e.g., message 682 including a downlink message of message 674) from base station 105, and as may correspond to Figure 5 502), while the first UE 115 is operating in half-duplex mode to send a message (e.g., message 681 including an uplink message of message 674, such as message 682 that may correspond to message 674) to the base station 105 operating in full-duplex mode (e.g., uplink / downlink MU-MIMO). Figure 5 Similarly, when another UE operates in half-duplex mode to send a message at any particular time (e.g., message 681 including an uplink message of message 674, and such as may correspond to Figure 5 501), while UE 115 is operating in half-duplex mode (e.g., downlink MU-MIMO) to receive messages (e.g., message 682 including a downlink message of message 674, such as message 682 that may correspond to a downlink message of message 674) from base station 105 operating in full-duplex mode (e.g., uplink / downlink MU-MIMO). Figure 5 downlink signal 502).
[0089] The transmitter 616 is configured to send reference signals, control information, and data to one or more other devices, and the receiver 618 is configured to receive reference signals, synchronization signals, control information, and data from one or more other devices. For example, the transmitter 616 may send signaling, control information, and data (e.g., one or more messages in message 681) to the base station 105, and the receiver 618 may receive signaling and / or control information (e.g., RRC signaling 671, MAC-CE signaling 672, DCI signaling 673, etc.) and data (e.g., one or more messages in message 682) from the base station. In some implementations, the transmitter 616 and the receiver 618 may be integrated into one or more transceivers. Additionally or alternatively, the transmitter 616 or the receiver 618 may include or correspond to a reference signal. Figure 2 One or more components of UE 115 are described.
[0090] During operation of the wireless communication system 600, the wireless communication devices of the wireless network are configured for sub-band full-duplex communication, and thus can communicate via one or more uplinks and / or downlinks of a sub-band full-duplex communication session. The sub-band full-duplex configuration provided according to various aspects of the present disclosure may include a semi-static sub-band full-duplex configuration, wherein the sub-band full-duplex configuration is configured and / or implemented semi-statically. For example, the semi-static sub-band full-duplex configuration may be implemented over a duration of multiple time slots (e.g., a time domain sub-portion defined with respect to a subframe of a transmission frame, such as 10ms, wherein a transmission frame may include multiple subframes and a subframe may include one or more time slots), multiple seconds, multiple minutes, multiple hours, etc. Additionally or alternatively, the sub-band full-duplex configuration provided according to various aspects of the present disclosure may include a dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration, wherein the sub-band full-duplex configuration is dynamically configured and / or implemented. For example, the dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration may be implemented on a per-time slot basis, per-symbol (e.g., a complex number representing the amplitude and phase of an M-ary modulation scheme, wherein a time slot may include multiple symbols), etc. One or more of the aforementioned sub-band full-duplex configurations may be implemented with respect to specific situations, communication environments, channel conditions, etc. to provide sub-band full-duplex for wireless communications configured to mitigate or avoid issues with various forms of interference and clutter.
[0091] In an example of a semi-static sub-band full-duplex configuration, in accordance with aspects of the present disclosure, a semi-static configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands is provided via RRC signaling 671 (e.g., as may be sent under the control of sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 661 and / or received under the control of sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605). Fig. 7A and Figure 7B A sub-band full-duplex configuration is illustrated as being semi-statically configurable and / or achievable via RRC signaling.
[0092] First reference Fig. 7A , the sub-band full-duplex configuration 700a includes a sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710a. The sub-band frequency configuration pattern according to various aspects of the present disclosure may include uplink and downlink frequency domain patterns for sub-band full-duplex symbols and / or time slots. For example, the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710a may include one or more resource block (RB) sets (e.g., one or more subcarriers in the frequency domain) for one or more downlink sub-bands (e.g., downlink sub-bands 701a and 703a), one or more RB sets for one or more uplink sub-bands (e.g., uplink sub-band 702a), and one or more RB sets for one or more guard bands (e.g., guard bands 711a and 712a).
[0093] It should be understood that in the example of sub-band frequency configuration mode 710a, the number of sub-bands, the relative placement of sub-bands in the frequency domain of the available bandwidth, and the bandwidth of each sub-band and guard band are illustrative and do not form or indicate limitations on the specific implementation of the concepts herein. In addition, in the example of sub-band frequency configuration mode 710a, downlink sub-bands 701a and 703a provide segmented downlink bandwidths (e.g., including the higher frequency bandwidth of downlink sub-band 701a and the lower frequency bandwidth of downlink sub-band 703a). According to some examples, the uplink sub-bands of the sub-band frequency configuration mode may be additionally or alternatively segmented. This downlink and / or uplink segmented bandwidth may be used by the same or different wireless communication devices in sub-band full-duplex communication. However, it should be understood that according to various aspects of the present disclosure, the bandwidth of the downlink and / or uplink sub-bands does not need to be segmented, regardless of whether it is utilized by the same or different wireless communication devices.
[0094] Fig. 7A The subband full-duplex configuration 700a also includes a subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern 720a. The subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern according to various aspects of the present disclosure may include a time domain pattern for an instance of one or more subband frequency configuration patterns within a time window. For example, for a window of one or more time slots (e.g., M time slots), the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern may include a per-slot pattern of symbols configured as subband full-duplex symbols according to one or more subband frequency configuration patterns. The time domain pattern of the subband symbol and the time slot configuration pattern may include a single or multiple subband frequency configuration patterns. If multiple subband frequency configuration patterns are included, subband symbols and time slot configuration patterns may be provided for a total of M time slots, where the number of time slots for subband frequency configuration pattern 1 is M1, the number of time slots for subband frequency configuration pattern 2 is M2, and so on. Although the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern may define a subband full-duplex configuration, it includes not such as Fig. 7AThe symbols of the time slots are shown as subband full-duplex symbols (e.g., downlink symbol 721a and uplink symbol 722a of subband full-duplex configuration 700a), but some example subband symbol and time slot time configuration patterns may define a subband full-duplex configuration that includes symbols of time slots that are all subband full-duplex symbols (e.g., whether having the same or different subband frequency configuration patterns).
