Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle having a lamp that effectively informs other vehicles or pedestrians of a moving direction of a vehicle by illuminating a turn signal lamp or a reversing lamp according to a signal.
[0002] DE 100 11 843 A1 discloses a motor vehicle lamp with a plurality of light-emitting diodes. Various signaling functions, in particular indicators, brake lights, and tail lights, can be adjusted by changing parameters of the illuminated area, such as size, shape, and placement within the area defined by the lamp.
[0003] US 2012 / 0 075 875 A1 discloses a motor vehicle lamp and a method for controlling the same, and in particular, a motor vehicle lamp that can inform a surrounding vehicle approaching from behind about the state of the vehicle by emitting light forming a road pattern indicating the state of the vehicle to at least an area behind the vehicle, and a method for controlling the same. The motor vehicle lamp includes a detection unit that detects a vehicle state, and lamp units controlled by a control unit that emit light forming a road pattern indicating the state of the vehicle to at least an area behind a vehicle.
[0004] DE 199 50 700 A1 discloses a motor vehicle lamp with at least one light source in a housing with at least one reflector and a first lens. To ensure that the lamp exhibits a desired color impression that is as homogeneous as possible from almost any viewing angle, and to enable the lamp to be manufactured cost-effectively, it is proposed that a second lens be arranged at least partially directly on the housing, which lens has a color. BACKGROUND
[0005] Generally, a preceding vehicle traveling in a dark area or at night has a system for providing information to following vehicles, such as a brake light R / L, a direction indicator (turn signal light R / L), a reversing light or a license plate light of the vehicle.
[0006] As an example, a tail lamp assembly includes a turn signal lamp for indicating a vehicle turning left or right, a reversing lamp for reversing, and a brake lamp that illuminates when the brakes are applied, such as when decelerating or stopping.
[0007] A turn signal switch (not shown) operates the turn signal, and a reverse switch (not shown) operates the backup light. The brake light is automatically illuminated by pressing a brake pedal (not shown).
[0008] The turn signal is used only for turning, and the reversing light is used only for reversing, thus limiting the design and visibility of a vehicle's taillight assembly. The taillight assembly, with its relatively small footprint, can become even more complicated by accommodating various lights.
[0009] The information disclosed above in this Background section is intended only to enhance the understanding of the background of the invention and may therefore contain information that does not constitute prior art already known to one of ordinary skill in the art. SUMMARY
[0010] The present disclosure has been made in an effort to provide advantages for a vehicle having a lamp by improving visibility to a driver of another vehicle or a pedestrian and flexibility of design using a common reversing light and a turn signal light according to a driving condition.
[0011] The present invention relates to a vehicle with a lamp according to claim 1.
[0012] According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a vehicle having a lamp may include a multi-lamp that emits light of a first color for reverse movement or light of a second color for turn movement. A turn signal is disposed proximate the multi-lamp to selectively emit light of the second color for turn movement. A controller is configured to control operation of the multi-lamp and the turn signal in response to a turn signal and a reverse signal for reverse movement of the vehicle. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the controller may control the multi-lamp and the turn signal to emit light of the second color when the turn signal is generated and control the multi-lamp to emit light of the first color for reverse movement when only the reverse signal is generated. The controller may further control the multiple light to emit light of the first color for reversing movement and the turn signal light to emit light of the second color for turning movement of a vehicle when both signals are generated simultaneously.
[0013] The multiple lamp and the indicator lamp may be arranged in a tail lamp unit arranged at a rear end portion of a vehicle.
[0014] The multi-beam light and the flashing light may comprise a plurality of light sources arranged along a predetermined line. The multi-beam light may use an LED to emit light.
[0015] According to the present disclosure, the multi-beam lamp may include a reversing light source for emitting light of the first color for reversing movement, and a turn signal light source disposed proximate to the reversing light source for emitting light of the second color for turning movement. The multi-beam lamp may further include a reflector for reflecting the light emitted by the reversing light source and the turn signal light source. The reflector includes a first reflector that reflects the light emitted by the reversing light source at a predetermined angle, and a second reflector disposed proximate to the first reflector that reflects the light emitted by the turn signal light source at a predetermined angle.
[0016] Both the reversing light source and the indicator light source of the multiple lamp can be arranged in a light-emitting area.
[0017] As described above, in a vehicle having a lamp, a multi-lamp performs a turn signal function together with a turn signal or a reversing light function according to a driving condition to improve visibility and to improve the flexibility of the design of the tail lamp unit.
[0018] As a vehicle moves forward, a portion of the turn signal is extended to improve visibility for a driver of another vehicle and the performance of the tail lamp assembly. Furthermore, costs can be saved by eliminating a separate reversing light. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a partial front view illustrating a lamp of a vehicle of the present disclosure.
