[0089] In the embodiments of this application, the term "and / or" describes the relationship between associated objects, indicating that three relationships can exist. For example, A and / or B can represent three cases: A alone, A and B simultaneously, and B alone. The character " / " generally indicates that the preceding and following associated objects have an "or" relationship.

[0090] In the embodiments of this application, the term "multiple" refers to two or more, and other quantifiers are similar.

[0091] The technical solutions of the embodiments of this application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Obviously, the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of this application, and not all of the embodiments. Based on the embodiments of this application, all other embodiments obtained by those of ordinary skill in the art without creative effort are within the scope of protection of this application.

[0092] This application provides a method and apparatus for selecting distributed network nodes, so that the selected distributed network nodes meet the needs of the terminal.

[0093] The method and apparatus are based on the same concept of the application. Since the methods and apparatus solve problems in similar ways, the implementation of the apparatus and methods can refer to each other, and the repeated parts will not be described again.

[0094] See Figure 1 , Figure 1 This is a flowchart of a distributed network node selection method provided in an embodiment of this application, applied to a terminal, such as... Figure 1 As shown, it includes the following steps:

[0095] Step 101: Select the target distributed network node based on the first information.

[0096] The first information refers to the correspondence between PLMN ID, DNID, and access technology, or the first information refers to the correspondence between DNID and access technology. Access technology includes, but is not limited to, New Radio (NR). The specific implementation of this correspondence is not limited here; for example, the first information can be presented in a list format.

[0097] In this embodiment of the application, the DNID assigned to distributed network nodes follows the following principles:

[0098] (1) DNID is assigned by the PLMN to which the distributed network node belongs during the deployment of the distributed network.

[0099] (2) The assigned DNID is independent of the PLMN ID to which it belongs and is unique within the PLMN to which it belongs, that is, the combination of PLMN ID and DNID is unique globally; or, the DNID is unique globally.

[0100] In other words, a distributed network node can be identified by a combination of PLMN ID and DNID, or by DNID alone. In the former case, the first piece of information can be the correspondence between PLMN ID, DNID, and access technology; in the latter case, the first piece of information can be the correspondence between DNID and access technology.

[0101] In this embodiment, the terminal can also receive system messages broadcast by a network device (such as a base station) to obtain one or more PLMN IDs and a list of DNIDs supported by the network device. Correspondingly, the terminal can receive a third message sent by the network device, wherein the third message includes:

[0102] One or more PLMN IDs; a list of DNIDs that the network device supports accessing.

[0103] The terminal's contract information includes one or more of the following:

[0104] The terminal's subscribed PLMN ID list and DNID list (corresponding to the case where distributed network nodes are identified by a combination of PLMN ID and DNID), or the terminal's subscribed DNID list (corresponding to the case where distributed network nodes are identified only by DNID);

[0105] The terminal supports a list of DNID priority levels, which is used to reflect the priority of each DNID.

[0106] In this embodiment, the first information can be set as an independent data file in the USIM, SIM, or the terminal; alternatively, it can be set in one or more of the following lists or data files of the USIM, SIM, or the terminal; or, the first information can be set both as an independent data file in the USIM, SIM, or the terminal, and also in one or more of the following lists or data files of the USIM, SIM, or the terminal.

[0107] List of PLMN and EHPLMN;

[0108] User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology;

[0109] Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology.

[0110] 1. If the first information is set as an independent data file in the USIM, SIM or the terminal, the first information has a higher priority than the EHPLMN list, User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology and Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology.

[0111] In other words, under these circumstances, the terminal can determine the target distributed network node when selecting a PLMN. When determining the target distributed network node, the terminal can read the first information and select the distributed network node corresponding to the highest priority DNID in the first information as the target distributed network node. If the first information is empty, PLMN selection can be performed; alternatively, the selection of a distributed network node can be performed by combining the first information set in the USIM, SIM, or the terminal's list or data file.

