Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention belongs to the field of crop cultivation and relates to a planting method for improving the yield of double-season rice in medium- and low-yield rice fields in the south. Background Art
[0002] The area of medium and low-yield farmland in my country accounts for as much as 70% of the total cultivated land area. Improving medium and low-yield farmland can not only alleviate the food crisis, but also restore and protect the agricultural ecosystem. In different regions, different types of low-yield farmland are improved and transformed from aspects such as biotechnology improvement (such as introducing high-efficiency nitrogen-fixing strains and breeding stress-resistant crop varieties), chemical technology improvement (such as applying soil conditioners and precision fertilization), physical improvement (such as deep tillage and loosening the soil, building drainage and irrigation systems), soil fertilization improvement (such as increasing the application of organic fertilizers and promoting straw return to the field) and comprehensive technology improvement (such as integrated water and fertilizer integration, reasonable matching of crop planting and other agronomic measures). The current improvement measures are mainly engineering measures, biological measures and agricultural measures. Although these measures can achieve the purpose of improving soil fertility to a certain extent, they also have disadvantages, such as high initial costs, insignificant short-term effects, damage to ecological balance, environmental risks, water resource pressure and poor climate adaptability. Therefore, when implementing improvement measures for medium and low-yield farmland, it is necessary to comprehensively consider soil characteristics, regional resource conditions and socio-economic factors, and adopt scientific and sustainable improvement plans.
[0003] The traditional double-season rice planting system is the main agricultural production method in the southern region. However, there is often a large area of winter idle fields in the winter after double-season rice planting, resulting in low resource utilization. Moreover, the medium and low-yield fields in the south (such as Guangdong, Jiangxi, and Hunan) generally have problems such as soil acidification, compaction, and low organic matter content, which seriously restrict the improvement of agricultural productivity. The cultivation method adopted to increase the rice yield in medium and low-yield fields is mostly to plant green manure crops, but we found that the differences in adaptability of different winter crops to soil and climate, the economic benefit evaluation of rotation patterns, and technical support all restrict the increase in the yield of medium and low-yield rice fields. Therefore, it is an urgent problem for technicians in this field to develop, explore and promote the best rotation model suitable for medium and low-yield fields in the south, and provide a scientific basis for achieving high-yield and efficient agriculture and ecological sustainability. Summary of the invention
[0004] Based on this, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a planting method for increasing the yield of medium and low-yield rice fields under the double-season rice system. The method uses a water-dry rotation cultivation method, that is, dry farming in winter and water farming in early and late seasons, and selects suitable crops to play a positive role in enhancing soil fertility and improving soil structure, thereby increasing the total annual rice yield.
[0005] To achieve the above purpose, the following technical solutions are included.
[0006] A planting method for increasing the yield of double-season rice in medium- and low-yield paddy fields, comprising the following steps:
[0007] S1. In mid-to-late November of the first year, on the medium-to-low-yield fields that need to be improved, the fields are plowed and ridges are formed to plant potatoes; in mid-March of the second year, the potatoes are harvested and their straw is returned to the fields;
[0008] S2. In late March of the second year, the fields are soaked, plowed and leveled, and then early-season rice is transplanted on the prepared fields in early April. The early-season rice is harvested in mid-July of the second year, and the rice straw is returned to the fields;
[0009] S3. In late July of the second year, the fields are soaked, plowed and leveled, and then late-season rice is transplanted on the prepared fields in early August. The late-season rice is harvested in mid-November of the second year, and the rice straw is returned to the fields;
[0010] S4. Repeat steps S1 to S3 to carry out the next round of crop rotation.
[0011] In some embodiments, the low- and medium-yield rice fields are located in the south, preferably in the low- and medium-yield rice fields in South China. Further, the South China is the double-season rice planting area in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, and Hainan.
[0012] In some embodiments, when ridges are formed to plant potatoes in step S1, the ridge height is 0.2-0.25 m, the ridge width is 0.7-0.8 m, and the ridge spacing is 0.3-0.4 m.
[0013] In some of the embodiments, the potatoes are planted in double rows on ridges, with a plant spacing of 0.2-0.25 m and a row spacing of 0.3-0.4 m.
[0014] In some of the embodiments, the potato is of Kunyuan 9 variety.
[0015] In some embodiments, after ridge formation in step S1, digging trenches on the ridge body for fertilization is performed, and the fertilization is applied at one time according to the ratio of organic fertilizer to compound fertilizer = 2:1, wherein the N+P in the compound fertilizer is 2 O 5 +K 2 O≥41%, N, P, K follow the ratio of 12-11-18.
[0016] In some of the embodiments, in step S2 and step S3, plowing and leveling the field means flooding the field with water and then plowing 1 to 2 times with a plowing depth of 0.2 to 0.3 m, so that the winter crop straw is turned over and buried to ensure deep accelerated decomposition, which is beneficial to the growth of rice roots.
[0017] In some embodiments, the rice is Erguangxiangzhan No. 3 rice variety.
[0018] The present invention provides a planting method for increasing the yield of medium - low - yield paddy fields under the double - cropping rice system. This method enhances the fertilizer - retaining capacity of medium - low - yield paddy fields and increases the soil organic matter and carbon content, especially the soil stable carbon content, which shows a highly significant increase after the late rice harvest, by planting suitable winter cash crops - potatoes and through the paddy - dry rotation cultivation method in the double - cropping rice planting in the south. These soil improvement effects further promote the increase in the relative chlorophyll content of rice leaves and the enhancement of photosynthesis efficiency, thus having a positive impact on the morphological growth of rice and ultimately increasing the yield of double - cropping rice. [0076] Test Example 1
[0077] According to the method of winter crop and double-season rice rotation cultivation described in Examples 1-3, a field test was conducted. The test site was set up in the low-yield rice field ( Figure 1 ), the physical and chemical properties of the soil in the 0-20 cm soil layer of the selected fields before the experiment are shown in Table 1.
