PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION CONTAINING ANTIBODY, CYCLODEXTRIN AND METHIONINE

Abstract

The invention relates to a liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof, cyclodextrin and methionine. Furthermore, it relates to a method of reducing the precipitation of an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof in a liquid pharmaceutical composition by adding methionine and cyclodextrin. Specifically. the liquid pharmaceutical composition comprises an anti-sclerostin antibody, hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin and methionine and can be used in the treatment of a bone disorder associated with at least one of the following: low bone formation, low bone density, low bone mineral content, low bone mass. low bone quality and low bone strength, and especially in the treatment of osteoporosis.Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of reducing injection site inflammation in a mammalian subject comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a liquid pharmaceutical formulation comprising an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof, cyclodextrin and methionine.
