Flow distribution method and device for multi-core CPU

Abstract

The invention relates to a flow distribution method and device for a multi-core CPU. The method comprises the following steps: respectively distributing a scheduling variable for each CPU of the multi-core CPU; distributing the obtained flow to each CPU (Central Processing Unit) of the multi-core CPU; each CPU obtains a corresponding scheduling variable; each CPU determines a target server based on the corresponding scheduling variable; and distributing the traffic to the target server for processing. According to the flow distribution method and device for the multi-core CPU, the calculation of weighted polling can be realized by adopting a lock-free mechanism, the concurrent processing capability of the multi-core CPU is fully utilized, and the weighted polling scheduling performance of load balancing equipment under a multi-core CPU architecture is remarkably improved.