[0095] RRC signaling may be used to provide a semi-static configuration and / or specific implementation of the sub-band full-duplex configuration 700a. In the example according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration 700a, the RRC signaling 671 includes sub-band frequency configuration mode information and sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information (e.g., as may be stored as sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606) for configuring one or more wireless communication devices (e.g., UE 115) for sub-band full-duplex communication.
[0096] The subband frequency configuration mode information of the RRC signaling 671 for the subband frequency configuration mode 710a may, for example, include information about one or more RB sets (e.g., identification of each RB included in the set, RB start and end information, RB index, etc.) for the downlink subband of the subband frequency configuration mode and one or more RB sets for the uplink subband. For example, the subband frequency configuration mode information of the RRC signaling 671 may include information about one or more RB sets for the downlink subbands 701a and 703a for the subband frequency configuration mode 710a and one or more RB sets for the uplink subband 702a. The RBs of the guard bands 711a and 712a of the subband frequency configuration mode 710a may be implicitly known or determined from the configured downlink and uplink subbands of this example. For example, the subband frequency configuration pattern may include at least one guard band set between a downlink subband of one or more downlink subbands and an uplink subband of one or more uplink subbands, and the RBs of the at least one guard band may include RBs between RBs of RB set information for one or more downlink subbands and RBs of RB set information for one or more uplink subbands.
[0097] The subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern information of the RRC signaling 671 for the subband frequency configuration pattern 710a may include information about the number of slots and / or symbols for each subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern (e.g., each subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern may include a different number of slots and / or symbols), a start symbol and an end symbol for each subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern (e.g., each subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern may have a different start symbol and an end symbol configured as a subband full-duplex symbol), etc. For example, for a window of M slots and for each of the M slots, the subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern information may include information about a start symbol i and an end symbol j to be configured as a subband full-duplex symbol in the slot (e.g., an instance of the subband frequency configuration pattern 710a). According to some aspects, each of the M slots may have a different or the same start symbol and an end symbol for a subband full-duplex symbol. For a time slot without a sub-band full-duplex symbol, the start symbol and end symbol information may be empty or set to a pre-specified value (eg, 0) to indicate that no sub-band full-duplex symbol exists in the time slot.
[0098] Some examples of RRC signaling 671 may include information other than the subband frequency configuration mode information and the subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode information for the subband full-duplex configuration 700a (e.g., as may be stored as subband full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or subband full-duplex configuration information 606). For example, RRC signaling 671 may include time slot periodicity information for subband full-duplex communication. According to some examples in which all symbols of a time slot are configured as subband full-duplex symbols and / or all time slots are configured as subband full-duplex symbols, the time slot periodicity information may be omitted or otherwise empty. However, in examples in which time slot periodicity information is utilized, the time slot periodicity information may define the periodicity of the time slot pattern that repeats the defined M time slots. According to some aspects, the pattern of M time slots may be repeated for Tms (e.g., Tms may include exactly M time slots to repeat M time slots) or a window of a sub-band full-duplex time slot pattern, wherein the pattern of M time slots will be repeated until the end of the window of Tms or until the next sub-band full-duplex configuration update. Additionally or alternatively, the RRC signaling 671 may include sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information for sub-band full-duplex communication. For example, the sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information may define the starting offset of at least one sub-band frequency configuration pattern. According to some examples, the symbol configured for sub-band full-duplex may include the first symbol of the corresponding time slot, and the corresponding sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information may be omitted or otherwise empty. However, in an example utilizing sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information, the sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information may indicate an offset value to the sub-band frequency configuration pattern (e.g., K symbols / time slots offset from time slot 0 of the current frame).
[0099] Reference now Figure 7B , the sub-band full-duplex configuration 700b includes a sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b. Similar to the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710a above, the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b may each include one or more RB sets for one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more RB sets for one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more RB sets for one or more guard bands. For example, the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7101b in the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b may include a RB set for downlink sub-bands 701b and 703b, a RB set for uplink sub-band 702b, and a RB set for guard bands 711b and 712b. Similarly, the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7102b in the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b may include a RB set for uplink sub-band 704b, a RB set for downlink sub-band 705b, and a RB set for guard band 713b. Similarly, the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7103b in the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b may include an RB set for uplink sub-bands 706b and 708b, an RB set for downlink sub-band 707b, and an RB set for guard bands 714b and 715b. In addition, the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7104b in the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b may include an RB set for downlink sub-band 709b, an RB set for uplink sub-band 7010b, and an RB set for guard band 716b.
[0100] It should be understood that in the example of sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710a, the number of sub-band frequency configuration patterns, the number of sub-bands within any particular sub-band frequency configuration pattern, the relative placement of sub-bands within the frequency domain of the available bandwidth, and the bandwidth of each sub-band and guard band are illustrative and do not form or indicate limitations on specific implementations of the concepts herein. In addition, in the example of sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b, various downlink sub-bands and uplink sub-bands provide segmented bandwidth (e.g., including non-continuous higher frequency bandwidth and lower frequency bandwidth portions). Such downlink and / or uplink segmented bandwidth can be used by the same or different wireless communication devices in sub-band full-duplex communications. However, it should be understood that according to aspects of the present disclosure, the bandwidth of the downlink and / or uplink sub-bands does not need to be segmented, regardless of whether it is utilized by the same or different wireless communication devices.
[0101] Similar to the above sub-band full-duplex configuration 700a, Figure 7BThe subband full-duplex configuration 700b includes a subband symbol and a time slot configuration pattern. The subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern 720b of the subband full-duplex configuration 700b may include a time domain pattern for an instance of a subband frequency configuration pattern within a time window. For example, the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern 720b may include a per-slot pattern of symbols to be configured as subband full-duplex symbols according to one or more subband frequency configuration patterns for a window of one or more time slots (e.g., M time slots), as described in the above example. Although the illustrated example subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern 720b may define a subband full-duplex configuration including symbols of time slots that are all subband full-duplex symbols, the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern may define symbols of time slots that are not subband full-duplex symbols (e.g., Fig. 7A The sub-band full-duplex configuration of the downlink symbol 721a and the uplink symbol 722a).
