Abstract

This invention discloses a modified bimetallic hydroxide butyl rubber composite material, its preparation method, and its applications. The composite material uses butyl rubber as a matrix and modified magnesium-aluminum layered bimetallic hydroxide as a filler. It is prepared using a combined method of ionic liquid intercalation functionalization modification, microemulsion preparation of core-shell prepolymers, electrostatic self-assembly dynamic vulcanization, and flat-plate vulcanization hot pressing. The filler content is 5-10% by mass, based on the matrix mass. The composite material synthesized by this invention has advantages such as high tensile strength and strong gas barrier properties, meeting the growing demand of modern industry for high-performance rubber materials.