[0112] This independent data file can be prioritized according to the terminal's network selection strategy. For example, if the terminal prefers to access distributed network nodes, this data file will be placed with the highest priority. Therefore, taking automatic selection mode as an example, the PLMN selection order would be:

[0113] i) First information, namely the correspondence between PLMN, DNID, and access technology;

[0114] ii) HPLMN (if the EHPLMN list does not exist or is empty) or the highest priority EHPLMN available (if the EHPLMN list exists);

[0115] ii) The combination of each PLMN and access technology in the “User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology” data file in the SIM card (arranged in order of priority);

[0116] iii) The combination of PLMN and access technology in the "Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology" data file in the SIM card (in order of priority) or the combination of PLMN and access technology stored in the terminal (in order of priority);

[0117] iv) Combinations of other PLMNs and access technologies that receive high-quality signals, arranged in random order.

[0118] v) The correspondence between other PLMNs and access technologies, arranged in descending order of signal quality.

[0119] 2. If the first information is set in one or more lists or data files of the USIM, SIM, or the terminal, the first information has the highest priority in the EHPLMN list, the User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology, and the Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology. For example, the first information has a higher priority than the existing EHPLMN and access technology list (EHPLMN / Access Technology List) in the EHPLMN list; the first information has a higher priority than the existing PLMN and access technology combination (PLMN / Access Technology Combination) in the User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology; and the first information has a higher priority than the existing PLMN and access technology combination (PLMN / Access Technology Combination) in the Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology.

[0120] In this scenario, if the first information is set in one or more lists or data files in the USIM, SIM, or terminal, or if the first information is set as an independent data file in the USIM, SIM, or terminal and is empty, the terminal can first read the first information from the aforementioned lists or data files to determine the target distributed network node. For example, the terminal can determine the target distributed network node by sequentially reading information from the EHPLMN list, the User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology, and the Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology. Specifically, the terminal can select the target distributed network node as follows:

[0121] First, the terminal reads the USIM or SIM or the EHPLMN list in the terminal.

[0122] If the EHPLMN list is not empty and includes the first information, the terminal selects the distributed network node corresponding to the highest priority DNID in the first information as the target distributed network node. If the EHPLMN list is empty, the terminal reads the USIM, SIM, or the User ControlledPLMN Selector with Access Technology from the terminal. If the EHPLMN list is not empty but does not include the first information, PLMN selection is performed.

[0123] If the User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology is not empty and includes the first information, the terminal selects the distributed network node corresponding to the highest priority DNID in the first information as the target distributed network node. If the User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology is empty, the terminal reads the Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology from the USIM, SIM, or the terminal. If the User Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology is not empty and does not include the first information, PLMN selection is performed.

[0124] If the Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology is not empty and includes the first information, the terminal selects the distributed network node corresponding to the highest priority DNID in the first information as the target distributed network node. If the Operator Controlled PLMN Selector with Access Technology is not empty and does not include the first information, PLMN selection is performed.

[0125] The aforementioned first piece of information can be set in the form of a PLMN selector, allowing the terminal to prioritize the selection of distributed network nodes. If a distributed network node cannot be selected, the terminal will then select a PLMN. The network selection priority order is determined using a PLMN / DNID / access technology combination list.

[0126] In this way, the terminal selects the target distributed network node based on the first information, which makes the selected distributed network node more in line with the terminal's needs, thereby avoiding the occurrence of terminal data routing or distributed network node redirection.

[0127] In this embodiment, the first information can also be updated. The terminal can receive a second message sent by a first distributed network node, wherein the second message is used to update all or part of the information in the first information. The first distributed network node refers to a distributed network node with updatable information. The all or part of the information may refer to one or more pieces of information in the first information.

[0128] For example, the first distributed network node can update the first information through Non-Access Stratum (NAS) signaling during or after the registration process, and the terminal can determine whether the content of the first information has been updated based on the received signaling.