[0102] RRC signaling may be used to provide a semi-static configuration and / or specific implementation of the sub-band full-duplex configuration 700b. In the example according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration 700b, the RRC signaling 671 includes sub-band frequency configuration mode information and sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information (e.g., as may be stored as sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606) for configuring one or more wireless communication devices (e.g., UE 115) for sub-band full-duplex communication.
[0103] According to some examples, the subband frequency configuration mode information of the RRC signaling 671 for the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may include information about one or more uplink / downlink modes and start and end information for one or more guard bands. The subband frequency configuration mode information of the RRC signaling 671 for the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may, for example, include information about downlink and uplink modes, which indicates alternating instances of downlink and uplink subbands for one or more downlink subbands and one or more uplink subbands for subband full-duplex communication (e.g., U, 0, etc. and D, 1, etc. indications for specific uplink / downlink modes). For example, the subband frequency configuration mode information of the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may include an uplink / downlink mode for each subband frequency mode in a plurality of subband frequency modes (e.g., D / U / D, U / D, U / D / U and D / U, 1 / 0 / 1, 0 / 1, 0 / 1 / 0 and 1 / 0, etc. corresponding to the subband frequency configuration modes 7101b, 7102b, 7103b and 7104b, respectively). The start and end information of one or more guard bands for the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may include RB start and end information (e.g., RB indexes, such as start RB i and end RB j) of each guard band. There may be one or more guard bands for each subband frequency configuration mode, such as a mode depending on the subband frequency configuration mode or the subband full-duplex configuration. Each guard band may have the same or different number of RBs. For example, for uplink / downlink mode D / U / D or U / D / U, there may be two guard bands for uplink / downlink mode (e.g., a guard band between each downlink and uplink subband). In another example, for uplink / downlink mode D / U / D or U / D / U, there may be four guard bands for uplink / downlink mode (e.g., a guard band between each downlink and uplink subband and a guard band on the edge of a BWP or CC to provide an edge guard band, such as when the BWP or CC is adjacent or close to the frequency of another carrier in use). The subband frequency configuration mode may include: one or more RB sets of one or more downlink subbands for downlink and uplink modes that start or end adjacent to RBs of corresponding guard bands defined by RB start and end information for one or more guard bands, and one or more RB sets of one or more uplink subbands for downlink and uplink modes that start or end adjacent to RBs of corresponding guard bands defined by RB start and end information for one or more guard bands. In this example, the RBs of the downlink subband and the uplink subband may be implicitly known or determined from the configured guard band and the edge of the BWP or CC.For example, the RB set for downlink subbands 701b and 703b and the uplink subband 702b may be determined based on the RB start and end information and the BWP or CC edge of the guard bands 711b and 712b, the RB set for the uplink subband 704b and the RB set for the downlink subband 705b may be determined based on the RB start and end information and the BWP or CC edge of the guard band 713b, the RB set for the uplink subbands 706b and 708b and the RB set for the downlink subband 707b may be determined based on the RB start and end information and the BWP or CC edge of the guard bands 714b and 715b, and the RB set for the downlink subband 709b and the RB set for the uplink subband 7010b may be determined based on the RB start and end information and the BWP or CC edge of the guard band 716b.
[0104] According to another example, the subband frequency configuration mode information of the RRC signaling 671 for the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may include start and end information for one or more guard bands and information indicating one or more uplink or downlink subbands for one or more uplink / downlink modes. The start and end information of one or more guard bands for the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may include RB start and end information (e.g., RB index, such as start RB i and end RB j) of each guard band. As described above, there may be one or more guard bands for each subband frequency configuration mode (e.g., one or more subband frequency configuration modes depending on the subband full-duplex configuration), and each guard band may have the same or different number of RBs. The subband frequency configuration pattern may include: one or more RB sets for one or more downlink subbands for subband full-duplex communication starting or ending adjacent to RBs of corresponding guard bands defined by RB start and end information for one or more guard bands, and one or more RB sets for one or more uplink subbands for subband full-duplex communication starting or ending adjacent to RBs of corresponding guard bands defined by RB start and end information for one or more guard bands. Information indicating uplink or downlink subbands for the subband frequency configuration pattern 710b may include an uplink designation (e.g., "U", "0", etc.) or a downlink designation (e.g., "D", "1", etc.) of a reference subband (e.g., a lowest frequency subband, a highest frequency subband, etc.) for the corresponding subband frequency configuration pattern. For example, an indicator (e.g., "D", "1", etc.) provided with respect to the lowest frequency subband for the subband frequency configuration pattern 7101b may indicate a downlink subband, while an indicator (e.g., "U", "0", etc.) provided with respect to the lowest frequency subband for the subband frequency configuration pattern 7103b may indicate an uplink subband. The designation of other subbands for the subband frequency configuration pattern may be implicitly known or determined from the indicated subbands (e.g., at each instance of a guard band within a subband frequency configuration pattern, the designation changes from uplink to downlink or from downlink to uplink). The RBs for the downlink subband and the uplink subband may be implicitly known or determined based on the configured guard bands of the example (e.g., a set of RBs for downlink subbands 701b and 703b and uplink subband 702b determined based on the RB start and end information for guard bands 711b and 712b, a set of RBs for uplink subband 704b and a set of RBs for downlink subband 705b determined based on the RB start and end information for guard band 713b, a set of RBs for uplink subbands 706b and 708b and a set of RBs for downlink subband 707b determined based on the RB start and end information for guard bands 714b and 715b, and a set of RBs for downlink subband 709b and a set of RBs for uplink subband 7010b determined based on the RB start and end information for guard band 716b).
