Lithium tailings-based self-catalyzed self-leveling mortar and preparation method thereof

By combining low-temperature calcination to activate lithium tailings with active micro powder, composite cementitious materials, and activators, the problems of low activity and limited dosage of lithium tailings in self-leveling mortar were solved, resulting in the preparation of high-performance self-leveling mortar and realizing large-scale resource utilization and environmental benefits of lithium tailings.

Abstract

The application discloses a lithium tailing-based self-activated self-leveling mortar and a preparation method thereof. The self-leveling mortar is prepared from raw materials in the following mass fractions: composite cementing material 25-40 parts, lithium tailing composite aggregate 45-65 parts, active micro powder 5-12 parts, composite activator 0.5-2.5 parts, water reducing agent 0.2-1.0 parts, defoaming agent 0.1-0.4 parts, water retaining agent 0.05-0.2 parts, retarder 0.05-0.15 parts, and water 18-25 parts. The lithium tailing composite aggregate is composed of lithium tailing activated by low-temperature calcination at 600-750 DEG C and primary lithium tailing in a mass ratio of 1:(2-4). The application converts the layered silicate in the lithium tailing into amorphous aluminosilicate phase by low-temperature calcination, and converts the alkali metal component into soluble alkali, forms a self-activated alkaline environment, and constructs a core-shell structure composite aggregate with active fine powder and primary coarse particles, thereby realizing efficient resource utilization of the lithium tailing. The application has the characteristics of large solid waste accommodation, excellent mechanical properties of the self-leveling mortar, good volume stability and low cost, and is suitable for large-scale industrial application.