[0129] See Figure 2 , Figure 2 This is a flowchart of a distributed network node selection method provided in an embodiment of this application, applied to network devices, such as... Figure 2 As shown, it includes the following steps:

[0130] Step 201: Receive a first message sent by the terminal. The first message includes the identifier of the target distributed network node selected by the terminal, or the first message includes the identifier of the target distributed network node and the target PLMN ID corresponding to the identifier of the target distributed network node.

[0131] Step 202: Determine the target distributed network node based on the first message.

[0132] Here, since a distributed network node can be uniquely identified by the PLMN ID and DNID, or by the DNID alone, the network device can accurately determine the target distributed network node based on this first information.

[0133] Optionally, in this embodiment, the network device sends a third message to the terminal, thereby facilitating the terminal's determination of the distributed network node it wishes to access. The third message includes:

[0134] One or more PLMN IDs;

[0135] The network device supports access to the DNID list.

[0136] In this embodiment, the terminal selects a target distributed network node based on the first information, thereby making the selected distributed network node more in line with the terminal's needs and thus avoiding the occurrence of terminal data routing or distributed network node redirection.

[0137] See Figure 3This diagram illustrates the terminal registration process. During registration, the terminal should indicate its PLMN and DNID to the Radio Access Network (RAN). The RAN then determines the specific distributed network node to serve the terminal based on the PLMN ID and DNID. This process may include:

[0138] Step 301: The User Equipment (UE) initiates a registration process (which can be initial registration, periodic registration, or mobile update registration). The AN parameters (access network parameters) of the Registration Request message sent by the UE should include a DNID element, such as the DNID of the target distributed network node selected by the terminal and the corresponding PLMN ID.

[0139] Step 302: The RAN determines the target distributed network node based on the PLMN ID and DNID, and selects the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) for the terminal from the target distributed network node.

[0140] Step 303: The RAN sends a Registration-Request message to the AMF.

[0141] Steps 304-305: The new AMF obtains the UE's context information from the old AMF.

[0142] Steps 306-307: AMF obtains the UE's ID information.

[0143] Step 308: Select the Authentication Server Function (AUSF) in the AMF.

[0144] Step 309: Authentication process between UE and core network.

[0145] Step 310: The new AMF notifies the old AMF of the registration result.

[0146] Step 311, ID Acquisition Process.

[0147] Step 312: AMF requests Equipment Identity Register (EIR) to check the validity of MEID.

[0148] Step 313: Select the Unified Data Management (UDM) entity.

[0149] Steps 314a-c: The AMF registers the UE with the UDM; it obtains the UE's access and mobility subscription data, Session Management Function (SMF) subscription selection data, and UE context information in the SMF from the UDM.

[0150] Step 314d: UDM notifies the old AMF to register the UE, and the old AMF deletes the UE context and other information.

[0151] Step 314e: The old AMF cancels the terminal subscription from the UDM.

[0152] Steps 315-316: If the AMF does not yet have valid access and mobility policy information for the UE, then select an appropriate Policy Control Function (PCF) to obtain the UE's access and mobility policy information.

[0153] Step 317: Protocol Data Unit (PDU) Session Update.

[0154] Steps 318-319: Notify the Non-3GPP InterWorking Function (N3IWF). The old AMF triggers the Policy Association termination process.

[0155] Steps 321 and 321b: The new AMF sends a Registration-Accept message to the UE. The new AMF and PCF establish policy association.

[0156] Step 322: The UE replies to the network with a registration completion message.

[0157] Steps 323, 323a: If the access and mobility subscription data packet obtained by the AMF in step 313b contains an indication that roaming guidance (SOR) information needs to be confirmed, the AMF will use this step to confirm with the UDM.

[0158] Step 324a: The new AMF sends an N2 message to the RAN.

[0159] Step 324: The AMF will send a "Homogeneous support for IMS voice over PS session" instruction to the UDM using Nudm_UECM_Update.

[0160] In the above embodiments, the terminal determines the distributed network node that serves it when selecting the network, thus avoiding the occurrence of terminal data routing or distributed network node redirection caused by the RAN selecting an unsuitable distributed network node.