[0105] According to a further example, the subband frequency configuration mode information of the RRC signaling 671 for the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may include information providing an indication of each uplink subband. For example, the indication of each uplink subband may include start and end information and / or allocated bandwidth for one or more uplink subbands of the subband frequency configuration mode. The start and end information of one or more uplink subbands for the subband frequency configuration mode 710b may include RB start and end information (e.g., RB index, such as start RB i and end RB j) for each guard band. As described above, the subband frequency configuration mode according to various aspects of the present disclosure includes alternating instances of downlink and uplink subbands, and one or more guard bands may exist for each subband frequency configuration mode (e.g., one or more subband frequency configuration modes depending on the subband full-duplex configuration). The RBs of the downlink subbands and / or guard bands may be implicitly known or determined from the configured uplink subbands of the example. For example, one or more guard band bandwidths may be preconfigured or otherwise known. The RBs of the allocated BWP or CC adjacent to the uplink subband of the uplink subband indication information may be known or determined as one or more guard bands (for example, a predetermined bandwidth is provided for the guard band and the RBs adjacent to the configured uplink subband are designated as the guard band). The RBs of the allocated BWP or CC that are not included in the uplink subband of the uplink subband indication information and / or are not determined as one or more guard bands may be determined as RBs of one or more downlink subbands. As examples, the RB set for downlink subbands 701b and 703b and the RB set for guard bands 711b and 712b are determined according to the RB start and end information for the uplink subband 702b, the RB set for downlink subband 705b and the RB set for guard band 713b are determined according to the RB start and end information for the uplink subband 704b, the RB set for downlink subband 707b and the RB set for guard bands 714b and 715b are determined according to the RB start and end information for uplink subbands 706b and 708b, and the RB set for downlink subband 709b and the RB set for guard band 716b are determined according to the RB start and end information for the uplink subband 7010b.
[0106] The foregoing examples of subband frequency configuration mode information in which aspects of uplink and / or downlink subbands may be implicitly known or determined may provide efficiencies (e.g., reduced data transmission, lower bandwidth utilization for RRC signaling, etc.) in implementations in which multiple subband frequency configuration modes are provided in a subband full-duplex configuration, compared to subband frequency configuration mode information including information about one or more RB sets for downlink subbands and one or more RB sets for uplink subbands of a subband frequency configuration mode. However, implementations in which multiple subband frequency configuration modes are provided in a subband full-duplex configuration may utilize subband frequency configuration mode information including information about one or more RB sets for downlink subbands and one or more RB sets for uplink subbands of a subband frequency configuration mode according to some examples, such as where the RB sets for uplink and / or downlink subbands include non-contiguous RBs.
[0107] As described above, the subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern information of the RRC signaling 671 for the subband frequency configuration pattern 710b may include information about the number of slots and / or symbols for each subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern, the start symbol and the end symbol for each subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern, etc. For example, for a window of M slots and for each of the M slots, the subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern information may include information about the start symbol i and the end symbol j to be configured as a subband full-duplex symbol in the slot (e.g., an example of the subband frequency configuration pattern 710a). In the example of the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 710b, including multiple sub-band frequency configuration patterns (e.g., sub-band frequency configuration patterns 7101b, 7102b, 7103b, and 7104b), the sub-band symbol and time slot configuration pattern 720b may be provided for a total of M time slots, wherein the number of time slots of the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7101b is M1, the number of time slots of the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7102b is M2, the number of time slots of the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7103b is M3, and the number of time slots of the sub-band frequency configuration pattern 7104b is M4. According to some aspects, each of the M time slots may have a different or the same start symbol and end symbol of a sub-band full-duplex symbol. For a time slot without a sub-band full-duplex symbol, the start symbol and end symbol information may be empty or set to a pre-specified value (e.g., 0) to indicate that there is no sub-band full-duplex symbol in the time slot.
[0108] The RRC signaling 671 of some examples of the semi-static sub-band full-duplex configuration may include information other than the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information for the sub-band full-duplex configuration 700b (e.g., as may be stored as the sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or the sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606). For example, the RRC signaling 671 may include time slot periodicity information for sub-band full-duplex communication, as described above with respect to the previous example. Additionally or alternatively, the RRC signaling 671 may include sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information for sub-band full-duplex communication, as described above with respect to the previous example.
[0109] Such as according to reference Fig. 7A and Figure 7B The semi-static subband full-duplex configuration of the above example may be cell-common (e.g., applicable to all UEs served by the cell) or UE-specific (e.g., applicable to a specific UE). According to various aspects of the present disclosure, one or more indications may be provided as to whether the subband full-duplex configuration and / or the subband frequency configuration pattern information and the subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern information are cell-common or UE-specific (e.g., RRC signaling may include one or more indications in or be associated with the subband frequency configuration pattern information and the subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern information). In the case where the subband full-duplex configuration is UE-specific, information indicating whether the subband full-duplex configuration is per BWP or CC, or a common configuration across all BWPs or CCs.
[0110] In the example of dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration, pre-configuration or partial pre-configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands is provided. Fig. 7A and Figure 7B The subband full-duplex configuration illustrated in the figure may be implemented as a dynamic subband full-duplex configuration in which pre-configuration or partial pre-configuration is utilized according to various aspects of the present disclosure. According to various aspects of the present disclosure, the subband frequency configuration mode and the subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode may be partially or fully pre-configured via RRC signaling 671 (e.g., as may be sent under the control of the subband full-duplex configuration logic 661 and / or received under the control of the subband full-duplex configuration logic 605). Thereafter, one or more subband frequency configuration modes and one or more subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes may be selected and / or activated via MAC-CE signaling 672 and / or DCI signaling 673 (e.g., either or both of which may be sent under the control of the subband full-duplex configuration logic 661 and / or received under the control of the subband full-duplex configuration logic 605).
[0111] When configuring the subband frequency configuration mode according to various aspects, multiple subband frequency configuration modes (e.g., a first number T1 of subband frequency configuration modes) may be preconfigured via RRC signaling 671. For example, each subband frequency configuration mode may be defined or otherwise configured using RRC signaling as described with respect to the above examples (e.g., RRC signaling including information about one or more RB sets for downlink subbands and one or more RB sets for uplink subbands of the subband frequency configuration mode, RRC signaling including information about one or more uplink / downlink modes and start and end information for one or more guard bands, RRC signaling including start and end information for one or more guard bands and information indicating uplink or downlink subbands for one or more uplink / downlink modes, and / or RRC signaling including information providing per-uplink subband indication). Regardless of the specific technique used to preconfigure the subband frequency configuration mode, the subband frequency configuration mode may have different downlink and uplink subband configurations. For example, if Fig. 8A As shown in a database 810 of the embodiment (e.g., as may be stored as sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606), the sub-band frequency configuration mode information 812 may include information about sub-band frequency configuration modes 710a, 7101b, 7102b, 7103b, 7104b, etc. An index 811 of the database 810 may be provided for identifying or otherwise specifying one or more sub-band frequency configuration modes, such as for their selection and / or activation as dynamic sub-band full-duplex configurations.
