Abstract
This invention discloses a yttrium oxide superhydrophobic coating, its preparation method, and its application, belonging to the field of surface engineering and functional coating technology. The method includes: pre-treating a metal substrate by grinding, cleaning, and sandblasting; using atmospheric plasma spraying technology to spray spherical yttrium oxide powder with a purity of 99.9% onto the substrate surface, controlling the coating thickness to be 200-600 μm; transferring the sample to a vacuum chamber and placing it under a pressure of 30-50 Pa for 7-10 hours to obtain the superhydrophobic coating. This invention utilizes plasma spraying to construct a micro-nano composite rough structure and stabilizes surface oxygen vacancies through vacuum treatment to reduce surface energy. The resulting coating exhibits a static water contact angle as high as 161.5° and a roll-off angle of only 7.5°, possessing excellent self-cleaning, anti-corrosion, and anti-fouling properties, as well as high adhesion and high hardness. This invention has a short process flow, low cost, and is suitable for large-scale industrial production.