[0078] Table 1 Physical and chemical properties of basic soil in the test area
[0079]
[0080] According to the relevant standards of the second national soil census, the soil is classified as follows: Grades 1 to 2 are high fertility plots, Grades 3 to 4 are medium fertility plots, and Grades 5 and below are low fertility plots:
[0081] Table 2 Classification standards of main soil nutrients
[0082]
[0083] This test case sets up 4 treatments, each treatment plot is 8×7m, each treatment is repeated 3 times, and there are 12 plots in total:
[0084] (1) Comparative Example 1 (WR);
[0085] (2) Example 1 (PR);
[0086] (3) Example 2 (OR);
[0087] (4) Example 3 (CR);
[0088] The experiment was carried out according to the set treatment. Three holes were randomly selected from each treatment plot at the tillering stage, booting stage, flowering stage, and maturity stage of rice. The fully expanded second leaf was used as the object, and the SPAD ( Figure 2 ) and the net photosynthetic rate was measured using the LI-6800 portable photosynthetic meter ( Figure 3 ). Three holes were randomly selected from each treatment plot to investigate the rice plant height at the rice seedling stage, tillering stage, booting stage, flowering stage, and maturity stage ( Figure 4 ), above-ground and below-ground biomass ( Figure 5 At the rice harvest period, three rice holes were randomly selected from each treatment plot to determine the number of tillers ( Figure 6 ) and theoretical yield ( Figure 7 ), and randomly select 1m 2Area to collect and calculate actual output ( Figure 8 After rice harvest, the original soil column of 0-20 cm soil layer was collected to determine the soil bulk density; the soil of 0-20 cm soil layer was collected by 5-point sampling method in each treatment plot and mixed into a soil sample. The cation exchange capacity was determined by hexaammine cobalt trichloride extraction spectrophotometry, the total carbon and total nitrogen in the soil were determined by elemental analyzer (Table 3), and the soil organic carbon content was determined by potassium dichromate oxidation method ( Fig. 9 ) and calculated the organic matter content. The soil active organic carbon was determined using 0.333 mol·L -1 Potassium permanganate colorimetric determination ( Fig.10 ), and the soil steady-state carbon content was calculated according to the formula: steady-state carbon = total organic carbon - active organic carbon ( Fig.11 ). The result data is as follows Figure 2 to Figure 11 , as shown in Table 3.
[0089] The relative chlorophyll content and net photosynthetic rate of rice at different important growth stages are as follows Figure 2 , Figure 3 As shown, compared with Comparative Example 1, Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3 improve the SPAD of the tillering stage, booting stage, and flowering stage of early rice and the tillering stage, booting stage, and flowering stage of late rice. After taking Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3, the net photosynthetic rate of double-season rice is improved to a certain extent, which is mainly reflected in late rice.
[0090] For the morphological growth of rice in medium and low-yield fields, the results obtained are as follows Figure 4 , Figure 5 As shown, compared with Comparative Example 1, the treatments of Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3 can significantly increase the plant height and biomass of early rice and late rice at different growth stages, which is mainly beneficial to the accumulation of aboveground biomass, and the increase in Example 1 is more significant. The effect of increasing the number of tillers of early rice and late rice under the treatments of Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3 is better than that of Comparative Example 1 (see Figure 6 ), among which the effect of Example 1 is more significant. For the change of rice yield in medium and low yield fields, from Figure 7 , Figure 8 It can be seen that the theoretical yield and actual yield of early rice and late rice under the cultivation modes of Example 1, Example 2 and Example 3 are higher than those of the cultivation mode of Comparative Example 1, among which the mode of Example 1 is the best.
[0091] As for the soil changes in medium- and low-yield rice fields, the data in Table 3 show that after adopting the crop rotation cultivation methods of Examples 1, 2, and 3 of the present invention, the soil bulk density of medium- and low-yield rice fields is lower than that of Comparative Example 1, and the change in Example 1 is the most obvious. At the same time, compared with the winter fallow field of Comparative Example 1, the method of planting potatoes in Example 1 of the present invention shows certain advantages in soil improvement effect, which is specifically reflected in the improvement of soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), and the increase of soil organic matter, total carbon and total nitrogen content. In addition, compared with Comparative Example 1, the content of soil organic carbon and stable carbon after early rice and late rice harvest in the mode of Example 1 is increased (see Fig. 9 , Fig.11 ), wherein the steady-state carbon content of the soil increases significantly after the harvest of late rice. In general, the increasing trend of potato planting is more significant than that of rapeseed and astragalus. The active carbon content of the soil in the modes of Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3 all shows a decreasing trend after the harvest of early rice, and an increasing trend after the harvest of late rice. These improvements indicate that the planting method of the present invention has a positive effect in enhancing soil fertility and improving soil structure.
[0092] The results of this test case show that planting dryland crops (potatoes) in medium- and low-yield rice fields in winter can enhance soil looseness, improve soil fertilizer retention capacity, and increase soil organic matter and carbon content compared to leaving the fields idle in winter. These soil improvement effects further promote the increase in the relative content of chlorophyll in rice leaves and the enhancement of photosynthesis efficiency, thereby having a positive impact on the morphological growth of rice and ultimately increasing rice yields. Among them, the yield-increasing effect of planting cash crops such as potatoes in winter is particularly significant (see Figure 7-Figure 11 ).