[0112] When configuring the subband symbol and time slot time configuration patterns according to various aspects, multiple subband symbol and time slot time configuration patterns (e.g., a second number T2 of subband symbol and time slot time configuration patterns) may be preconfigured via RRC signaling 671. For example, each subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern may be defined or otherwise configured using RRC signaling as described with respect to the above examples (e.g., RRC signaling including information about the number of time slots and / or symbols used for each subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern, the start symbol and end symbol used for each subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern, etc.). Regardless of the specific technique used to preconfigure the subband symbol and time slot time configuration patterns, the subband symbol and time slot time configuration patterns may have different time domain patterns for instances of one or more subband frequency configuration patterns. For example, as Figure 8BAs shown in the database 820 of (e.g., as may be stored as sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606), the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration pattern information 822 may include information about the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration patterns 720a, 720b, etc. An index 821 of the database 820 may be provided for identifying or otherwise specifying one or more sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration patterns, such as for their selection and / or activation as dynamic sub-band full-duplex configurations. As described above, the time domain pattern of the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration pattern may include a single or multiple sub-band frequency configuration patterns. If multiple sub-band frequency configuration patterns are included, the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration pattern may be provided for a total of M time slots, where the number of time slots for sub-band frequency configuration pattern 1 is M1, the number of time slots for sub-band frequency configuration pattern 2 is M2, and so on.
[0113] The RRC signaling 671 of some examples of dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration may include information other than the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information (e.g., as may be stored as the sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or the sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606). For example, the RRC signaling 671 may include information about a plurality of time slot periodicity options for sub-band full-duplex communication (e.g., a third number T3 of time slot periodicity options), similar to the time slot periodicity information described above with respect to the semi-static sub-band full-duplex configuration example.
[0114] According to some examples of dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration, MAC-CE signaling may be used to select and / or activate one or more sub-band full-duplex configurations. For example, MAC-CE signaling 672 may include index information corresponding to one or more sub-band frequency configuration modes of database 810 (e.g., sub-band frequency configuration mode index i among T1 pre-configured sub-band frequency configuration modes) and index information corresponding to one or more sub-band symbol and time slot configuration modes of database 820 (e.g., sub-band symbol and time slot configuration mode index j among T2 pre-configured sub-band symbol and time slot configuration modes) for selection and / or activation as dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration.
[0115] The MAC-CE signaling 672 of some examples of dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration may include information other than information corresponding to the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and information corresponding to the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information (e.g., as may be stored as sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606). For example, the MAC-CE signaling 672 may include information corresponding to a time slot periodicity option for sub-band full-duplex communication. The MAC-CE signaling 672 may include index information corresponding to one or more time slot periodicity options used with respect to the dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., a time slot periodicity option index k among the T3 pre-configured time slot periodicity options). Additionally or alternatively, the MAC-CE signaling 672 may include sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information for sub-band full-duplex communication. According to some examples, the sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information included in the MAC-CE signaling may define a time slot offset of a fourth number T4 time slots or symbols after receiving the MAC-CE signaling or after receiving an acknowledgment (ACK) of the MAC-CE signaling. For example, the sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information provided via the MAC-CE signaling 672 may include one or more offset values for starting the sub-band full-duplex configuration and / or one or more sub-band frequency configuration modes thereof (e.g., K time slots / symbols after receiving the MAC-CE signaling, after receiving the ACK of the MAC-CE signaling, etc.).
[0116] In operations according to some examples, the subband full-duplex configuration selected and / or activated via MAC-CE signaling may continue and repeat for M time slots of the corresponding subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern. Some example subband frequency modes may continue and repeat for one or more time slots defined by the subband frequency mode until subsequent MAC-CE signaling is sent to deactivate the subband frequency mode. The subband full-duplex configuration selected and / or activated via MAC-CE signaling may fall back to the time slot format implemented before receiving the subband full-duplex configuration selected and / or activated via MAC-CE signaling, or until MAC-CE signaling is received to deactivate the subband full-duplex configuration selected and / or activated via MAC-CE signaling.
[0117] According to a further example of dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration, DCI signaling may be used to select and / or activate one or more sub-band full-duplex configurations. DCI signaling utilized according to some examples may include a DCI format for use with dynamic full-duplex configuration creation. Some examples may reuse a pre-existing DCI format of a wireless network protocol (e.g., a 5G NR network protocol) for dynamic full-duplex configuration with or without assignment. Another example may reuse a DCI format 2_0 configured with a slot format indicator (SFI) (e.g., two new fields for indicating a sub-band frequency configuration mode index i, and a sub-band symbol and a slot time configuration mode index j may be provided in the SFI in the group common DCI format 2_0), or may use an SFI configuration for use with dynamic full-duplex configuration creation. Regardless of the specific DCI format utilized, the DCI-DCI signaling 673 may include index information corresponding to one or more subband frequency configuration modes of the database 810 (e.g., a subband frequency configuration mode index i among the T1 preconfigured subband frequency configuration modes) and index information corresponding to one or more subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes of the database 820 (e.g., a subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode index j among the T2 preconfigured subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes) for selection and / or activation as a dynamic subband full-duplex configuration.
[0118] The DCI signaling 673 of some examples of dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration may include information other than information corresponding to the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and information corresponding to the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information (e.g., as may be stored as sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 and / or sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606). For example, the DCI signaling 673 may include information corresponding to a time slot periodicity option for sub-band full-duplex communication. The DCI signaling 673 may include index information corresponding to one or more time slot periodicity options used for the dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., a time slot periodicity option index k among T3 pre-configured time slot periodicity options). Additionally or alternatively, the DCI signaling 673 may include sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information for sub-band full-duplex communication. The sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information included in the DCI signaling according to some examples may define a time slot offset of a fourth number of time slots or symbols after receiving the DCI signaling or after receiving an ACK for the DCI signaling. For example, the subband full-duplex time slot offset information provided via DCI signaling 673 may include one or more offset values for starting subband full-duplex configuration and / or one or more subband frequency configuration modes thereof (e.g., K time slots / symbols after receiving the DCI signaling, after receiving an ACK for the DCI signaling, etc.).
