Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a glove with a cuff.
[0002] DE 21 19 452 A discloses a glove which is provided with a window made of transparent material in the wrist area.
[0003] DE 93 12 307 U1 describes a goalkeeper glove in which at least one transversely elastic element made of textile material is incorporated in the rear glove area.
[0004] From DE 19 39 107 U a goalkeeper glove is known which has an elastic stretch insert extending in its longitudinal direction.
[0005] From EP 0 657 190 A1 a glove is known which has a recess in the area of the upper side of the wrist.
[0006] Gloves for military and police, especially for special forces, are well known.
[0007] Such units increasingly use watches that are very bulky, i.e., very high. Wearing such a watch under the cuff of a conventional glove is often perceived as uncomfortable. Furthermore, reading the watch becomes difficult if it is completely or partially covered by the cuff.
[0008] The object of the present invention is to provide a glove which improves the wearing properties in connection with a thick watch and which enables easy reading of the watch.
[0009] This object is achieved according to the invention by a glove having the features of patent claim 1. The second material can be selected such that wearing a watch under the cuff of the glove is not perceived as unpleasant and reading the watch is made easier.
[0010] According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the recess can be semicircular or rectangular. With such shaped recesses, a second material of a corresponding shape can be provided, thus creating space for the watch under the cuff.
[0011] The cutout is at least partially shaped to match the shape of a wristwatch. This ensures optimal adjustment of the cuff to the shape of the watch.
[0012] Particular advantages arise when the second material is flexible. This allows the second material to be easily slid off the watch or lifted to read the time. Furthermore, the second material can adapt to the shape of the watch.
[0013] The second material is made of elastic or bi-elastic material. The second material preferably has a longitudinal elongation of > 10%, preferably > 20%, and / or a transverse elongation of > 20%, in particular > 30%. The transverse elongation is preferably greater than the longitudinal elongation. It can be a knitted or warp-knitted fabric.
[0014] The second material can be made of viscose and elastane, with the viscose content preferably being > 70% and the elastane content preferably being > 10%. The second material can be flame-resistant. It can be roughened on one side. Furthermore, the second material can be made of Kevlar.
[0015] In order to ensure a secure bond between the first and the second material, it can be provided that the second material is sewn into the recess, in particular the first and the second material are connected by a seam.
[0016] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first material can be elastic. This allows the cuff to adapt particularly well to the wearer's arm or wrist, as well as the watch attached to it. The first material can have an elongation of > 10%, in particular > 15%. It can be designed as a rubber band. It can contain polyester, elastadiene, and polyamide. It can be designed as a woven fabric.
[0017] The glove is particularly suitable for use by special forces if it has at least one knuckle protector.
[0018] The glove according to the invention is preferably designed as a glove for police or military.
[0019] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of an exemplary embodiment of the invention, based on the figure of the drawing, which shows details essential to the invention, and from the claims. The features shown therein are not necessarily to scale and are presented in such a way that the special features of the invention can be clearly seen. The various features can be implemented individually or in combinations in variants of the invention.
[0020] An embodiment of the invention is shown in the schematic drawing and explained in more detail in the following description.
[0021] The single figure shows a plan view of the back of a glove 1. The glove 1 has a cuff 2 in the area of the wearer's wrist. The cuff 2 is made of a first material. The cuff 2 has a recess 3 which is filled with a second material 4. The second material 4 is sewn to the first material of the cuff. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the recess 3 is semicircular. It is thus adapted to the shape of a round watch. In particular, the watch can lie partially in the area of the recess 3 and thus be covered by the second material 4. The second material 4 can simply be lifted or pushed to the side in order to reveal the watch and be able to read it.
[0022] Because the recess 3 is made of a different material than the rest of the cuff 2, the cuff 2 as a whole can adapt particularly well to the shape of a watch.
[0023] The figure also shows that the glove has knuckle protectors 5, 6.
