Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an electronic control device according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] DE 10 2007 061 117 A1 discloses an electronic control unit, wherein contacting elements of an electronic assembly of the electronic control unit are connected to conductor wires via welded contact elements. Each welded contact element is connected, on the one hand, to the respective conductor wire via a crimp connection and, on the other hand, to the respective contacting element of the electronic assembly via a welded connection. Each welded contact element is tightly accommodated in a receiving chamber of a contact strip of a housing part. This tight fit prevents relative movement between the welded contact elements crimped to the conductor wires and the housing, and thus prevents relative movement between the welded contact elements and the contacting elements during the formation of the welded connection between them. Therefore, tension builds up in the welded joints, which can lead to damage to the electronic contact between the cable wires and the electronic assembly.
[0003] DE 10 2008 042 317 A1 shows a sensor, in particular a pressure sensor.
[0004] DE 10 2006 059 130 A1 discloses a surface-mountable contact element.
[0005] DE 10 2013 202 232 A1 shows a printed circuit board with heat-resistant conductor wire and a method for its production.
[0006] Based on this, the present invention is based on the object of creating a novel electronic control unit with an improved connection between the welding contact elements crimped to the cable ends and the contacting elements of the electronic assembly. This object is achieved by an electronic control unit according to claim 1.According to the invention, the housing, the welding contact elements and the conductor wires are designed in such a way that after the conductor wires and the welding contact elements crimped to the conductor wires have been arranged in the housing and during the welding of the welding contact elements to the contacting elements of the electronic assembly, a relative movement is possible on the one hand between the welding contact elements and the housing and on the other hand between the conductor wires and the housing, so that the welded connections between the welding contact elements crimped to the conductor wires and the contacting elements of the electronic assembly are stress-free.
[0007] In the electronic control unit according to the invention, the welded connections between the weld contact elements crimped to the cable wires and the contacting elements of the electronic assembly are stress-free. Therefore, there is no risk of damage to the contact between the cable wires and the electronic assembly due to stress in the welded connections. This can improve the contact between the cable wires and the electronic assembly of the electronic control unit.
[0008] According to an advantageous development, the welding contact elements protrude into recesses in the housing, wherein the recesses are contoured in such a way that they allow a settling movement of the welding contact elements toward the contacting elements of the electronic assembly caused during welding. These recesses in the housing preferably prevent any opposing movement of the welding contact elements prior to welding. This design of the recesses allows for a particularly advantageous, stress-free formation of the welded joints.
[0009] According to an advantageous development, the conductor wires extend into clamps of the housing, wherein the clamps are contoured in such a way that they allow the conductor wires to settle toward the electronic assembly during welding. These clamps of the housing preferably prevent any opposing movement of the conductor wires prior to welding. This design of the clamps also allows for a particularly advantageous design of stress-free welded connections between the welding contact elements and the contacting elements.
[0010] Preferably, the conductor wires extend further into guide combs of the housing, with the guide combs being contoured in such a way that they allow the conductor wires to settle toward the electronic assembly during welding. This feature also supports the stress-free formation of the welded connections between the welding contact elements crimped to the conductor wires and the contacting elements of the electronic assembly.
[0011] According to an advantageous development, a row of guide combs is arranged in front of and behind a row of clamps positioned side by side, extending transversely to the cable ends. These guide combs define a space for accommodating a sealing compound. This enables advantageous sealing in the area of the clamps.
[0012] Preferred developments emerge from the dependent claims and the following description. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail, without being limited thereto, with reference to the drawings. Herein: Fig. 1 shows a first perspective section of an electronic control unit according to the invention; Fig. 2 shows a second perspective section of the electronic control unit according to the invention; Fig. 3 a first cross section through the electronic control unit according to the invention; and Fig. 4 a second cross section through the electronic control unit according to the invention.
[0013] The present invention relates to an electronic control unit, in particular a control unit for a motor vehicle transmission.
[0014] Fig. 1 to 4 show different details of an electronic control unit 1 according to the invention, wherein a housing 2, an electronic assembly 3 in the form of a printed circuit board and several conductor wires 4 are shown from the electronic control unit 1.
[0015] The electronic assembly 3 of the control unit 1, namely the printed circuit board in the illustrated embodiment, has several contacting elements 5, with the conductor wires 4 being contacted to the contacting elements 5 via welded contact elements 6. In the illustrated embodiment, the contacting elements 5 are solder bridges.