[0119] In operation according to some examples, the subband full-duplex configuration selected and / or activated via DCI signaling may fall back to the slot format implemented before the subband full-duplex configuration selected and / or activated via DCI signaling after M slots of the corresponding subband symbol and slot time configuration pattern. According to some examples, repetition of the dynamic subband full-duplex configuration selected and / or activated via DCI signaling is not performed unless it is selected and / or activated again via DCI signaling.
[0120] Dynamic subband full-duplex configuration (such as according to the above example) may be cell-common or UE-specific. According to aspects of the present disclosure, one or more indications may be provided as to whether the subband full-duplex configuration and / or subband frequency configuration pattern information and subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern information are therefore cell-common or UE-specific (e.g., RRC, MAC-CE and / or DCI signaling may include one or more indications in or be associated with the subband frequency configuration pattern information and subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern information). In the case where the subband full-duplex configuration is UE-specific, information indicating whether the subband full-duplex configuration is per BWP or CC, or a common configuration across all BWPs or CCs.
[0121] Although the foregoing examples have been described with reference to a sub-band full-duplex configuration including uplink and downlink sub-bands, it should be understood that a frequency sub-band pattern configured and / or implemented according to the concepts of the present disclosure may include sub-bands designated as sub-bands other than uplink and / or downlink sub-bands. Fig. 9 , an example sub-band full-duplex configuration 700 is shown, which includes a sub-band frequency configuration pattern 910 provided according to a sub-band symbol and time slot configuration pattern 920. Similar to the above-mentioned sub-band frequency configuration patterns 710a and 710b, the sub-band frequency configuration patterns 910 may each include one or more RB sets for one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more RB sets for one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more RB sets for one or more guard bands. In addition, as Fig. 9As shown, the subband frequency configuration patterns 910 may each include one or more RB sets for one or more flexible subbands (e.g., usable for uplink or downlink as needed). For example, the subband frequency configuration pattern 9101 in the subband frequency configuration pattern 910 may include a set of RBs for flexible subbands 901 and 903, a set of RBs for uplink subband 902, and a set of RBs for guard bands 911 and 912. Similarly, the subband frequency configuration pattern 9102 in the subband frequency configuration pattern 910 may include a set of RBs for downlink subbands 904 and 906, a set of RBs for flexible subband 905, and a set of RBs for guard bands 913 and 914. Similarly, the subband frequency configuration pattern 9103 in the subband frequency configuration pattern 910 may include a set of RBs for flexible subband 907, a set of RBs for downlink subband 908, and a set of RBs for guard band 915. In addition, the subband frequency configuration pattern 9104 in the subband frequency configuration pattern 910 may include an RB set for the downlink subband 909 , an RB set for the flexible subband 9010 , and an RB set for the guard band 916 .
[0122] Fig.10 1 is a flow chart illustrating an example process 1000 for supporting sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., semi-static and / or dynamic configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands) for wireless communication in accordance with one or more aspects. The operations of process 1000 may be performed by a network element (such as the network elements described above with reference to FIG. Figures 1 to 3 and Figure 6 Base station 105 is described and is referred to below Fig.10 For example, according to the concepts of the present disclosure, the example operations (also referred to as "blocks") of process 1000 may enable base station 105 to support a sub-band full-duplex configuration for wireless communications.
[0123] At block 1001, a network element sends RRC signaling including subband frequency configuration pattern information for subband full-duplex communication and subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern information for subband full-duplex communication. For example, RRC signaling 671 including subband frequency configuration pattern information and subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern information (e.g., as may be stored at the base station 105 as subband full-duplex configuration information 662) may be sent by the base station 105 to one or more wireless communication devices (e.g., one or more UEs 115) (e.g., as may be sent under the control of the subband full-duplex configuration logic 661).
[0124] According to some examples, the RRC signaling sent by the network element may include information other than the subband frequency configuration mode information and the subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information. For example, the RRC signaling may include time slot periodicity information, information about multiple time slot periodicity options, subband full duplex time slot offset information, etc.
[0125] In some implementations, RRC signaling may be sent by a network element to facilitate semi-static sub-band full-duplex configuration of one or more wireless communication devices. The sub-band frequency configuration pattern information and the sub-band symbol and slot time configuration pattern information may include information to facilitate semi-static configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands, as may be semi-statically implemented by one or more wireless communication devices for wireless communication with the network element.
[0126] In some implementations, RRC signaling may be sent by a network element to facilitate dynamic sub-band full-duplex configuration of one or more wireless communication devices. Sub-band frequency configuration mode information and sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information may include information that facilitates pre-configuration or partial pre-configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands, such as can be dynamically implemented by one or more wireless communication devices for wireless communication with the network element. According to some examples, RRC signaling 671 includes information about a first number (e.g., T1) of sub-band frequency configuration modes and a second number (e.g., T2) of sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration modes. One or more sub-band full-duplex configurations that implement selected sub-bands in pre-configured downlink sub-bands, uplink sub-bands, and / or guard bands may be dynamically selected and / or activated by the network element via signaling (e.g., MAC-CE signaling 672 and / or DCI signaling 673). For example, the network element may send MAC-CE signaling, which includes subband frequency configuration mode activation information for the UE to activate a subband frequency mode according to at least one subband frequency mode of the first number T1 subband frequency configuration modes and subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode activation information for the UE to activate a subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode of the second number T2 subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode. Additionally or alternatively, the network element may send DCI signaling, which includes subband frequency configuration mode selection information for the UE to select a subband frequency mode according to at least one subband frequency mode of the first number T1 subband frequency configuration modes and subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode selection information for the UE to select a subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode of the second number T2 subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode. The aforementioned MAC-CE and / or DCI signaling may also include information for the UE to select a periodicity for subband full-duplex communication.
