A method for generating media content, comprising: presenting a generation interface associated with a virtual object, the virtual object being created based on a configuration operation of a user; obtaining a reference media content based on a user operation in the generation interface; and presenting a target media content, the target media content being generated based on a figurative data of the virtual object and the reference media content.

The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining the reference media content based on the user operation in the generation interface comprises: providing an adding entry in the generation interface; presenting a set of candidate media contents in response to receiving a trigger on the adding entry; and obtaining the reference media content based on a selection on the reference media content in the set of candidate media contents.

The method of claim 1, further comprising: providing a parameter configuration control in the generation interface; and obtaining a target parameter for generating the target media content via the parameter configuration control, the target parameter being used to indicate a reference degree of the reference media content in a generation process.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising: presenting a plurality of templates in the generation interface; and receiving a selection on a target template in the plurality of templates, such that the target media content is further generated based on the target template.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising: obtaining a prompt item input by the user via the generation interface, such that the target media content is further generated based on the prompt item.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the target media content comprises visual content corresponding to the virtual object.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising: receiving a request to publish the target media content; and displaying a viewing interface of the target media content, the viewing interface displaying the target media content and the reference media content.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the target media content is a first target media content, and the reference media content comprises a second target media content.

The method of claim 1, the target media content being generated based on a process comprising: generating a description text of the reference media content and determining a picture structure of the reference media content; and generating the target media content based on the description text, the picture structure and the figurative data of the virtual object.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the generating the target media content further comprises: generating the target media content based on a prompt item input by the user and / or a target template selected by the user.
