A modified sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and its preparation method

Abstract

This invention discloses a modified sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and its preparation method in the field of composite materials. The method involves first dissolving CMC in water to obtain a solution, and simultaneously ultrasonically treating a multi-scale heterogeneous nano-flower-like hydrotalcite-silicon hybrid material and a dispersant in water to obtain a slurry. The two materials are then mixed and stirred under gentle heating to obtain a blended composite liquid. Finally, the modified CMC product is obtained through casting, segmented heat treatment, and grinding. The hybrid material is prepared by synergistic modification of hydrotalcite with bifunctional silanes, further compounded with silica via a sol-gel method, and finally treated with an initiator in an aqueous phase. This hybrid material significantly improves the compatibility and interaction with the CMC matrix. The process conditions of this invention are mild, the operation is simple, and the resulting product exhibits excellent comprehensive performance, showing application potential in the field of composite materials.