[0127] At block 1002, the network element communicates via at least one uplink and at least one downlink of a sub-band full-duplex communication session according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration mode corresponding to the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode corresponding to the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information. For example, the base station 105 may operate in full-duplex mode according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration to establish and / or maintain a sub-band full-duplex communication session for communicating with one or more wireless communication devices (e.g., UE 115) via the uplink and downlink of the sub-band full-duplex communication session. The wireless communication device that operates accordingly according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration to communicate with the network element via at least one uplink or downlink of the sub-band full-duplex communication session may operate in full-duplex mode or half-duplex mode. For example, the first UE 115 may operate in half-duplex mode according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration to communicate with the network element via the uplink or downlink of the sub-band full-duplex communication session.
[0128] Fig.11 is an example base station 105 (such as may correspond to) supporting sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., semi-static and / or dynamic configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands) for wireless communication according to one or more aspects. Figures 1 to 3 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 The base station 105 may be configured to perform operations including reference Fig. 9 In some implementations, the base station 105 includes a reference Figures 1 to 3 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 The structure, hardware, and components of the base station 105 shown and described above are shown and described above. For example, the base station 105 may include a controller 240 that operates to execute logic or computer instructions stored in a memory 242 and controls components of the base station 105 that provide the features and functionality of the base station 105. The base station 105 transmits and receives signals via the radios 1101a-t and antennas 234a-t under the control of the controller 240. The radios 1101a-t include various components and hardware, such as those described in Figure 2 , shown for base station 105, includes modulators and demodulators 232a-t, a transmit processor 220, a TX MIMO processor 230, a MIMO detector 236, and a receive processor 238.
[0129] As shown, the memory 242 may include sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 661 and sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662. The sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 661 may be configured to control the base station 105 and / or its components to perform sub-band full-duplex configuration and wireless communication functions, such as those described above with reference to Figure 6 and Fig.10 The sub-band full-duplex configuration information 662 may be configured to store various data, parameters, etc. regarding sub-band full-duplex configuration and / or sub-band full-duplex communication usage, such as sub-band frequency configuration mode information, sub-band symbol and time slot information, including time slot periodicity information, information about multiple time slot periodicity options, sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information, etc. The base station 105 may receive information from one or more UEs (such as Figures 1 to 3 , Figure 5 , Figure 6 and Fig.13 UE 115) receives signals or sends signals to one or more UEs.
[0130] Fig.12 1 is a flow chart illustrating an example process 1200 for supporting sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., semi-static and / or dynamic configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands) for wireless communication according to one or more aspects. The operations of process 1200 may be performed by a UE (such as the one described above with reference to FIG. 1 ). Figures 1 to 3 and Figure 6 The UE 115 described and as referred to below Fig.12 For example, according to the concepts of the present disclosure, the example operations of process 1200 may enable UE 115 to support a sub-band full-duplex configuration for wireless communication.
[0131] At block 1201, the UE receives RRC signaling including subband frequency configuration mode information for subband full-duplex communication and subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information for subband full-duplex communication. For example, the UE 115 may receive RRC signaling 671 (e.g., as may be received under the control of the subband full-duplex configuration logic 605) including subband frequency configuration mode information and time slot configuration mode information (e.g., as may ultimately be stored at the UE 115 as the subband full-duplex configuration information 606) from a wireless communication device (e.g., a base station 105).
[0132] According to some examples, the RRC signaling received by the UE may include information other than the subband frequency configuration mode information and the subband symbol and time slot configuration mode information. For example, the RRC signaling may include time slot periodicity information, information about multiple time slot periodicity options, subband full duplex time slot offset information, etc.
[0133] In some implementations, RRC signaling may be received by the UE to facilitate semi-statically configuring the UE for sub-band full-duplex communication. The sub-band frequency configuration pattern information and the sub-band symbol and slot time configuration pattern information may include information to facilitate semi-static configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands, as may be semi-statically implemented by the UE for wireless communication with one or more wireless communication devices (e.g., network elements).
[0134] In some implementations, RRC signaling may be received by the UE to facilitate dynamically configuring the UE for sub-band full-duplex communication. The sub-band frequency configuration mode information and the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information may include information that facilitates pre-configuration or partial pre-configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands, such as may be dynamically implemented by the UE for wireless communication with one or more wireless communication devices. One or more sub-band full-duplex configurations that implement selected sub-bands in the pre-configured downlink sub-bands, uplink sub-bands, and / or guard bands may be dynamically selected and / or activated by the UE via received signaling (e.g., MAC-CE signaling 672 and / or DCI signaling 673).
[0135] At block 1202, the UE determines at least one sub-band frequency configuration mode based on the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and determines at least one sub-band symbol and time slot configuration mode based on the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information. For example, the sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 may utilize the sub-band frequency configuration mode information and the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information (e.g., as received via RRC signaling 671 and / or as may be stored as sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606) to configure the UE for wireless communication via one or more links of sub-band full-duplex communication.
[0136] In some implementations, the subband frequency configuration pattern information may include information about one or more RB sets for one or more downlink subbands and one or more RB sets for one or more uplink subbands for a subband frequency configuration pattern for implementing a semi-static subband full-duplex configuration. The subband full-duplex configuration logic 605 may determine RBs for one or more guard bands of the subband frequency configuration pattern based on the configured downlink and uplink subbands of this example.
[0137] In some implementations, the sub-band frequency configuration pattern information may include information about one or more uplink / downlink modes and start and end information of one or more guard bands for implementing the sub-band frequency configuration pattern used in implementing the semi-static sub-band full-duplex configuration. The sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 may determine the RBs of the downlink sub-bands and uplink sub-bands of the sub-band frequency configuration pattern according to the configured guard bands of this example.
[0138] In some implementations, the subband frequency configuration pattern information may include information about the start and end information of one or more guard bands and information indicating uplink or downlink subbands of one or more uplink / downlink modes for implementing the semi-static subband full-duplex configuration. The subband full-duplex configuration logic 605 may determine the RBs of the downlink subbands and uplink subbands of the subband frequency configuration pattern according to the configured guard bands of this example.
[0139] In some implementations, the sub-band symbol and slot time configuration pattern information may include information about the number of slots and / or symbols for each sub-band symbol and slot time configuration pattern, a start symbol and an end symbol for each sub-band symbol and slot time configuration pattern, etc. The sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 may determine a time configuration for a sub-band full-duplex frequency mode based on information about a start symbol i and an end symbol j of a sub-band full-duplex symbol to be configured as provided by the sub-band symbol and slot time configuration pattern information.