[0016] The contacting of the conductor wires 4 with the contact elements 5 of the electronic assembly 3 via the welded contact elements 6 is carried out in such a way that each welded contact element 6 is electronically connected to one of the conductor wires 4 via a crimp connection 7 and to one of the contacting elements 5 of the electronic assembly 3 via a welded connection 8. The respective welded connection 8 is preferably designed as a resistance welded connection.
[0017] The housing 2, the welding contact elements 6 and the conductor wires 4 of the electronic control unit 1 are designed according to the invention such that after the conductor wires 4 and the welding contact elements 6 crimped to the conductor wires 4 have been arranged in the housing 2 and when the welding contact elements 6 are welded to the contacting elements 5 of the electronic assembly 3, on the one hand a relative movement between the welding contact elements 6 and the housing 2 and on the other hand a relative movement between the conductor wires 4 and the housing 2 is possible.
[0018] Accordingly, when forming the welded joints 8 between the welded contact elements 6 and the contacting elements 5, a relative movement is also possible between the welded contact elements 6 and the contacting elements 5, as well as between the conductor wires 4 and the contacting elements 5. Welded joints 8 formed during welding between the welded contact elements 6 crimped to the conductor wires 4 and the contacting elements 5 of the electronic assembly 3 are then stress-free, so that they are not exposed to any mechanical stress from forces and moments resulting from stresses within the welded joints 8. Therefore, there is no risk of the electrical contact between the conductor wires 4 and the electronic assembly 3 being damaged due to stresses in the welded joints 8.
[0019] As already explained, the electronic assembly 3 is preferably a printed circuit board, wherein the contacting elements 5 of the printed circuit board are preferably designed as so-called solder bridges.
[0020] How best Fig. 3, the welding contact elements 6 protrude into recesses 9 of the housing 2 at an end opposite the crimp connections 7, said recesses 9 being contoured in such a way that they permit a setting movement of the welding contact elements 6 caused during welding, which is caused by placing a welding tool on the welding contact elements 6, in the direction of the contacting elements 5 of the electronic assembly 3. An opposite movement of the welding contact elements 6 before welding them to the contacting elements 5 is, however, preferably prevented by the recesses of the housing 9.
[0021] The cable wires 4 extend into brackets 10 of the housing 2, whereby according to Fig. 4, each clamp 10 is defined by two clamp halves 11, 12. The clamps 10 are contoured in such a way that they allow a settling movement of the conductor wires 4 toward the electronic assembly 3 caused during welding, whereas the clamps 10 preferably prevent an opposite movement of the conductor wires 4 before welding.
[0022] Then, when a force or a moment is exerted on the cable wires 4 pre-assembled in the housing 2 and the welding contact elements 6 crimped to the cable wires 4 during welding by placing a welding electrode on the welding contact elements 6, the respective cable wire 4 together with the welding contact element 6 crimped to the respective cable wire 4 can execute a setting movement in the direction of the electronic assembly 3 and thus in the direction of the respective contacting element 5 of the electronic assembly 3, so that after the formation of the welded connection 8 between the respective contacting element 5 of the electronic assembly 3 and the respective welding contact element 6, the welded connection 8 is stress-free.Therefore, there is no risk that the contacting elements 5 designed as solder bridges will become detached from the assembly 3 and thus the electrical contact between the cable wires 4 and the electronic assembly 3 will be interrupted.
[0023] The housing 2 provides, viewed in the direction of the cable wires 4, a row of several clamps 10 positioned next to one another, running transversely to the cable wires 4.
[0024] Viewed in the direction of the cable wires 4, a row of guide combs 13 is arranged both in front of and behind this row of adjacently positioned clamps 10. The guide combs 13 are contoured in such a way that they also allow the settling movement of the cable wires 4 towards the electronic assembly 3 caused during welding. However, the guide combs 13 are open at the top, so that they in principle allow an opposite movement of the cable wires 4 before welding, although this opposite movement is prevented by the clamps 10.
[0025] The two rows of guide combs 13, which extend both in front of and behind the clamps 10 as seen in the longitudinal direction of the cable wires 4, together delimit a space 14 for receiving a sealing compound (not shown) in order to seal or pot the cable wires 4 in the area of the clamps 10 with a sealing compound or a potting compound after the formation of the welded joints 8.
[0026] Preferably, the entire space delimited by the housing 2 is cast with this sealing compound or casting compound, i.e. also the area in which the welding contact elements 6 extend after the formation of the welded joints 8.
[0027] The casting of the electrical contact of the cable wires 4 with the electronic assembly 3 is particularly advantageous for transmission control units, especially when they are installed in an oil-carrying receiving chamber.
