Organometallic complex, and method of preparation and use thereof

Abstract

A novel organometallic complex useful as an active ingredient in a fungicide applied to agricultural and horticultural crops, and a method for its production, are provided. The novel organometallic complex comprises triflumizole, a metal cation, and an organic acid anion. The organometallic complex can be produced by mixing triflumizole and / or a salt thereof; and at least one of the following components selected from the group consisting of an organic acid metal salt, a combination of an organic acid and a metal compound, and a combination of an organic acid salt and a metal compound. Examples of the metal element and the metal cation include zinc, copper, magnesium, calcium, nickel, cobalt, iron, and manganese.