[0140] In operation according to some examples, the sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 may determine one or more sub-band full-duplex configurations to be semi-statically implemented by the UE using the sub-band frequency configuration mode information, the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information, and / or further information determined therefrom. For example, the UE may semi-statically implement a sub-band full-duplex communication session according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration mode and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode.
[0141] According to some examples, information other than the subband frequency configuration pattern information and the subband symbol and time slot time configuration pattern information (e.g., as may be received via RRC signaling 671 and / or stored as subband full-duplex configuration information 606) may be used by the subband full-duplex configuration logic 605 to determine one or more semi-static subband full-duplex configurations to be implemented by the UE. For example, time slot periodicity information, subband full-duplex time slot offset information, etc. may be used to determine the time configuration of the subband full-duplex frequency pattern of the one or more semi-static subband full-duplex configurations.
[0142] In some implementations, the subband frequency configuration pattern information and the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern information may include pre-configured information about the subband frequency configuration pattern and the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern used in implementing the dynamic subband full-duplex configuration. For example, the subband frequency configuration pattern information may include information about a first number (e.g., T1) of subband frequency configuration patterns, and the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern information may include information about a second number (e.g., T2) of subband symbol and time slot configuration patterns (e.g., as may be received and / or stored as subband full-duplex configuration information 606 via RRC signaling 671), which may be used by the UE to implement one or more dynamic subband full-duplex configurations. The information about the first number T1 of subband frequency configuration patterns and the second number T2 of subband symbol and time slot configuration patterns may be in the form of the examples described above regarding the subband frequency configuration pattern information and the subband symbol and time slot configuration pattern information used for the semi-static subband full-duplex configuration. Thus, the sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 may similarly use the information to determine one or more sub-band full-duplex configurations to be dynamically implemented by the UE. For example, the UE may dynamically implement a sub-band full-duplex communication session according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration pattern in the first number T1 sub-band frequency configuration patterns and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration pattern in the second number T2 sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration patterns.
[0143] One or more subband full-duplex configurations that implement selected subbands in preconfigured downlink subbands, uplink subbands, and / or guard bands may be dynamically selected and / or activated by the UE via received signaling (e.g., MAC-CE signaling 672 and / or DCI signaling 673). For example, the UE may receive MAC-CE signaling that includes subband frequency configuration mode activation information for activating a subband frequency mode according to at least one subband frequency mode in a first number T1 of subband frequency configuration modes and subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode activation information for activating a subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode in a second number T2 of subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may receive DCI signaling, the DCI signaling including subband frequency configuration mode selection information for selecting a subband frequency mode according to at least one subband frequency mode of the first number T1 subband frequency configuration modes and subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode selection information for selecting a subband symbol and time slot time configuration mode from the second number T2 subband symbol and time slot time configuration modes. The aforementioned MAC-CE and / or DCI signaling may also include information for the UE to select a periodicity for subband full-duplex communication.
[0144] In operation according to some examples, the sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 may determine one or more sub-band full-duplex configurations to be dynamically implemented by the UE using the sub-band frequency configuration mode information, the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode information, the sub-band frequency configuration mode activation information, the sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode activation information, and / or further information determined therefrom. For example, the UE may dynamically implement a sub-band full-duplex communication session according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration mode and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode.
[0145] In block 1203, the UE communicates via at least one uplink or downlink of a sub-band full-duplex communication session according to at least one sub-band frequency configuration mode and at least one sub-band symbol and time slot time configuration mode. For example, the UE 115 may operate in half-duplex mode according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration to establish and / or maintain a sub-band full-duplex communication session for communicating with a wireless communication device (e.g., a base station 105) via one or more uplinks or one or more downlinks of the sub-band full-duplex communication session. As another example, the UE 115 may operate in full-duplex mode according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration to establish and / or maintain a sub-band full-duplex communication session for communicating with one or more wireless communication devices via one or more uplinks and one or more downlinks of the sub-band full-duplex communication session. The wireless communication device that operates accordingly according to the sub-band full-duplex configuration to communicate with the UE via one or more uplinks and / or downlinks of the sub-band full-duplex communication session may operate in full-duplex mode or half-duplex mode.
[0146] Fig.13 is an example UE 115 (such as, for example, may correspond to) supporting sub-band full-duplex configuration (e.g., semi-static and / or dynamic configuration of one or more downlink sub-bands, one or more uplink sub-bands, and one or more guard bands) for wireless communication according to one or more aspects. Figure 1 , Figure 2 , Figure 5 and Figure 6 UE 115 may be configured to perform operations including referring to Fig.11 In some implementations, the UE 115 includes a block of the process 1100 described above. Figure 1 , Figure 2 , Figure 5 and Figure 61 and 1 . For example, the UE 115 includes a controller 280 that is used to execute logic or computer instructions stored in a memory 282 and control components of the UE 115 that provide the features and functionality of the UE 115. The UE 115 transmits and receives signals via the radios 1301a-r and antennas 252a-r under the control of the controller 280. The radios 1301a-r include various components and hardware, such as those shown in FIG. Figure 2 , illustrated for UE 115, includes modulators and demodulators 254a-r, a MIMO detector 256, a receive processor 258, a transmit processor 264, and a TX MIMO processor 266.
[0147] As shown, the memory 282 may include sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 and sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606. The sub-band full-duplex configuration logic 605 may be configured to control the UE 115 and / or its components to perform sub-band full-duplex configuration and wireless communication functions, such as those described above with reference to FIG. Figure 6 and Fig.12 The sub-band full-duplex configuration information 606 may be configured to store various data, parameters, etc. regarding sub-band full-duplex configuration and / or sub-band full-duplex communication usage, such as sub-band frequency configuration mode information, sub-band symbol and time slot information, including time slot periodicity information, information about multiple time slot periodicity options, sub-band full-duplex time slot offset information, etc. The UE 1115 may obtain information from one or more network entities (such as Figures 1 to 3 , Figure 5 , Figure 6 and Fig.10 The base station 105) receives signals or sends signals to the one or more network entities.
